This hotel is a terrific choice, and I'm probably going to sound overly superlative but it does deserve it, so here goes. Super room, very well soundproofed so long as you FULLY lock the windows. Extremely comfortable bed, very pleasant room aesthetically - nice to flake out in and recharge in mid-afternoon! The shower - oh, the jet! That was really appreciated. New sheets and towels everyday. Fantastic location, right in the centre. AND THE BREAKFAST - wow - not only a superb buffet which would have been enough in itself, but also a high standard, perfectly cooked menu to choose from as well. I wish we knew the name of the young woman in charge of the breakfasts as she is a delight (as was the lady on the desk). Anything else? There was only a coffee machine in the room but we asked for a kettle (English, travel with strong tea bags) and it was instantly given, with two very large mugs!

Nothing at all. We will always stay at Astikon when we visit Athens now.

The staff were outstanding, from the breakfast server to the housecleaning staff to the desk staff (immediately across the street). They were uniformly positive, responsive, and eager to address any questions or concerns. They made an outstanding location and room even better. The balcony was a lovely bonus to it all!

The refrigerator in our room did not work. However, the staff were super-helpful in providing regular buckets of ice for cold beverages both in our room and at breakfast.

The room was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. The staff were all very helpful, as always. I've been to the hotel before the renovation and was impressed with the changes. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from everything. Would definitely recommend.

The breakfast didn't have as many options as before but it was good and served in a nice space.

The room and the whole building interior was super beautiful and modern. We felt like royals residing there. We also liked our balcony a lot. The isolation was really good, so if you close the window, you don't hear any noise of the busy city life infront of the window. The location was super nice to smoothly get there by metro from the train station and also to go to the airport, but at the same time directly at the edge of the very center of the city (luckily not too crowded like the streets in the center), so it was easy to explore Athens old town or go out in just a few minutes of walking. We also liked the idea of the breakfast baskets. :) It always felt like picnic in bed.

There were some ants on the bathroom floor always showing up after the room cleaning again. The breakfast baskets were very cute and it was more than enough food for us, but after 3 days we missed some variation in the breakfast and also some cheese (there was no meet or cheese at all).

Although we were only here one night, we LOVED our stay here. The room was clean and nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the staff was so accommodating. We had just gotten off a 7 day cruise and decided to spend a day in Athens to see the sights. We arrived early so our room wasn't ready yet. The staff held our bags for us while we visited the sights. When we returned to the hotel, our room was ready with our suitcases already brought to the room. We already know that if we return to Athens, we will be staying here again. Centrally located to the sights of Athens and very close to the Syntagma Metro station

The only thing I didn't like was the curtains. I tend to like the room very dark when I sleep. The room is painted white, and with the light coming in through the windows from the hotel across the street, the room is very bright, even with all the lights off. It would've been nice to have curtains that would block out the light coming through the window at night. Not a deal breaker for me, I would stay there again

My husband and I booked a room here for our last two nights in Greece, and were a little worried based on some of the negative reviews. However, we had a great stay! The location is a few blocks away from the Syntagma metro station and we were able to walk around the Plaka neighborhood from there (you can easily walk to the Acropolis and back). I loved the super high ceilings of the room and the fact that there was a table and space for the breakfast basket; my husband said the decor looked like a place a Russian oligarch would take his mistress (lol). The breakfast basket was plentiful and good - juice, pastries, toast, butter/jams, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit (there's a Nespresso machine and kettle in the room for coffee or tea). Once we closed the windows, we couldn't hear any street noise, and the bed was so comfortable, we slept so well!

**Please note that the reception desk is in the sister hotel (The Marblous Athens) across the street, up a few steps between a bar and a restaurant. Keep in mind that the corner shower is tiny (and I'm a small person myself), but this seems to be the case of many places in European cities.

the locatin , the room clean , the breakfast all are so good the pictures are unde estimate the property , the room is much bigger , its sooo clean , it's un the center if athes, we did not need to use the pabluc transformatin at all .

its not i dud not like it , it more that it would better if it imporves . the stuff didn't have much recomndation, they tried but it i expected to be more helpful , but all if them are very kind

When in Athens always stay at Athens Diamond hotel. Excellent location, lovely rooms with everything you need. Highly recommend.

In general staff wete friendly & helpful. However one of the receptionists needs a refresher in customer service & communication skills & improve her attitude - not suitable for front desk duties. Feedback is based on two seperate interactions with her.

Beautiful and clean rooms! Breakfast was very good and had a nice rooftop but no views of the Acropolis. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was very walkable.

Because we were in the middle of the action, the room was a little noisy at night due to street noise, people out and about, etc.

Location and the room!!! Only few minutes by foot from Syntagma metro station. Ermou shopping street was just around the corner. Everything was actually near to you. The room: freshly renovated, you could still smell the fresh paint. And the bed, 110% amazing!

The mini fridge was quite warm inside... Maybe we just didn't know how to adjust the thermostate...
