Room was super clean. I was worrying about noise, because of the location of hotel, but it was calm and I didn't hear any noises from outside (4th floor). Staff was so kind, always smiling and trying to help.

We paid 14 euro per person for breakfast, it was a bit expensive but due to the good staff and service I don't count it as a big problem

Good location close to the main square (10 min walk). It was clean.

The AC doesn’t work and we had a few really hot days. The desk said it is controlled offsite but it just flashed error the whole time and blew hot air. This was noted in previous reviews. When it got cooler we were able to open the windows but there is a restaurant right next door that starts cooking very early in the morning so the noise comes in the window and your room smells of food. The front desk did give us a fan that belonged to them that helped a little. Also bed choice isn’t guaranteed we booked a queen and when we checked in it was 2 twins. We had to move furniture around and out the beds together. The other direction from the hotel is a seedy area with go go clubs but if you keep away from that area at night and turn the opposite way to the square you won’t even notice.

For me the selling point was the location Metro Central Hub around the corner, everything is City Center orientated and at hand. I was not after leisure or anything like that I needed a place to stay, keep my belongings, have a shower and sleep and for that the hotel met my expectations specially because of the cleanness. However ongoing construction around the hotel may be disturbing to some people, and the room is really not at latest standard in term of furniture or the look itself. The staff was nice and forthcoming, however unable to fix the issue with AC which basically didn’t do anything when ON, to compensate the staff kindly suggested free breakfast so like I said, forthcoming and nice. The price at the moment of my stay, namely “discounted due to construction works around” is in my opinion the a proper price for level of hotel Helvetia is and offer everything above I would rate as overpriced and make me look elsewhere . With everything said if the price is right and I need a stay close to city center and metro I would conssider Helvetia again.

AC didint do a thing although there was a control in the room , fairly small room , looks and feels outdated .

The location was perfect; close (walking distance) to both Munich Hbf (main train station) as well as the Marienplatz (historic central square). The staff were very courteous and helpful.

I was originally put in a room that had been saturated with cigarette smoke, luckily the front desk manager found something more acceptable. I would have had to checkout if the situation had not been rectified. A scary situation.

Hotel location is perfect, very close to the Inner city. Shops and restaurants nearby. Trams, metro, train - bus station very close. Although Westbahnhof is a building site now we had quiet room, with no view but it didn't matter we went to the room only to rest. Air-conditioned in the room. When you enter the room is a bit hot and smelly but in 10 min we had 19 degrees outside was 32.

Poor internet connection. I logged to next door hotel connection otherwise misery.

Helpful friendly staff at the reception! Delicious buffet breakfasts served by very caring personnel. Thank you! I could turn on the heating in the room, which was important at the end of March. There was some noise from that heating though but it’s better than nothing. Spacious room. with a bathroom. The location is perfect for those who need the main station and the historical centre. The grand construction works just opposite the hotel was not a problem. Or maybe I just was lucky and didn’t hear much noise at all.

This hotel is a bit under-rated. We booked two superior single rooms. The rooms are quite spacious, and the single beds are 1.2m wide, not like the 1m ones. The rooms are clean and have all the basic stuff (kettle, tea, hairdryer, etc). The guy at reception is very friendly and flexible, trying his best to accommodate our needs. Location is very close to the train station and easy walk to the old town.

The hotel is really comfy and clean. The breakfast was good compared with the cost.

The location is good as accessibility to the city and food even late. But it is in the mid of construction sites, so all windows' views were constructions.

Location is excellent, close to centre and train station. Room was of good size and had all the required amenities. Despite the reviews suggesting loud construction noise outside, we heard nothing. Reception were helpful and printed documents for us that we needed

Short walk from train station. Quiet on the 4th floor (although a colleague who was on the 1st floor found it too noisy). Comfortable bed, good breakfast, good shower, everything you need for a short stay. Good value for money.

The one female receptionist who checked me in wasn‘t particularly friendly however all the other receptionists I met were. It‘s a shame, because reception is where you get your first impression about a hotel and can have a lasting impact. There‘s building work going on next to the hotel, so I imagine during the week it could be noisy. I was there Friday night and it wasn‘t noisy.
