Great location near the cemetery, church, and market. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms are spacious and they will light a fire in the fireplace for you. Good breakfast options and beautiful property with lots of greenery.

My room was located by the street, so it was a bit noisy and hard to sleep. The hotel was very accommodating and moved me to a quieter room!

This is a beautiful old place in many respects. The antique furnishings are lovely, and the charming grounds are full of flowering trees. The room was very large and clean, with a tiled floor and immense windows. The bed was comfortable and extra blankets were available for chilly nights. The shower was good. The restaurant, in a building across the street, served a nice breakfast. The hotel's location right next the the market is excellent.

The toilet was dysfunctional. The hotel was understaffed and the few employees spoke only Spanish. Despite recurring rain in the area, the hotel is not ready for it: the large windows were so old that water poured in during a rainstorm and flooded the room. Dinner options were limited and service was uneven.

Room looks like you have gone back in time in a good way. Lovely courtyard and buildings. There is another building across the road with more accommodation and gardens. Used to be an old monastery. Calm vibes. Make sure you check where the parking is if you are driving before you get there as it is a bit confusing and there are many narrow streets / one way streets.

Hotel restaurant only open at limited times. The afternoon cocktail we ordered was really not good and the only snack available was some.peanuts. Went elsewhere for dinner as did not quite trust what we might get. Included breakfast was average. Waiter was quite pushy about his tip. He brought back our change but did not want to hand it over even though we had already left a tip. Was a bit awkward.

It is a real treat to stay in this hotel. The rooms are beautifully firnished with old authentic pieces, the garden as well.nice trees, domestic parrots, old benches;A fire light is made for you on your room on simple request;A real pleasure. You fill like going back in old times, there is really an atmosphere in this museum like hotel. The situation is just perfect,3 minutes to the market. We enjoyed much staying in this town a day before the big market, hardly any tourist,a small market worth seeing ,,only local people and a lot of quietness, much different from big market day

Dinner could have been a bit more elaborate,in accordance with the nice surroundings. We had better value in town

The Hotel is like a museum with old furnitures and hasienda look. We had fireplace lit in our room. If you want an extended Chichi stay, then is very good place to stay. Marked with fewer turist is a nice experience.

Breakfeast was nice, but dinner a bit plain - better options in town. Reception was friendly to arrange shuttle back to Antigua as it was not marked day, then transport price is a bit higher, but that is how it is outside the main turist pack. No heating in room, but fireplace compensated for that and was a fun experience.

The hotel is huge and it seemed we were completely alone. The staff is amazing and super accommodating. There is a parking lot across the street which they will guide you to. The room was huge, with a comfy bed and a fire place which the staff will lit for you. We came here after a night sleeping in a tent in the jungle of Lachua so this was a nice chance to luxury. The shower has unlimited hot water which was heaven. Breakfast is simple but good. We had dinner as well which was tasty. The hotel is in the centre of the city so everything is accessible on foot.

Nothing, we had a wonderful stay.

I LOVED this hotel. it was like stepping back in time to when it was built in the 1930s - it seemed to have hardly changed since then. it was beautifully furnished with antiques and there was even a bell to call someone to light the fire in your bedroom. it was a great experience, especially compared to the very basic accommodation we’d had everywhere else in Guatemala.

The bar closed at 9pm (but we got the fire lit in our room and sat drinking our own whisky so it didn’t matter).

pretty much everything. loved the fireplaces. loved the other guests we met. Loved the views. and we found the staff to be exceptional - I really loved the whole vintage vibe. This hotel is really a very special special place.

no wifi in the rooms. plus they should have put water jugs in the room and I would have liked the bar to be open longer hours.

The place is really amazing. Feels like in the castle. The chimney is in each room, the furniture is beautiful. I enjoyed it so much. Breakfast is good. Stuff kind and helpfull. Location in the centre. There is market on Thursdays and Sundays, worth it. We had warm water and the sheets on the beds are good, we were not cold at all.

The only negative is the parrots shown as in zoo in the garden. Are they capable of flight or the wings are cut?

We liked everything. The staff: you will never find nicer people. The hotel is a historic building that opened as a hotel in 1832. Before that it was a monastery. It, and its history, have been beautifully preserved. Thankfully, no attention is paid to current trends in decor. The hotel does have perfectly adequate plumbing. The bathroom was very large. The gardens are outstanding. Breakfast is included. Be sure to order the "desayuno tipica." Eggs, black beams, platanos, cream, fresh fruit, great coffee. It was delicious andwill keep you full all morning for shopping in the towns famous market. The hotel is right next to the market.. Also loved the huge stone fireplace in the room. Just push an old fashioned door bell in the roomand a friendly guy comes and lights it. Wait until you see the beautiful old furnishings in your room and throughout the complex.

We had no complaints at all. But folks who must have a "Comfort inn" type of place, who need a high pressure shower with very hot water (the water was very comfortably warm) should probably stay away. The bed was only a full bed but had a lovely comforter. We slept comfortably.. There were also a couple extra wool blankets in the antique wardrobe.
