For us, the location close to the motorway from Stuttgart to Munich, was perfect and it was very easy to find. Beautiful building and lavishly decorated downstairs. Authentic, delicious Italian dinner. Secure private off road parking available. Good breakfast, the omelette was perfect. The waiter at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, warm, very spacious, as was the bathroom, and a comfortable matress.

No lift. We were on the second floor so it would have been nice if someone could assist with bags. The check in person was not especially welcoming or helpful. Clearer information on how to work the TV and wifi password would have been helpful. On the other hand, the owner / manager was very pleasant when asked. Like most hotels in mainland Europe, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We would urge the management to rearrange the furniture in our room (204). There are low diagonal beams, making it almost impossible to get out of the bed on one side without sustaining a significant head injury, especially in the dark at night. Similarly by the desk. Swopping the beds around would make it a lot safer.

We were welcomed by friendly staff who kindly took our cases to the second floor. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and there is plenty of it, extremely good value. Our rooms were big and and the beds firm and comfortable

Being on the second floor, the room which was on the top floor was really hot, even at the start of May. I can only assume all the heat from the kitchens and restaurant goes upwards and it was unbearable at times. We did have fans in our room which were a godsend! The windows were not really big enough to help. There was a lack of plug sockets and I had to unplug my mini fridge to charge my phone.

We warned the reception desk at the hotelwe were going to be much later than our announced arrival time due to unforeseeable traffic jams on the Austrian motorways between 5 and 9 pm !! We needed to ring back a few times as we noticed the traffic situation worsened ...but the man at thez hotel reception was very understandind and forthcoming...and calmed us by sying he'd wait until 1.30 in the morning untilwe would arrive. Finally, we left the Autobahn at 8.45 pm and decided we would try and grab dinner somewhere and by the end of the dinner then hopefully the traffic jams would have been solved...which was the case !! :-) We then called back to the hotel and let the same nice man at the reception know we were arriving around 12.30 am.... upon which her replied we shouldn't rush and take no risks speeding to get to the hotel earlier !! If only all hotel receptionists were like that !! It really tkes off the stress one has already built up because of all the trouble on the road !! Upon arriving at the hotel...the same nice man gave us a warm welcome, said I (the man of the couple) still looked quite fit and asked if I'd like a glass of red wine !! If my partner had not been so tired and worn out..I probably would have accepted the offer... The a colleadue of him hearingus talk of a the birhday of our son we were going to be celebrating in Belgium the next day jokingly suggested to open a bottle of prosecco to drink to our son"s health .... What a nice way to end a rather stressful day !! The next morning, a rich breakfast awaited us in a classically decorated dining room... reminiscent of the old Roman villas... table cloths and napkins in linnen.... I mean ..the works !! Italian staff was really making us feel at home. Upon checking out, the same nice man from the reception suggested - upon learning we'd been staying in Pula, Croatia, that he has friends over there and could arrange, if the situation so presented itself, for accomodation !

Staff were really pleasant and bent over backwards, kinda got through the bilingual with a bit of finger pointing and laughing, Bed was unbelievably comfortable

Curtains could have been a bit thicker for a darker room Would have been nice for a kettle being from the UK and cuppas being essential but certainly wasn't a turn off from the beautiful building

The staff were both helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had two meals in the restaurant and they were excellent. Location was also very good ,with a 35 minute walk into the Old Town.

A small criticism would be the breakfast was very ordinary. However, the coffee is very good.

Lovely to experience the personality of Italy in an otherwise beige German town. Loads of personality. Staff were friendly. The venue, and the coffee(!) was an oasis in a rather drab town.

Communication was a bit tricky...but that goes with the territory. Did not expect strong English skills (need to pick up some Italian!) Luckily the language of coffee is universal 🙂

Friendly environment and very good restaurant. The breakfast was also very good, and included in the price.

There is no lift, but for us it was not so bad to walk up the stairs. Not really close to the centre, if you walk. The mattresses were the only real negative point: far too soft.

Good location. we have received room in Attic floor. it’s a spacious room, but with little ventilation. No lift. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast is too basic which should be improved, Car can be parked in the premises which is good. Wi-Fi is available, but we handle got signal in the room. This should be improved.

Very nice staff, very nice and nicely restored building.

Cleanliness was lacking in non-obvious spots, like dead bugs between window panes, large resident spiders on sun shades . Wiuld benefit from an interior designer.

Lovely property with great staff, especially the cheery guy who did breakfast every day and was super efficient

There was only 1 thing, the low ceiling roof trusses in some of the bedrooms which for anyone over 5’4” werent ideal
