Staff members are extremely nice, helpful and always make sure that you are enjoying your time at the hotel. Bed was very comfortable and the facilities available in the room (bathroom, desk with multiple drawers, extra pillows and warm blankets, towels, TV set, etc) were great to use over the week. Hotel is near the main tourist attractions (Chateau de Caen, Quai Vendeuvre, historic city centre where modern architecture meets ancient vestiges from the past, office du tourisme for info and leaflets, Musee de Normandie, Memorial de Caen, library, shops, restaurants, university, Jardin des Plantes, various parks scattered across the city, etc) and cultural events (Theatre de Caen, CDN d'Herouville, Theatre des Cordes, Cafe des Images, Cinema Lux, Musee des Beaux-Arts, FRAC Normandie, etc), which is very convenient when visiting Caen and walking on the outskirts (Herouville, Venoix, Maladrerie, Mondeville, Cote-De-Nacre). Also took the opportunity to travel to Ouistreham by bus (bus 12 from Tour Leroy) for a nice walk at the beach and back to the city centre afterwards. Heaven. Recommended 100%.

The location is right in the heart of Caen. There are many bus routes accessible from here. Museums are nearby, and when all else fails, the Tourist Information Centre is just around the corner. Right next door is a nice restaurant. I was greeted warmly and provided with lots of information about where to visit in Caen and area.

* Staff was very friendly. In the evening, when checking in and for breakfast, too. * Good location near the Caen city centre.

* The bed fitting sheet wasn't cleaned. It had hairs and fuzzballs of other colours on it. * Breakfast was only carbohydrates. No eggs. No cheese. No ham. For the price paid for it, you can have a more balanced breakfast somewhere else.

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Room cleaned, linen changed daily. Great wifi. Early check-in was no problem. We received a very friendly welcome and were told about everything important to see in Caen. Hotel is centrally located and if needed, easy to get a local bus to anywhere in town. Carrefour grocery store right next door. Easy 20 minute walk from train and bus stations.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was central to visit the majority of sites of interest. The transport system was easy to use, and the tramlines were near to the hotel location.

The hotel decore was a little tired but that was a minor issue.

The landlady was very helpful and friendly. Even tough my check in time was for the afternoon, I arrived on the overnight ferry and chanced my arm by turning up at approx 07:45. She held my cycle and luggage whilst I went to collect my marathon number and got into my room at 13:00. I can recommend this if all you want is basic, comfortable accommodation with an excellent shower and decent, typically French breakfast.

I would have liked a kettle for tea and coffee, however the landlady gave me free access to her kitchen. As I had to leave for the race at 05:30 she left it open for me all night so I could prepare the breakfast I brought with me.

We were very grateful to the hosts as they kindly allowed us to check-in after hours due to our late arrival after a ferry crossing. The hotel is in an excellent location as it’s within easy access of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a room overlooking the rear courtyard and it was very quiet (NB a Thursday night) you wouldn’t think that you were in the middle of a busy city.

As we travelled by car, the only snag we had was finding somewhere to park. Thankfully we managed to find a spot a short distance away from the hotel. (The overnight street parking cost 0.20c)

we read a lot of negative reviews and we were surprised how good it was for the money. The room was adequate in size and so was the shower room. Not big but adequate. Welcome was excellent as was most advice, especially re parking just around the corner on road 2 eu for the whole night.

The restaurant downstairs was not great. We recommend the short walk to the boats where ther are nice locations. Like we say just a tad small but fine for a night

Nice option in central Caen. Simple but clean rooms with good bathrooms. They accommodated our 3 bicycles which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.

Nothing not to like.

Good location, big rooms, close to station and the centre of town.

Personally I don’t sleep well with square pillows, I really don’t know why.
