Gorgeous suite directly overlooking Marienplatz and in front of the clock and large Christmas tree. This hotel is small, boutique and very well thought out proving you don’t need to be a huge complex to be as good as large 5 star chains. Our room is huge containing a full wall of glass windows, large king size bed, separate doonas (which for me has been an absolute revelation this trip!). A large casual seating area completed the room, with full desk for those who need to do some work splitting the room nicely, and finally one of the largest, most attractive bathrooms we’ve encountered on this trip. The room is quiet and did I meantime, directly over the Christmas markets? Of course I did! This is the last night of our 3 1/2 week Christmas trip, coming all the way from Melbourne Australia and yes it’s more than we would ordinarily pay (on conversion) but we are very happy with this property. Location to Old Town Munich is obviously perfect. There are subway entrances all around, but Munich is easy to walk. It was a little tricky to find the entrance as the hotel is part of what appears an ordinary building. The access door is a very unassuming glass door but once you are inside the elevator and reach level 5, an automatic glass door swings open to invite you into a beautifully presented property. There is a bar, free goodies placed out for guests, a welcome drink, complimentary mini bar and snacks in the room. Being Christmas, we also received a lovely little box of 4 x shortbreads which were devoured. A large library / seating area as well as a couple more intimate seating areas. Wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy the property, and that we had another day or two. Will definitely come back to Beyond the next time we are in Munich.

There are no doors to the shower, the floors in the shower are very slippery. There are two thin bath towels in the room and if you want to take a second shower, you dry yourself with a wet towel. The day before, I asked to check in not at 15:00, since we were leaving at 19-30, but they gave me a room only at 14-40, although check out is at 12 o'clock.

for me was a great surprise, the staff was the best than a gust can expect from all point of view. The location: doesn't exist better: in front of the Rathaus where you can see the whole square day and nights for relax or have the breakfast over there few meters to the main street shopping area, and also the most beautiful historical monuments in Munich. Lot of best restaurants in the city close to hotel. See the unbillable fireworks on the new year 360 degree....

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of our 5-week trip, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our journey. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The central location made it easy to explore Munich’s streets. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom facilities were excellent. We particularly enjoyed unwinding in the lounge area with a glass of wine after a day of exploring.

The service of all the staff in the hotel is very friendly. Its a small boutique hotel and its very personal. An extra shoutout to Sara for being a darling to making sure to book us dinner places in munich. Making great recommendations to nearby good restaurant. We had a wonderful time in the hotel and loved the location of the place too.

The hotel room would be better with windows. It had small windows like attic seal windows. The shower area did not have any door and it was open concept kind of shower. It definitely was a tat too cold.

TL;DR: Great location, easy access to the subway, a marvelous view, and fantastic service that goes above and beyond anything I ever expected. Easily the best hotel I've yet stayed at. In my travels I've stayed everywhere from luxury 5-star hotels, to tent "hotels" and youth hostels, and everything in between. In many places I've been told they want me to feel like family and like I'm at home, and it's always been a hollow phrase until I stayed at BEYOND by Geisel. It's the first place I've stayed where I actually did feel like I was staying with relatives, or maybe with a friend of a friend. As soon as I came in, I was made to feel at home. My bags were whisked away to my room and I was given a complementary glass of champagne to welcome me. I was told to relax as the check-in process was completed, and then I was given a short tour of the hotel and the various amenities that are offered. The hotel only has 19 rooms and is fairly small, so it feels cozy and not commercial & impersonal (like big luxury hotels often do). When I was shown to my room, I practically squealed in delight because it was amazing! I had an incredible view of Marienplatz, with the glockenspiel at city hall across the way. The room itself was large, with a separate lounge area and work desk, and the bathroom was a dream: a huge stand-alone soaking tub (plenty big enough for my healthy 6'2" frame), a rain shower, and a big counter with plenty of space for everything. I ended up taking a hot bubble bath one night, with a glass of champagne, and it was heavenly. The day I checked out, an employee came with me to the subway station then rode with me to the central train station, helped me buy my ticket to my next destination, and ensured I was at the right track. THIS is exactly why it felt like I really had stayed with friends or relatives!

-located directly in the centre of Munich, so everything was easily reachable by foot -room was very spacious and comfortable -shower was very nice (very spacious rain shower) -interior designed in a beautiful modern style -very small hotel (19 rooms ->hideaway hotel), made it less crowded and more private -all inclusive option has a very good value for money (offers a wide variety of food and beverages -even while bottles of wine;) ) -most of the staff is very forthcoming (i.e. making the room ready for check in 1 hour earlier, storing luggage for 6 hours after check out)

Friendly staff, personable, and provided the most amazing service. Always ensured my stay was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. Being a foreigner, the staff really made me feel at home. And the location is centralized to Marienplatz center which is nearby many famous churches, cathedrals, sights, and not to mention good restaurants & shops, all within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel to all visitors.

This is an exceptional hotel, staffed by exceptional people who you would hang out with!! The staff cannot do enough for you, the food is excellent, the suite was exceptional, the location perfect! It's definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed in...world class!! Well done to the owner and team!!

That we had to leave!

The location is perfect! Perfectly placed for all sightseeing and oktoberfest. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was perfect.

The mini varcjust had water in it, a couple of beers and a selection of soft drinks would be great.
