- The place is beautiful and had good vibes - the bed was the most comfortable that we had in Gutemala - the shower is great (although it's not private, and its an open shower so it can be super cold in the evening and early morning) - The yoga classes were professional

- The way to the hotel is THE WORST! It's uphill where cars can't reach so you need to take a tuktuk but even after that there is a 10 minuets walk of stairs and rocks. We didnt know that and we had to carry our suitcases on our backs. - THE TOILETS ARE NOT PRIVATE, and also they are dry toilets. They smell really bad and sometimes we could smell it from our balcony. - the private room is beatiful but it's not completely sealed, which means you share your room with ants and spiders. One of our suitcases was full of ants so make sure you close everything while being there.

The location is amazing, enjoying a picturesque view from every point of the premises! Big clean bedrooms, with excellent comfy beds! Very good food, big enough portions and very friendly kitchen stuff. Sauna and the events included in the accomodation are a big plus, alongside with meeting people in the common areas, making the stay an overall very enjoyable experience, despite the rather expensive price.

The yoga classes included in the package was of very low quality. Definetely should reconsider the adequacy of the yoga instructors, the variety of the offered classes and the time schedule. The water for shower was neither warm or with enough jet, but guess this is a problem of the whole area.

The people. The food is sublime. The staff are excellent. The yoga teacher Christy is amazing. I have met life long friends here. I cannot say enough about this place. This place picked me up and held me from the moment I arrived till the moment I left. It was extremely hard to leave but I know I will be back.

I would prefer a substance free community. But there is plenty of opportunity for you to take your own space should you feel uncomfortable by any recreational substance usage (alcohol, tobacco, marijuana). It is by no means an overwhelming presence, at least not during my stay. It was very easy to not even notice these substances.

I was a little underwhelmed when I first checked in into my room but as I went on to do sunset yoga on the platform with that insane view and then walked into an outdoor shower overlooking the volcanos and the lake - I quickly understood why people stay here. All the meals were really tasty and the fact that all the activities like the Temazcal (sauna) and the new moon festival were included - made it worth the cost for sure!

I think they could have done a better job at 2 things: 1) better and friendlier checkin process, e.g. showing the rest of the facilities, mentioning dining schedules etc. and 2) the room could have been cleaner, e.g. it was pretty dusty behind my bed and the sofa mattress on the balcony. Also WIFI wasn't strong enough in my room but worked well in the common areas. Apart from that the experience was pretty incredible!

the food and the views are absolutely amazing! I enjoyed my stay, it’s a cool place. it’s a hub where all sorts of activities take place that you can join for free. That for me was the great part

The personnel aren’t the friendliest. The manager was gone and the people that took over weren’t really interested in showing or telling me how the place ‘works’. The eco toilets take a long time to get used to, for me this was the worst part. it’s like taking a pee/dump on an open sewage. And teh place go do with a good clean up. And take your earplugs because the dogs of the village below bark all night!

To be honest, pretty much everything! The kitchen team is amazing, they are so friendly and welcoming and their food was always super tasty. The rest of the staff also, always super friendly and helpful and smiling. Obviously the platform is stunning and the Yoga practice and other courses as well. Special thanks Roxanna and Paulina. Definetly check out the outdoor shower. Eagle's Nest felt like home, I extended my stay and literally cried the day I finally left. Many other guests also extended their stay here.

The view was stunning. So stunning that the rest of this review may be irrelevant. They yoga instruction was very good and the staff were friendly.

Ongoing noise from construction. No water pressure when showering. No blackout curtains so you will wake up with the first sun. Difficult to get there if you have heavy suitcases, you may want to pay for a porter.

The kitchen staff and the food was absolutely incredible. The yoga platform cannot be beat - truly a unique and epic place to practice or to simply take a look.

The events at Eagle's Nest vary widely - not all will be for everyone so it's great to go in with an open mind knowing some may be wonderful and some may not be your thing.

Great dance floor and view. Most rooms are very nice. Lovely staff. Good events.

First couple nights I was in a room right below restaurant. People talking kept me up most of the night. People dropped their shoes on my head when I left the room. I moved to one of the lowest rooms where I had a way better view and peace and quiet and could sleep

it’s the most different place you will visit. it’s very special beautiful location and views and the food is really good.

it was difficult to find and there were not enough details or welcoming to the hotel. it has a lot of classes events / the food system, it’s all a bit confusing coming in.
