Our stay at Staycity Aparthotels Marseille Centre Vieux Port was enhanced by several positive aspects. We were delighted to have spacious rooms for our family, which felt like having half an apartment—a great setup for families with children. Our room was comfortable, with a bed that provided a restful sleep. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The hotel offers a convenient parking option nearby, and with a card from the hotel, guests can park at a reduced cost, which is a nice touch. Additionally, the laundry service provided by the hotel was very efficient and helpful.

There were a few drawbacks to our stay. The area surrounding the hotel can be quite noisy, which may disturb light sleepers or those seeking a more peaceful environment. Additionally, we didn't feel entirely safe in the neighborhood, which could be a concern for some guests. We also chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, as it appeared to be quite limited with little variety

I recently stayed at this property and had a fantastic experience. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area on foot. The staff were very friendly and always ready to assist with any needs. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable and clean bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The shower was excellent. The kitchen was a standout feature—well-equipped with metal pots and all the essentials needed for cooking. I loved spending time on the lovely balcony, which offered a pleasant place to relax (not with the best view mind you). The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room at a comfortable temperature as needed. I also appreciated the lack of carpeted floors, which added to the cleanliness and modern feel of the space. Additional facilities like the laundry room and gym were a great bonus, making my stay even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this place for its excellent amenities and outstanding service.

Afternoon a delayed train journey which brought us into a dark and scary part of Marseille, when we got to the hotel , just after midnight, we were met by a fantastic member of staff, most welcoming which helped greatly after the anxious 20 minute walk from the railway station. The room was perfect, very well equipped kitchenette, fridge, coffee machine, kettle etc etc. Comfy beds/ pillows, beautiful bathroom with large shower and lovely toiletries. Rooms not soundproofed ( from neighbouring rooms) but quiet from street noise. We didn't have breakfast but ample places to eat and drink nearby. First time in a Stay-City Apparthotel and will definitely try out others.

This Hotel and it's concept was fantastic. Probably won't visit Marseille again.

Location, walking distance from amenities and train station

We are a family of 5 with 3 kids, we booked 2 rooms as there was no option to accommodate us in one room. I have requested at the time of booking for our rooms to be in close proximity to each other. We were two floors apart. This seriously soured our experience as we didn't go all the way to Marseille to be separated. We had early nights because of the kids and we wanted to be able to spend the evenings together. We were told we couldn't have rooms closer. I don't believe it, how hard can it be to put a family in the rooms on the same floor. Pity, because everything else was perfect, location, friendly staff, comfortable and clean apartments.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, you just need to ask for anything you qould like to have and they will find the way to help you out. Our room was clear, large, and comfortable. Close to the city center, metro station, and also to the train station.

Although inside the building and room you feel safe and comfy the surrounding area is not the best (dirty, dark). Inside the room you can also hear a lot of the noise from outside the building.

Really friendly and helpful staff - couldn't have been nicer. They were very happy to look after the luggage in the baggage room so we could do some more tourism before our afternoon train. The location is handy for the train station and the Vieux Port - easy short walk to both. It is also very close to a metro station - tho in fact we walked everywhere. The studio had everything you need - the bed was comfortable and it was all very clean. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Marseille.

Actually we had a great time. Some reviews make a big deal of the area. I'd say the area around the metro station is a bit tatty but nothing too bad.

We loved the fact that there was a small kitchen where we cooked our breakfast and had relaxing evenings with wine from Provence. We couldn't have a better location close to all stores, the port, Metro and bus/train station. A bit noisy but we were prepared for that. And when you're so tired of going sightseeing all day, you would hardly hear the noise. The staff were very helpful, answering all of our questions. There was fresh lemonade every day for the guests. And one of the evenings we were asked to take some free croissants left from breakfast.

The rooms are a bit dark.

We had a studio apartment booked but on arrival we got upgraded to an apartment for 4 people. Was a lovely bonus having the extra room. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again as location to the port was quite good.

Would be nice to have a brush and dustpan in the apartment as the apartments aren't cleaned during your stay. Also the area around the hotel seems to attract the wrong type of people but that isn't the issue of the hotel just the area of Marseille. Saying that I would happily stay here again. Just have to be vigilant around that area at night time.

Spacious apartment that allows for comfortable longer stay. Staff are great. We had a problem with the window in our room and were offered another room. Location is extremely commutable. M1 metro and buses on your doorstep. Gare St Charles 10-15 min walk for bus to the airport or other cities. There is a large Mall 5 min walk, on the way to the Port or Central.

The area attracts too many homeless people and drugs are being taken on the steps to the side. Unfortunately this is a Marseille problem and the hotel cannot do anything to resolve. We do not hold the hotel responsible in any way and only mention if you prefer a quieter location.
