+ conveniently located + safe neighbourhood + nice atmosphere + friendly staff + I stayed 2 nights in a girls' dorm (4 beds) and had really nice and considerate roommates. Our room even had a private balcony (see my 3rd picture). + the room and the bed were comfortable, but:

- the bathroom was so tiny! I measured the shower using my arm's length and estimate it at 40 x 60 cm. Therefore I cannot recommend booking a private bathroom (rather save the money and use the common ones). Hence the deduction of 1 point for comfort and equipment. - No baguette at breakfast or croissants from a boulangerie. The pastries served were industrial prebaked ones. I'd have loved to be offered really good French bakery products even if this would have meant paying a little bit more for the breakfast. Additionally, there was neither cheese nor vegetables available at breakfast. - Every morning there were problems with the WIFI. My electronic devices were connected, but there was no connection to the internet (maybe an overload?)

Friendly staff, great brekfeast for 9 €, or smaller for 3 €. Nice place, everything clean.

There is no ordinary kitchen. There is a nice place wirh kettle, microwave and fridge. No sink. The dishes are washed by staff in the brekfeast/entry room. No problem, just good to know.

Cl and comfortable. Patio is very good.

The bathroom in the room is too small. The kitchen doesn't have any things to cook., just have a microwave and an electric kettle.

Staff was very nice, rooms really ok

The common area bathrooms were flooded with water after people had taken showers. But everything was super clean so it was acceptable.

Nice hostel close to the train station and old port, a metro station is also close. Beautiful terrace where you can sit enjoy the evening or day, at certain days they do some entertaining stuff like drawing classes, standup shows and other. Beds are comfortable and have curtains for privacy. Friendly and helpful staff

There's only 2 bathrooms(male and female) with 2 toilets and 2 shower stalls on the floor with 13 rooms, so it provokes queues from time to time. Also the showers sewage is organised poorly so if you come to the bathroom after 2 people showered, the whole floor of the bathroom outside the stalls is flooded. The kitchen doesn't have a kettle, only a microwave oven, so if you want some tea you have to buy it at the bar

Good area, center, near the embankment, cafes and bakeries, safe, I returned after midnight, everything was good, clean room, excellent comfortable mattress, excellent quality bed, wide bed, there is a curtain, toilet and shower in the room, no shampoo and body gel, you need to make a deposit for a towel, which is not refundable, but you can buy everything at Monoptix which is very close to the hostel. You can leave your luggage in a cell in the basement, you pay yourself through the terminal, convenient and safe, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, place to chat and eat inside and outside, everything is very well organized, you do not wash the dishes, the staff does everything

I was upgraded to a smaller room without asking. The courtyard was very nice and allowed for easy conversation with new people. Free water was offered. The rooms were very clean, including bathroom. There was option to lock items away, but otherwise not much storage space. Air con and windows that open. I had a room with en suite.

Communal bathroom wasn’t that clean. chill room was underused and dark -not very chill. There were no sanitary products in any bathroom and none at the desk, which is an oversight for a hostel not to offer. Decoration was quite kitschy inside too, and whole place had a big gentrified feel to it. If you want a hotel at hostel prices this is good. Good modern hostel. So so so annoying though that you can’t take the stairs as the elevator has a big wait, and it doesn’t show you what floor it is on. Also you can’t sit outside at night which I understand but still a drawback. Also was in an area that is a bit shady (but not really, just catcalling and people hanging around) but pretty close to places you want to see like the old town or the port.

Bed was comfortable and with 160 cm height I could stretch my legs comfortably. Curtain is really useful - feels private. The lighting was good as well, bright and adjustable - I could read, the room with 8 beds on the 1st floor was spacious, clean linen. Good wifi, fast check in and check out.

In the bathroom there were no hooks on the walls and there was no place to put the clothes while having shower. And the lockers in the room were of weird size - looks big, but it was very difficult to store a standard carry on there. It almost didn't fit. Bring your padlock

Location is great, 12 mins walk to the train station and very close to the harbour. I really like Marseille, there are so manly lovely things to see within walking distance to the hostel, and you can catch public transport to hikes to see the calenques. Staff were mostly really helpful and friendly. The storage lockers (which you pay for) are great, I never feel that it’s very safe leaving my bag in a room which everyone has access to, so I appreciated that option. Also they have a shower available for if you have checked out, which was great for me as I could freshen up after doing a hike, prior to a train ride to my next destination.

Location was good, 5-10 minutes from main harbour. Beds and pillows were super comfy, with shelving, personal light and curtain for privacy. One bathroom in the dorm which I prefer over shared bathroom in the corridor. Locker in room but need your own padlock (larger is better). Can rent a towel for 4 Euros. Nice downstairs space if you want to chill. Bag storage 4 Euros for 6 hours but other options too. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

No kitchen - this was a big disadvantage to me. They have a fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery but nothing else. There was a kettle base but the kettle was missing so had to ask for hot water. No sink to wash up own tupperware. Staff - Some were friendly, some weren't (maybe it just depends who you see). Upon check in, I was barely told anything about the place, e.g. where anything was, details about breakfast, crockery/cutlery free to use, where to find the fridge labels. A general introduction to the place and facilities would have been helpful. Staff did replace the soap in my dorm's bathroom which was good of them but did take some convincing.
