Location is really convenient right next to the train station. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I rented a bike to explore the city and they also assisted with purchasing a train ticket since I don’t understand German! Overall I was pleased with my stay and would return again.

I was ‘upgraded’ to an accessible room but did not like how it took a while for the automatic door to close (probably only a concern for a female traveler). The shower didn’t have separation from the toilet and the water drainage was not great so it got everywhere. Nothing major, just a couple of minor things that could have been better overall and I am still satisfied!

Quirky hotel with loads of character. Staff had excellent English and very very helpful. Although we did not use it, there was a gym and sauna available. Snacks and drinks in the room fridge free of charge, nice touch. Location is excellent! Right across the street from train station and not far from the metro station connecting to the airport. The underground shopping was also on the doorstep.

The shower had transparent door directly into the hallway of the room. Fine if you are travelling with partner or spouse, but a little weird. Toilet was private.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel, thanks to its excellent location. Just a 5-minute walk from Munich Central Station and a 10-minute walk to the city center and old town, it made exploring the city incredibly easy. The hotel boasts great decor and ambiance, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Our late check-in around midnight went smoothly, although our reserved room category wasn't available. The staff quickly fixed this by offering a smaller room and compensating with a complimentary breakfast, which turned out to be delicious. The hotel's cafe is lovely, with fantastic coffee and cake, and the bar is a great place to unwind. We also appreciated the free mini-bar in the room stocked with water, cola, and beer.

The mini-bar is replenished once a day, however, this is only done upon request, which can be a bit awkward. We had to ask twice for it to be replenished on one occasion. Another minor inconvenience is that coffee machines are only available in rooms from category XL and above. It would be nice to have at least a kettle in all rooms for a more comfortable experience. Despite these small issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for its convenience.

Loved the decor, the location as it was a stones throw from the main train station, underground station, tram stops and the sightseeing tour bus starting point. The staff were super helpful - I arrived in Munich about 3 hours before check-in and heading to another hotel (closer to the event I was in the city for) and I was allowed to leave my luggage at the hotel so I could go and explore the beautiful city of Munich.

In the evening I enjoyed a delicious cheesecake in the hotel’s restaurant and reviewed the menu potentially for lunch the next day. Viewing the menu gave a clear indication of their political stance and with what is currently happening, my conscience won’t allow me to use the hotel or restaurant chain again.

This is a truly awesome hotel with a very unique decor. The rooms are great. The restaurant and the bar are also great - so great that both venues always have a crowd. The location is great as it is near the old town. It is also across the street from the Munich Hbf Rail station to where you can take the S airport train to the airport. That is not only convenient, but also, so efficient. The same cannot be said about Deutsche Bahn regional rail trains with its endless delays and missed connections because of its endless delays, but you cannot go wrong with the convenience of an airport train across the street from this hotel. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is top-notch, artsy and well located in downtown Munich.

The room was nice and spaceous but a little bit dark despite being in the top floor. It was great to have A/C in the room. The hotel overall is nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I would have loved to have more daylight throughout the day and at the same time I didn't like that there was still some light entering through the curtains in the morning before opening them. The breakfast was with 29€ quite expensive and from my point of view not appropriate for the breakfast offering, which was okay but nothing extraordinary. Furthermore, the gym was a tiny room with basically no equipment except for a treadmill. I don't think that it should be called a gym.

After years of trips to hotels all over UK and Europe I finally achieved my holy grail of finding a perfect venue. Thank you to the 25 Hours The Royal Bavarian in Munchen. A great design, vibe, ethos and character from the entrance to the rooms and all the quirky extras and back. Innovative design, nice touches (a bike in the room for exploring and loved the Swan pillow idea) and excellent value for money. How refreshing to go into a hotel room and find a note on the mini bar saying 'I'm free'.! Oh and not to forget the friendly and helpful staff too!! I missed breakfast due to an early flight but I have no doubt that would be equally good.

The only regret I had was that I didn't book into to the hotel for more than 1 night. Next time I visit Munchen I will make sure my stay is longer!!

Great location, near train station and easily walk to center of Munich and get around from there. The rooms are spacious and beds comfy. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much and the bar on site was a great vibe and delicious drinks. Would stay again and highly recommend this hotel to travelers.

The gym is not really a gym. It has one old elliptical machine and some mats for stretching. They didn't replace our coffee or take away dirty dishes in our room when they came to clean.

Wonderful & lively hotel with kind staff (especially the cafe manager). Dinner at the restaurant was INCREDIBLE, with great service there also. Spacious room (though we booked a big one). We were able to check in early which was much appreciated.

Phone in the room didn't work, so when we needed anything we had to walk downstairs. Housekeeping was slow to bring extra pillows (the 2 in the room were very flat – even with 4 it was not comfortable) but we finally got them after a few hours. It would be nice if you could order room service directly to your room instead of having to go pick it up downstairs. We had very noisy neighbors one night, but staff was quick to resolve it & fortunately they quieted down.

The royal barvarian was well designed, fun and quirky, which we loved. We had the extra large room which we really liked. We had breakfast twice, it was expensive but excellent! We also ate at NENI one evening which was also really good. For us the location by the train station was very convenient as we were travelling from Nuremberg, it was cheap and easy to reach the airport from there and we also took day trips that involved the train. Would recommend.

The gym was quite small and poorly equipped. It’s for one person at a time. This could be improved upon given other facilities at the hotel. The shower flooded two mornings during our stay, we reported it both mornings and it took a little longer to be fixed than we anticipated.
