This hotel is surprising: friendly people, early check-in was possible, no fuss. I waited for a delivery - no problem. I stored my bags the entire day - no problem. Yes, there are stairs and no elevator, yes the rooms are small but for a one star hotel so close to the Marais - what exactly do people expect? Some of the bad comments make me laugh. 4* service at 1* prices? You obv get what you pay for - only here a little more! I arrived early and they allowed me into my room immediately (that is the first time in 15 years travelling to Paris that this has happened to me). The room smelled clean and the floors were still damp - meaning cleaning was thorough. There were some soaps etc for shower and washing. The bathroom was small - but clean. I was one person, I stayed there one night. I was happy.

The location is excellent, walking distance to many tourists attractions. My single room was on level one so no need to climb up many stairs. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Right outside the hotel is a laundromat, heaps of cafes/restaurants, pharmacy, grocery. The Metro is about 2mins walk. The area seems safe, though I didn't venture out late at night. The photos on the site are realistic.

The toilet, shower sink, and shower are together in one room with no division, and it's a very small room. If you're on the bigger side you may have difficulty sitting on the toilet bowl as the sink is right next to it and slightly blocking the toilet. I'm medium built but still had difficulty sitting on the toilet bowl. Other than that, the place is excellent.

Good location, close to the metro station so it was easy to access other parts of the city + several restaurants, bars and cafés nearby The room for 4 people was bigger than I expected, there were 2 large beds, a sofa, 2 desks and an en-suite bathroom of course so we were quite comfortable The room was clean overall, with towels and bedsheets included with the room. They also provided small shampoos. They cleaned up our room while we were away and changed our towels as well. Very friendly staff! There was always someone at the reception and they were really kind to us. We were able to borrow a bunch of cutleries and other kitchen items we needed and make tea as well

While the room seemed clean, I noticed a big chunk of hair folded into one of the towels we received on the second day. It was no big deal, but I hope they do clean their towels and bedsheets. The room was a bit cold, you can only heat up the room with an AC which is really loud so you cannot really leave it on at night. Personally I did not mind this, but the stairs were very narrow and steep. Accessing upper floors might cause some trouble, especially with bigger luggage

The hotel is very central, you can walk to pretty much anywhere, also the metro is close by but because we also found ourselves walking we never used it :D The room was clean and we had daily cleaning service (which was not necessary at all but welcome). It was exceptionally quiet as well! And our room was overlooking a sort of landing in between buildings, so our "window" was actually a glass door that led out onto that landing and we used that area as a sort of balcony :D and we were very happy with that :D

The shower area is "closed off" with a very inadequate glass pane and all the water gets out of the shower. And the bathroom door is not a door but a sliding frosted-glass pane which is really not useful at all. Also the room needs hooks to hang stuff. If the hotel staff read this: Hooks in hotel rooms are so practical, attach a few sturdy hooks to the walls, they'll be much appreciated!

This place is in a great location, is very affordable and delivers what it says it will very well. It’s NOT a fancy boutique hotel but it delivers value for money, with small but clean rooms with all the things you need for a short stay in Paris and is 2 minutes from a metro station and a 15min walk from the Gare de Nord. My stay was great - the staff are also very friendly and helpful

Be aware there is no elevator and the bathrooms are tiny - but you get what you pay for in Paris

For the city centre in Paris this was a very pleasant hotel. The staff were very welcoming. My top-floor room was small and basic but also clean, bright, comfortable and very quiet, with a comfortable bed. I enjoyed a glimpse of surrounding rooftops from the dormer window. I especially liked the tiled wet-room style (open plan with no shower cabinet) of the bathroom.

Access to the upper floors is via narrow, steep stairs. Anyone old, unfit or carrying heavy luggage would find this challenging. Younger visitors may find it bohemian, in a Parisian way.

You get what you pay for and honestly I would have paid more. Fantastic location, great and friendly staff, easy to get to. Lovey lobby. Lovely rooms. Your private bathroom isn't in your room but it's next door. You have 2 keys. 1 for your room and 1 for the bathroom. Bathroom and bedroom was clean absolutely nothing to complain about. Comfy affordable and a beautiful peice of architecture just up the road from the hotel. Would absolutely stay again when visiting Paris.

Had no complaints especially for the low price we paid.

The family room we stayed in was huge, the bathroom and separate toilet were very nicely renovated. The beds were comfortable and the linen lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was conveniently located near the station and a short walk to the river. A great little hotel and we would stay there again.

The room was on the 4th floor and there were a lot of stairs, which were in the process of being renovated. No elevator. Aside from this, the room was perfect.

Spacious room located on the 3rd floor (In France 2nd floor). Great location, open 24/7, staff were very friendly and helpful. Most did not speak much Upper RP, but a translator keeps the bedbugs away. Speaking of bugging out, there were no bed bugs on the premises, although they might want to start cleaning under the beds, to accommodate the great expectators among us. Wi-Fi great first day, then bad, then good. Too lazy to ask the reception for a router restart. Did not try the breakfast, but we found heaps of truly spectacular breakfast joints in the area. Overall, a great place to stay for 4 days.

Opinions are like buttocks: Split down the middle, but I thought the beds were a tad hard.

Very good location, easy public transport access, and pretty safe neighbourhood. The hotel staff was friendly and very welcoming, helpful when needed (electricity went out and they solved this very fast). Comfortable rooms, and for Paris very good price for value

A little too hear-through rooms, you could hear someone in the next room sneeze, but it wasn't that much of a problem for our stay, sine in Paris you don't spend much time at the hotel itself. This didn't affect sleep quality!!
