Location. It’s in lively Friedrichshain area. Walking distance to public transport (also to go to airport ) Quiet road. Friendly staff. Large room, comfortable bed, well functioning bathroom, window giving on green space, good WiFi. Price is fine for area. Hotel feels like a converted home so it’s sad that there isn’t a small fridge or a kettle for tea / coffee.

No lift so luggage to haul up the stairs. No coffee/tea facility. No air con.

The room was nice, clean and cosy.I fell off the bed because it was too small for me but in general it is comfortable. The street was calm, I could sleep in peace. The bathroom was great and big enough. You even get a slipper.

The breakfast was really limited, poor option to choose from. The fruits were full of flies in the kitchen, you cannot grab as much egg as you need but the staff asks you whether you want to have it or not and only a very limited portion. They do not fill it up the breakfast station so if you woke up later you have almost nothing to choose from. You will not be able to occupy your room earlier than the afternoon otherwise you have to pay extra 20 EUR for that. There is no regular air conditioner in the room but only a fan/ventilator.

We stayed only for 1 night, but the hotel was quite, although it was in a lively neighborhood. And our room had a courtyard view away from the street. Very close to U-Bahn station. Lots of restaurants and cafes around, even at later hours.

It must be the most "German" hotel you may find in Berlin that it may bring tears to your eyes :) But joking aside, the only setback may be that the wifi only worked at the door of the room but not inside! There is also a lack of elevators for higher floors which is a pain if you have luggages. Not so close to S-Bahn if you have business rather on that line.

Hotel Kiez was very clean, and the staff were AMAZING! The lady who checked me in was super-efficient, and very nice and friendly. I forgot to bring a plug adapter, and she very kindly loaned me an adaptor for my phone cable. Location of the hotel was ok.... the area was safe, and I found a beautiful Italian cafe 5 mins walk where I had dinner. However, I couldn't see any nice cafes for an after dinner coffee, or the following morning for a coffee or breakfast. The hotel was 15-20 mins walk from the subway station, I was coming from the airport and google maps was my "guide".

The hotel was very basic, it was somewhere to sleep and leave, not a lobby to relax in. Felt more like a posh hostel. The price was high for this, but I think there was an event in Berlin when I was there, it seems to be good value at other times. I couldn't find any nice cafes in the area, and I walked around for almost an hour!

The receptionists Kathleen, and the other kind lady in the evening, were very nice and helpful. The room was as described/pictured, and it was quiet as I requested a room at the back of the property, and not on the 3rd floor, so I stayed in room 207 on the 1st floor and it was good + quiet. I also requested a fan, as it was a hot day, and they provided this in my room waiting for me too. Thanks again to the great staff at Hotel Kiez Pension!

There was no elevator, but I was only on the 1st floor, so it was not really a problem.

We stayed at this particular hotel for a concert at the Mercedes Benz Arena, It was about a 25 minute walk from the hotel which took you pasty many bars and restaurants. Its excellent location for the U-Bahn into the city centre which takes about 10 minutes. From Shonefeld airport get the S9 train to Frankfurter Alee station (about 35 min journey) and it's about 7 minute walk to the hotel. If you wish to travel about on the S-Bahn (train) U-bahn (underground) and trams. We got a 72 hour ticket for 40 euros but make sure you get the zone A,B and C as the airport is in zone C. Hotel was very clean and tidy, Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and we was asked if we would like an omelette which was good. Overall a great experience.

Nothing to complain about

Perfect location right next to two metro stations. The friedrichshain area is full of beautiful caffes, bars and restaurants, so you have plenty to choose from at a close distance.

Our room was located at the back of the building, overseeing a school courtyard, so it was a little noisy early in the morning on weekdays. There was no mini fridge in the room, we could have used it for our water and refreshments as the weather was quite hot.

The hotel is located in Friedrichshain quartier, very close to Samaritaner U-Bahn Station (U5 with direct connection to the center). Also very close to Ostkreuz, to take thentrain Very friendly staff, luggage room at any time, comfortable mattress and shower, sockets near the bed. The room is not huge, but big enough for couple of nights. Good breakfast with sweet and salty food, for a price of € 15,00

Maybe the fact that there is no elevator. And at the end of the aisle at the third floor the wireless was totally absent (our room was the last one)

5 walk minutes to U-bahn and Netto shop. We could ask hot water for the tea. Enough quite in spite of powerful Frankfurter Allee in 50 m. We had no neighbors therefore we could not say about noise protection in the room. Shouer had strong flow of hot and cold water and good regulated. Window looks into the yard where you can observe the schoolers during the interruptions each 45 min. TV worked simple and reliable. Use this Berlin hotel during Weihnachtsfest!

To add tea kettle, two caps and spoons

First things first, the Staff was so nice! The room was very clean and you have enough space for storage. The bed is really comfortable. You have your own closet with enough space for your clothes, hangers for your jackets and a mirror. Bathroom was very clean as well, enough towels to use and 2 cups for toothpaste/toothbrush, a normal mirror plus a smaller adjustable one and of course a blowdryer. And just in case you forgot your shampoo there’s one in the shower! :) The breakfast in the morning is incredible with so much diversity as like yogurts, cakes, muffins, croissants, fresh fruits (kiwis,grapes), fresh vegetables (tomatoes,cucumbers), so much to choose for your toast or bread to put on! and if you don’t want bread that morning you could even choose between cornflakes/muesli! Fresh orange juice, water, milk, tea and of course coffee are also available :) The staff even asks you if you want scrambled eggs or fried eggs! There is nothing I can be mad about cause it was a wonderful stay! couldn’t take many pictures…
