I am very grateful for having stayed at Evripides for 5 days with my family as it surpassed our expectations. The recently renovated rooms on floors 4-6 were spacious, clean, modern and had comfortable mattresses, A/C, safe, hot power shower, TV and balcony. It was cleaned daily. The restaurant where breakfast is served is amazing, located on the 7th floor with views of the Acropolis and the surrounding neighbourhood. Excellent Greek and Continental breakfast. It also opens for dinner as a bar and offering light bites (pizza, sandwiches). I also made use of the decent fitness room in the basement floor where there were two good treadmills. The location is on the edge of tourist areas and a short walk to Monastiraki square with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants within 5-10 minute walk - excellent restaurant Karamanlidika two blocks away. It looks like an area in transformation (gentrification?) as many old buildings are being renovated for hotels and apartments. The cherry on the cake was the staff, always extremely friendly. Special thanks to the couple running the breakfast and Sara at the reception. We would surely stay again!
Nothing bad to note

The hotel was very central and only a short walk to the main area. It was quite basic however it was clean and excellent value for money. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. There was a view of the acropolis from both our room and balcony and the breakfast room. I actually couldn’t fault this hotel for value for money.
When we arrived the area looked a little run down, but actually it wasn’t and was only a very short walk away from the centre. The room smelled slightly of cigarette smoke when we arrived, but this was sorted very quickly and we were offered another room, we chose not to take it but whilst we were out the room was thoroughly aired and we couldn’t smell it when we got back.

Very clean room. Comfortal bed with extra pillows available in closet and duvet cover used (instead of a sheet under a duvet). 24 hour receptionist. Excellent location, very close to Monastiraki square (7 min walk). Free luggage storage in an unlocked area. Several paid lockers available for 2 euros (no time limit). Also paid luggage weight available (I did not use). The best part, amazing top floor breakfast area with floor to ceiling glass window. A good spread of breakfast items, including boiled eggs, bread slices, cheese pastries, cereals, juices from a machine, decent coffee, yummy Greek yogurt, oranges, ham slices, cheese slices and fresh Greek salad ingredients (cucumber, tomato, olives, feta cheese). A lovely breakfast buffet to start one's day.
Our room by the elevators can be noisy despite the owner posted a sign asking people to be quiet when waiting for the elevator. We had the misfortune to be woken up when a group of family was leaving around 7:30 am. We thought there were kids racing in the hallway, judging by the sound... Not the owner's fault. The room was quiet again for a few hours until house keeping started cleaning around check out time (12pm). Overall, a wonderful accomodation to stay. Just ask for a room at the end of the hallway, instead of in the middle (by the elevator) if you are sensitive to sound and like to sleep in on your holiday.

Everything it was a great place for the value. We stayed there for 3 nights. I have stayed in 3 star hotels, this one was so much better. The room was very clean and comfortable. The receptionist the one with black curly hair was the best of all. She spoiled us I really like her. The shower was great! Our room had a small balcony with a very good view. Also, the rooftop and the restaurant had an amazing view. The breakfast was very good for the price and you can eat quite well. The desserts wet the best! Also, in general the personnel from the restaurant, the bar and front desk were awesome. We had to catch a ferry very early in the morning and they prepared us a much to go to the port, which I did not expected that was super nice on them. I really like the place you receive quite a lot for the money place. You are 5 or 6 minutes away from the downtown. The room is as described in the photo. We are definitely coming back.
Just be aware that you have to walk around 9 minutes from the metro station but nothing that you can’t do… for me was not much time to be honest. Also, that I couldn’t book for one more night for the weekend because it was fully booked haha I guess many people agree with me the place is quite good.

All aff are very helpful and they dealt with requests to my satisfaction. Buffet breakfast is lovely, with fabulous views from the room in the 7th floor. Climb the stairs to the rooftop terrace on the 8th floor and enjoy amazing views in the open air. Central location is very convenient for accessing the hugh number of amazing attractions nearby. A lovely clean hotel!
This is a busy, bustling, noisy, central Athens location. If you're a very light sleeper like me and unaccustomed to big cities, I recommend avoiding rooms on lower floors and rooms close to the corner of the street.

We had a really nice three night stay here for a long weekend in Athens. The staff are very warm and friendly, and happy for a chat. The free breakfast was simple but delicious, you don’t need much more than some bread and salads and yoghurt, and it kept us full for a day of wandering Athens. And we loved the rooftop with a view of the Acropolis! The location is a bit rough around the edges but we felt safe walking at night and it’s very close to a lot of good bars and restaurants. Our room was very simple and no frills, but it’s very affordable and everything else the hotel has to offer makes such value for money.

Absolutely everything!! Especially the Magnificent Sara from reception, and the staff at the Rooftop bar. As you may know, this wasn’t our first stay at the Evripides Hotel & it keeps getting better each time we visit! The rooms are HUGE, clean, filled with vibrant colors, and the beautiful views from the balcony. I have to address and give additional praise to the lovely Sara. She really went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Furthermore, My girlfriend at the time of the stay was feeling quite ill, and we were met with the highest level of care and hospitality as possible. We will definitely be back to visit, Thank you so much for everything! See you soon ;)
Nothing. Everything was PERFECT!

This is a simple yet well-located hotel, within walking distance of Athens' main attractions. While the surrounding streets aren’t the prettiest, with some aged shops and a slightly untidy area, we never felt unsafe. The neighborhood is lively, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a vibrant social and tourist scene. The hotel is also conveniently close to several metro stations. We were allowed to check in a bit earlier than the usual time, and there’s a storage room for those who need to leave their luggage. The breakfast is excellent, offering a delicious buffet with something for everyone. It’s served on the 7th floor, where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Acropolis and the city. There’s also a common terrace area with chairs for sunbathing and admiring the view. Our room faced the street, offering a charming view of some picturesque, older buildings.
The bathroom, especially the shower, is incredibly small, making the experience quite uncomfortable. The shower curtain is always very close to the body, which can feel cramped and awkward.

This is a lovely clean and friendly hotel. The view from the restaurant/bar and the rooftop is amazing. The room was basic but very clean with a fridge. Missing was tea and coffee facilities. I would suggest they had a vending machine in the foyer so residents could get a hot drink from that when the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was good with a good selection of continental breakfast. The staff were so lovely and friendly we came for a family member, who is Greek, wedding and the staff were so interested in hearing all about it. The outside was a lot to be desired, with graphity on the walls, like a lot of Athens streets. But felt safe walking to the centre of Athens, which is only a short walk away. I would certainly recommend this hotel for the price.
There is no tea and coffee facility when the restaurant closed.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were great at ordering Uber and pointing out restaurants etc. The breakfast was lovely and always fresh and well presented - once again the breakfast staff were lovely. The view from my room and the breakfast area was amazing - the acropolis! I have no complaints or issues whatsoever. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and I would definitely stay there again. The location was just around the corner from the square with gelato, a bakery and several great restaurants. A short walk to the city shops and many touristy locations. The added bonus of a balcony was very much appreciated - a great spot to sit and also get a little washing dry.
