The place where the property is located.

The check out is too early (11:00 am). The municipal parking we had left our car was 3’-4’ walking distance from the hotel and we had to go back and forth many times to get our luggage. At 11:05 there was a telephone from the reception to leave immediately the room. I think after one week stay at the hotel and while we were already moving our luggage to the car, there was no reason for such a call (it was a little rude).

Very nice hotel. Great location. Very nice patio lounge

Noisy bars downstairs. Having to park far away. A massage was recommended and I don't think it was very useful, lymphatic massage, should have gone with the standard massage for all my tightness.

This is a great hotel right on the very best spot in one of the top-3 towns in Crete. We are an American couple in our 60s traveling in Crete via rental car for a month and we booked 3 nights here and ended up staying a week. I got to know the entire staff because they were so amazing and caring - the owner, his family, manager, the wonderful breakfast chef and the amazing young lady who is a student and runs the breakfast service every morning. Anyway, they are incredibly nice and hard-working, and the hotel rooms are fantastic. This hotel is new and very nice. That makes a big difference. The views from the bar, rooftop deck and rooms facing the sea are spectacular - literally 20 feet from the water overlooking the entire harbor and views across the famous Gulf. The breakfast is amazing, and the chef turns out different vegetable dishes, pastries, omelets and salads every morning. It is rare for us to stay in the heart of old towns because we have a rental car and we usually stay at larger hotels on the edge of the old towns so we can park and drive in and out of town as a base, but here the parking is free and easy because the hotel has an agreement with the port parking lot 50 meters away. We parked there free and easy every late afternoon for a week as we returned to the hotel in our car from touring around the Lashiti mountains and the many incredible villages, mountain and coastal drives, monasteries and amazing archeological sites. It is a spectacular part of Crete and all easily accessible from this hotel as a base. In fact, the manager, who is from Agios Nikolaus and knows every inch of the Lasithi Province, gave us great touring advice on scenic drives and where to go, which is why we based there a week. To top it off, we tried 6 of the restaurants she and the owner recommended - all fantastic because Agios Nikolaus has great restaurants. The internet is very fast - about 100 Mbps and the new smart TVs have Netflix and Amazon Prime. Fantastic!

There was nothing not to like. This hotel is great and everything around it is too.

Perfect location, parking next to hotel, fantastic sea view, very clean, modern hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was a bit noisy from the night bar next door, but not too bad.

Casa Porto is a modern, renovated hotel close to restaurants, activities and wonderful beaches. Adorable and very helpful staff. The breakfast has many different options (they served new things to try every other day) and was always tasty. The hotel has a nice terrace with swings and couches to lounge in.

The bar "Baja Mar" just outside the hotel plays loud party music every night until 03.00 AM. Although the balcony and windows are well isolated, earplugs is a must if you are a light sleeper wanting to get som sleep.

We were in queen room (big with jacuzzi) and a standard room. Both were great and very clean, cosy bed. The breakfast is ok (average). The receptionist Angela was friendly and had good recommendations for dinner. On the 3rd floor is a great terrace. I would recommend the hotel for a 2-3 days stay.

actually the only minus at this property is a next door Bajabar with loud music on some nights (till 3 a.m.)- you can hear the music if your room is turned to Baja bar.

The Casa Porto is likely one of the nicest and most modern Boutique Hotels in Agios Nikolaos. Perfect location right at the small harbor and old town, so you can easily reach everything by foot in a short time. The entire staff was always extremely friendly and helpful. The terrace with the bar is such a nice place to relax, to enjoy excellent cocktails or to attend one of the yoga sessions. Our comfortable room had all we wanted and of course we enjoyed our small whirlpool on the balcony a few times. We also didn't miss anything at the breakfast buffet (except good coffee) and it was quite nice to sit outside right next to the harbor. There is also a public and free parking area close by, where we usually found a free place (or just waited a few minutes). Definitely a recommendation and we may come back one time.

First, one should be aware, that the music of the sorrounding locations can be really loud at the weekends (Fri to Sun). They have great sound dampening windows installed, but depending on the room don't expect a very quiet environment. Second, I have to confirm other reviews here, that the coffee from the Nescafe machine cannot be called coffee. Every simple hotel in Europe has meanwhile a good or very good machine, that serves great coffee. One must pay for coffee from the "real" machine, what we did, But this is simply not acceptable for the price & quality level of this otherwise great hotel. Please guys, get a real automatic coffee machine or at least just serve good filter coffee!

Location. Decor and design with good finish.. Spacious bathroom with good water pressure

Window looks onto pathway. No balcony. Room sold as having "sea view" but only if you hang out the window and even then you only get glimps

Sea view room was fantastic, and the location is pretty unbeatable too! We booked last min so got a real bargain. Room was lovely and spacious, bed was on the hard side but it did say they have a mattress menu if you want softer we were only 1 night so didn't ask. But the view and location really were everying!

Would have been 10/10 but sadly the bar closed in the afternoon due to strong wind. Was dissapointing to not be be able to have a drink at all, even in our room, the facilities were closed and the cocktails looked so good! Breakfast was a limited buffet and the eating area was very small and got busy very quickly.

Staff were excellent, friendly and always welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very special. Location was great and the atmosphere was intimate, relaxed and just what we needed after a few days in the Capital. All staff were helpful in giving good suggestions for restaurants, beaches and other useful tips. Our experience was more than we could have expected and exceeded our hopes and price was reasonable given the location and lovely interior and service. We would certainly use again in a heartbeat and it was genuinely a wonderful place to be and a real drag to leave at the end of the holiday. Special thanks to go to all the staff in all departments for making it a special stay. Highly and genuinely recommended.

Nothing we didnt like as all was perfect for us and in fact a better experience than a 5 star hotel we stayed at in Heraklion earlier in the week.
