Didnt try the breakfast. The hotel stuff was very helpful. Room is very good. The hotel is close to station and also to supermarket, pharmacy and good restaurants. There was a restaurant next to the hotel, food was amazing and cheap! I ate there almost everyday. Over all the stay was amazing, room was very clean. I asked them for an iron to iron my clothes they provided it immediately, also I asked if I can increase temperature of the heater, they increased it and asked me if I needed an extra heater in my room. The only thing that I didn't like, was during shower water temperature fluctuated from low to high without me touching it, I was about to burn my back but my reaction was fast every time.

Water temperature should be fixed.

We booked 2 x ‘classic single room’ and I must admit I wasn’t expecting much based on previous stays in Paris… but was very pleasantly surprised with the room !! Spacious with a double bed, very comfortable, and with en-suite bathroom. Guy at reception very friendly. Few doors down from a restaurant/ bar that stayed open late which was handy for late evening celebrating 👍 but far enough away to not be a noise factor for hotel. I would certainly stay there again

The hotel is simple but neat and clean, exactly what we needed! The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept amazingly! The room had a little desk, a chair, a small clothes hanging rack, a suitcase bench, a bedside table, and nightlights on both sides of the bed. Hand soap and shampoo were provided. There was a safe, but it was too small to fit a tablet or a laptop. There was no closet in the room or drawers, but we didn't need any. We came for 3 days in Paris and needed a decent place just to sleep in and mostly travel. We needed a place cheaper than in the city center, but also in a nice area, which it was! We felt safe, there are restaurants and bakeries near the hotel. It's located literally on a metro station, and it was super easy to get around. The staff was kind and helpful!

There was hot water in the shower, but during usage, it would turn boiling hot or cold 2-3 times (as if someone else is using the water simultaneously). Also, the walls and ceiling are not very soundproof but it didn't bother us, at night the hotel was quiet.

I stayed at Modern Est Hotel during my trip to Paris and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a mid-range hotel with very affordable prices, especially for such a central location. The metro station is just a short walk away, which made it super convenient to get around the city. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby — you’ll never run out of options. The hotel itself is simple but clean and comfortable. It can get a little noisy at times due to the lively neighborhood, but after a long day exploring Paris, it didn’t bother me at all — I slept like a rock! Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in a great location, Modern Est Hotel is a solid choice.

Location was excellent, one train station just opposite and other around 10 mins walk, metro just before the entrance of the hotel. A lots of restaurants around with a variety of food. The room was big enough, clean, warm and simply, but nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable, with a good pillows. I really liked a big widows I could open in the morning for a fresh air. I did not try the breakfast. The bathroom had everything needed and it was so clean it looked like new, just I needed to be careful in the shower to do not break anything because the shower space was small. The water pressure was very good and temperature too. The staff was welcoming and always ready to help.

Both men on reception were really nice and helpful, I felt safe and taken care of as a woman travelling alone! On top of that it’s very clean, the bed is super comfy I slept so well. And the room is quite large for hotel in paris! Plus the location is great it’s 10 min walk to gare du nord station and right outside gare du est, you’re right by trendy area for food and bars!

The walls are quite thin so you can hear people in the room next to you. Also no AIR CON, it was quite hot and had to have my windows wide open, They supply you with a fan in your room but it was still very hot in the day time and humid at night. Also I wasn’t allowed to bring a friend up to help me unpack, I feel like it’s fine to not bring people to sleep over but you should be able to have a visitor as you’re paying enough!

I loved everything about the Hotel. It is very well located, and we were not bothered by any sounds because we got the room with the view at the courtyard, not at the street (maybe this is important). We heard neighbors a few times, but since I sleep always in earplugs, I did not feel any disturbance :) Personnel is very nice and friendly! We felt comfortable. Thank you. Also good that there is a subway entrance right in front of the Hotel, and there are also a lot of shops and restaurants around. Elevator is working well, and rooms are not tiny.

It will be a long list. The staff are all helpful and genial people who pursue excellence in their work. I was greeted by a very kind staff the moment I reached Modern Est. He answers all your queries with zest and gives good advice. The room is a pleasant surprise with somewhat an oriental feel. The colours are soothing and the toilet is nicely renovated too. I'm most impressed that though we didn't ask for room service, the staff came to change the toilet mat and do the sheets every day. The location is great with the metro station right at your doorstep. The area is well lit with a Burger King right beside it, certainly not all dark and grim as shown in google photos. It is easy to get to airport or take eurostar from Modern Est and with such friendly staff, you know you're in the right place for an enjoyable stay!

It's our second time at the hotel. It is located direcly in front of Gare de l'Est. The location is excellent for us as we arrive, drop off the bags, and continue for meetings. The connection to public transportation is excellent. The room is simple but clean and has a fridge and a kettle for hot water. There might be better options for sensitive people who sleep with open windows and are sensitive to noise. Though with windows closed you can't bearly hear anything. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom has a bathtub, and it is renovated. The hotel is relatively small, and the staff is always friendly. We'll be back, and we can recommend :)

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The check-in process was smooth, and the receptionist was friendly and professional. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The hotel staff deserves special recognition. They were always ready to assist with a smile, whether it was providing directions, arranging transportation, or offering recommendations for local attractions. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, ensuring that my room was always clean and well-maintained.
