Great things - You do not need keys/ a card to enter, you just need to memorize your code which is very practical. - Nice city and nice hostel location in the city (city centre is only 20min walking distance) - nice beds (only the pillow was too hard) - Considering it is a hostel that is used by many people at once, it felt relatively clean. I have seen much worse in hostels. - A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom.
Worst thing - The noise/ bass from the Ballhaus party below the hostel because it lasted even after midnight and earplugs didn't help. But it was luckily only on one night. Other bad things - Someone stole my sweets from the fridge :( - Apart from using the microwave you cannot cook. - Water in the bathroom has a weird taste. - Shower is very small and the water stream was not sufficiently strong for good cleaning. - I have seen hostels where you have more privacy. In this hostel the beds are very open with no curtains or room dividers.

The location is perfect - 1 min to the metro, 15 mins to Berlin Hauptbahnhof and very close to main Berlin attractions. The private room was quite spacious, with clean bedsheets and towels. Overall, I would recommend this hostel.
The private room is on the attic floor, which is not very comfortable. Also, the attic windows were rather dirty. There is a beautiful Ballhaus downstairs, and while I like the music from the 1920s, it was not so fun to listen to at 3 AM in my room instead of heaving a good night sleep.

The hostel was very well located, it was only 3 minutes from the subway and 5 minutes from the Strassenbahn. The kitchen was well equiped with everything someone might need during the stay, but it had no stove (which I think it's good, this way there are no strong food smells in the hostel). The hostel was pretty quiet durig the night, so I had no problem sleeping. Bathrooms were shared with the entire floor, only two toilets and two showers, but they were very clean and cleaned up every day.
There was almost no staff around, so if I had any problems I wouldn't really be able to contact anyone without having to call and then wait. I booked a mixed room because was the only one available and unfortunally there was only men in the room besides me and my friend, which made us somewhat uncunfortable. This is not a big problem, but on the site it said they had an area with music instruments one can play during the stay, but the guitar strings where broken I the piano wouldn't work

Very clean place! It has individual lockers per bunk bed which is cool. A few steps away from main metro station; friendly staff <3 self check in/out available. The building has recovered pieces of original Berlin wall, a nice food truck (please try curry wurst there, from all places we tried that’s the best), a beer garden with nice drinks, and some other options to chill out. This is a place with historical value, I would say you get more from what you pay.
Just a recommendation, to have visual aids within rooms to encourage guest moderation with noise after certain hours, but so far all was great!

I really liked the vibe, location and rooms in the hostel! Found everything I needed. Sheets and room were clean and I got 2 towels for the price of one! The lockers in the rooms were super handy with the key system. The kitchen and common room were great.
Check in proved a bit difficult for everyone and whenever I went downstairs I saw someone struggling with it (myself included). I also found the sinks in both the shower room and toilet room rather difficult as you couldn’t wash your face or really clean your teeth (the water in both had one temperature and only the toilet sink was accessible)

The room incl bathroom was spacious, cosy and clean, as shown in photos. Comfortable bed. Fresh smelling bedding and towels. Good value for price. Noise level was ok (guests entering and leaving, or drying hair in the shared bathroom) and then it was quiet at night. The shared space attached to the kitchen seemed spacious, clean and welcoming. Good beer at the pub downstairs with friendly staff!
The stairway doesn't look very nice (old carpet...). Shared kitchen was clean on hostel level, i.e. not particularly clean ;) but not offensive. That is on the guests sharing the space... The self check system worked ok, but it took me a while to figure out the room #.

+ everything is very clean, all the spaces are well-organised + modern devices, like self-checkin machine, keyless access, hand dryer embedded in the tap, electro soap distributer + the bed is ready, I arrived after midnight and I didn't have to disturb other people to put on the linnen. + sockets, bed lighting, the personal space is big enough + lockers
-bunk beds are low, when you are on the 1st level, you always hit your head -no signs/directions to the kitchen, could not find it

Clean and simple hostel. It reminded me of the old school hostels, where the vibe is just as important as the facilities. It has character and doesn't look like most hostels nowadays, which are basically modern hotels with dorm rooms. Although the social area wasn't amazing and the hostel looks a bit sketchy from the outside, once you go in, you see that everything is clean and tidy.
My room had a funky smell no matter how long we left the windows open. Shower only had warm water and the shower head should be cleaned from limescale buildup. The water flow was too strong and turbulent.

I needed a place to sleep before and the night after minor surgery and booked a double room. The room was very spacious and close to the loo. There was also a common room with shared kitchen nearby. Perfect! Everything I needed without moving too much was nearby. The bed was very comfy with a thick, not too hard mattress, and the duvet nice and thick. Perfect as well. The staff was very friendly. This is not a party hostel and hence it was very quiet overall. Yes, I could hear the latin dance (?) venue next door in the evening, but they'd stopped before I went to sleep. Locationwise it was convenient just a short stroll from a bus stop and other transport links. Several supermarkets and eateries nearby.

The location is very central, with nice cafes nearby. The rooms are clean, and the shared bathrooms are well-maintained. The place has an interesting history, adding to its charm. Check-in was easy, and overall, it exceeded my expectations.
However, we slept in a room with skylights but without any curtains or window blinds, making it difficult to sleep in the morning. You have to bring your own towel. The kitchen area was a bit dirty, but guests should be more responsible and don't forget to clean up after themselves.
