The hotel is great, rooms are big, breakfest is awesome. there is a gym and a spa for the guests.

There are certain aspects of the service that are odd.. We arrived early and the room wasn't ready, but we were offered to uogrsde to a more expensive room that was available. we were promised to get a text once the room is ready, we never did. Upon checkout, we asked for a late checkout, we were told it's possible but also for an extra charge... I feel that an expensive hotel of this magnitude should not try to optimize charging guests for minor service things like these, especially since the hotel was half empty due to the season.

Extremely comfortable, large & generously appointed rooms. The beds are sumptuous and make for a great nights sleep. The atrium area is relaxing and great for people watching. Staff are efficient & friendly.

The location isn’t great with a 25 minute walk to the main attractions on the river. The main attraction is the NYC cafe and it sometimes seems that the hotel is an afterthought - pushing through the queues to enter & leave the hotel was wearisome. The residents bar could do with an update / refresh and perhaps friendlier / more attentive service.

One of the most memorable hotel experiences I have ever had. Each space is just breathtaking and exceptional, from the lobby to the rooms and the spa, not to mention the unique New York Cafe. The staff were remarkable and very kind, going as far as swiftly shipping me a coat I left behind into another country. The breakfast was nothing short of magical – the selection itself was stunning, but we were also enjoying it in what is arguably one of the world's most gorgeous cafes. The gym and the spa were also perfect, calm spaces with everything you could possibly need. I would not miss this opportunity when in Budapest. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous hotel with great ambience. Lovely big atrium with lots of chilling out space, fabulous breakfast/dining area, food was amazing - huge variety for breakfast and great quality, lovely evening meal with high quality ingredients. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely wellness area - had a great massage. Very close to the tube - great public transport system for getting about.

The fittings in the bathroom let it down - they were loose and not good quality, you needed a big ugly step to get into the bath/shower, there was no way to turn on the shower without getting either freezing cold or scalding hot water on you as you couldn't reach the tap without being under it, the balcony was a little dirty and tired looking, and could have done with some pot plants and greenery to make it more attractive.

Breakfast in the historical coffee was great. Food as well was really high level and service was really careful. The building is fabulous. I like the SPA and the relaxing environment.

Our room had severe issues which you do not expect to find for such an hotel. In the toilet the mirror had a sort of fake metal bar stick with adesive tape and it was falling off, the bidet was detaching from the wall and there was fracture along the wall, the noise of the air circulation was far above standard noise levels, at last there was a sensor for movement that was supposed to turn on the light of the toilet when moving but it was malfunctioning and it was turning on and off continously all the night making a terrible noise of the light relay, we were waking up all the night, when told to the reception they did not fix it and neither excused with any discount... quite disappointing for this level of hotel.

Could the highlight of a trip be the hotel? If you’re staying at the Anantara New York Palace, the answer is an absolute yes! My wife and I referred to the hotel as the “museum” for the duration of our stay (and still do) because of the mind-blowing interior and exterior architecture. Our stay was beyond amazing with excellent staff, automatic house-keeping multiple times a day, prompt laundry service, and rooms that were so very comfortable to stay in. We opted for the daily breakfast and boy am I glad we did! The morning feast was incredible with all sorts of hot and cold food options, drinks and desserts. The waiters and staff members were extremely courteous and will go out of their way to ensure that you have fully enjoyed your breakfast and stay. Lastly, their spa and additional features (massage rooms, therapeutics, etc) are enough to keep you busy for at least a day. I rarely give a 10 but this stay sincerely deserves it. I know where we will be staying any time we visit Budapest again! (10/10)

Gorgeous room, beautifully decorated. Spacious bathroom. Breakfast was great and to be in the stunning surroundings of the New York Café was a real treat. Staff were lovely - polite and friendly - and despite the hotel being quite busy, some even remembered who we were! I felt pampered and extremely comfortable there and would definitely go back.

Slight issue with our luggage when we arrived, but it was nothing to get excited about! The location is a little bit out from the main tourist sites but that wouldn't put me off staying there again, mainly because there's a metro station two minutes walk from the hotel and the public transport system in Budapest works very efficiently.

Incredible service, the staff were exceptional. The room was amazing and the hotel itself is impressive. Well worth it. We would definitely return.

Not much really! The New York cafe is a little over rated, the service was poor in there but the hotel reception offered for us to sit in the guest area and have the same menu as we would receive better service and we decided to have the full experience and sit in the New York cafe but she was right! So it’s not really a negative. I would take their advice the next time.
