The hotel is right in the middle of town which is a great first stop after arriving to Germany via Frankfurt. The hotel is family owned for generations and the hospitality is excellent with the owner there overseeing guest satisfaction and who is also a top rated chef. Views are spectacular. Rooms are modern with AC. Breakfast was personal with our name tagged on it he table making us feel special. The coffee was the best I’ve ever had and apparently it’s due to a special filter the hotel has. We had dinner on the terrace our first night with a great selection of local wines and fine dining. They were also helpful with our travel plans. Perfect location for day trips along the Rhein with the KD board dock in walking distance. We stayed two nights and could have easily stayed two more!

There is no elevator so just know you’ll have to carry luggage up stairs.

This charming and friendly family-run hotel was filled with traditional character. Our room, located on the top floor, offered a lovely view of major landmarks in Bacharach. Although the room, particularly the bathroom, was small, it was perfectly functional. We didn't hear any train noise during our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and our dinner at the hotel's restaurant was so good the first night that we immediately reserved a table for the following evening. The meals featured delicious local cuisine and wine. Bacharach itself was quiet and beautiful, and the hotel was conveniently located in the center of that town, near the KD boat dock.

This was our first stop after an overnight flight from Dallas. We were exhausted and trying to keep busy in order to adjust to the time zone. They let us check in two hours early and loaned us very nice cruiser bikes for a ride up the river. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great followed by a pleasant walk around the picturesque, cobblestone streets of the town. Wonderful all around!

There is a busy train line right next to the property, but the hotel did everything possible to mitigate the disturbance including providing earplugs.

This was a phenomenal place to stay in Bacharach. The location is right by the water, and many of the rooms have River views. The town is small, so everything is easily accessible. It was very clean and the staff were so kind and helpful in planning my activities and stay there. They also offer free bicycle rentals (but bring your own helmet) and the breakfast they serve is very delicious.

It was about a 10-15 minute walk on nearly exclusively cobblestone from the Bacharach train station, so it would be a little tough to get there if you have the rolling checked luggage type of suitcases.

The staff was so warm, welcoming and helpful. Especially Lisa at the reception desk. She helped us with boat tours, gave us everything we wanted (like extra pillows and towels) and generously upgraded us from the basic room to a suite. The restaurant served delicious food and service was terrific. Breakfast was complete, including perfectly boiled eggs. The location is unbeatable, so easy to get to. And the room rates and restaurant prices were reasonable.

If you’re a light sleeper like me, you will need earplugs for the train noise.

The staffs are super friendly, actively helping us, and speak perfect English. The room is clean, the design of the room and the hotel is very beautiful. Breakfast is great, and you can also eat dinner there. High quality, too.

The sink in the bathroom is not good. Water splashes everywhere when using. Samsung Smart TV but only TV channels, lol. Parking space is relatively small compare to number of rooms and restaurant capacity, but that's the best the owner can do. It's a small old town which listed in UNESCO anyway, should keep it that way.

This hotel is easy to find, parking, and overlooks the Rhine river. my room was very comfortable, clean and modern. My room overlooked the Rhine river. My friends room overlooked the castle and the mountainside. The very best part of this day was the fabulous restaurant, which has been written up with great reviews. It did not disappoint. in fact, reset next to a couple who comes several times a year and always eats every dinner at this hotel. The menu is diverse and it is all locally sourced and is called slow dining. I will be back to the Rhine and I will stay at the ride hotel. I could not say enough about it.

Oh my goodness. What a fine! This hotel overlooks the Rhine. Train rushes by quietly due to the quadruple pane windows. Rooms will view the river or the castle. Perfect location. The restaurant is it’s grounding glory apparently the chef is quite renowned. And the meals are incredible. Slow eating, locally, sourced foods prepared in extremely unique ways. Deliciously prepared. Most of the restaurant was filled with happy locals. Fine dining at reasonable prices. My room faced the river. It was cozy and extremely clean. We will be coming back again and again, and will never eat anywhere else!

I really enjoyed how staff made us feel comfortable during our stay. Everyone was friendly and professional and attended to our needs. During dinner we had the chef/owner come and say hello to us. Breakfast was fresh with a variety of things to select from. The hotel was walking distance to everything (train, town, Rhine river, park etc) Rooms have been recently remodeled and were comfortable to rest in yet the location still retains its local charm. I did not have any problems sleeping due to proximity of train station. We truly enjoyed our stay, very relaxing.

Latest check in time stated it was 8:00p.m. We had some delays with our trains and knew we would be getting there a little past 8 p.m. I tried calling the hotel and sending message to let them know our situation but no one answered the call. I was nervous that we would run into issues since non of our calls were answered. Fortunately for us we arrived and had no problems checking in.

Nice breakfast, eggs to order. Outstanding dinners prepared by the owner. Indoor dining - and outdoor dining overlooking the Rhine. On request they will make up your room every day. The AC control was well hidden, we didn't find it until the end of our stay [but we really didn't need it]. We didn't realize until the last day there's a back above-ground walkway that goes almost all the way to the train station, and takes you past eateries we hadn't known about. No elevator. Right next to the train tracks, but our room overlooked the street and we never heard the trains.
