Nice hotel with cute rooms, a great swimming pool, friendly and helpful staff and a great cafe with delicious breakfast--they even brought the breakfast to our room! We also appreciated the welcome fruitplate they provided and that the bathroom had conditioner! As a hotel, you can't go wrong! (and they have an attached diveshop which I imagine if we had stayed longer we would've taken advantage of).

We appreciated walking along the beachfront in Sanur which wasn't too far to get to from the hotel. At the same time, I think staying along the beachfront would be a nicer experience than staying at a hotel on the road (which is where most of the hotels are including Akaya). So, the only downside is that the location is good but not great

Nice and clean with amazing staff. Its located in the main street walking distance to everything you need including the beach. The room was well kept and very clean. Highly recommend. Just to note, we checked out at 12pm and our flight was at 11pm, the staff allowed us to hang out at the pool, and even had a communal shower and toilet (very clean) that we could shower and wash up before leaving for the airport. Could not tell you how well looked after we were there.

The place was undoubtedly clean and newish. Staff were friendly. They allowed us 30 minutes late check out.

I felt the rooms and bathroom were too small for the price we paid. The sink was too big, leaving no space to keep toiletries on the benchtop. There was a shelf below the sink, but it was too cumbersome to bend each time you wanted to get your stuff. The kettle and coffee area was so tiny. I also wish hotels in Bali would change their plug points to allow universal charging facilities, considering Bali is a favourite tourist destination for people all around the globe.

Really nice and comfort vibes in the room, and loved that they provided fruits platter to welcome the guests. The hotel is located at walkable distance to the Sanur Beach, and you'll have access to many cafes, family marts, and beach bars around the area. If you're in the area to dive, Akaya offers diving packages as well so that would be pretty convenient. Oh their breakfast selection was pretty good too.

Do expect most of the restaurants to be a foreign establishment (western cuisines), however the Sanur Night Market is rather close by for some sedap local cuisine (~20mins by foot).

This is a beautiful little haven in Sanur, with a score or so beautifully designed rooms around a gorgeous little - deep - pool. Everything was thoughtfully designed, to the plants on each balcony which were both lovely to look at, and a green screen to the next room. The staff were absolutely lovely. Breakfast is at the adjacent cafe property, and it was excellent

The Anaya is attached to a dive centre, and three times in the afternoon over the six days I was there, the pool was out of action due to dive training. There was no notice for when this was going to happen, and it nor was it flagged up at check in. We were not told per se we could not get in the pool, but the reality is, when five or six people are dive training in a small pool, you are not going to be able to swim lengths, and you would also feel you were disturbing the lesson. I imagine that as the season gets busier, the number of dive training sessions in the pool will increase.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Sanur with easy access to the beach via a short walk. Great cafe out the front and the breakfast was very good. Rooms are a very nice design and comfortable with a great bathroom. Staff were super nice, fun and helpful. Nice upstairs open air lounge area and also air conditioned reception area on arrival.

The location is good, 10 min walk to the beach, shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet nights and nice Akaya Cafe for breakfast. Complimentary water bottles (with refill option).

Cleaning could have been better: the room floor was not very clean and there was dust under the beds. Also some of the towels were grey and worn. Saw also some bed bugs.

Excellent location, friendly staff and older type of tourist. The hotel is about 300 metres from the be@ch and about 700 metres from the new mall.

The traffic is congested around the new mall.

Good location on the main shopping/cafe street of Sanur just running parallel behind the beach. 30 mins walk in each direction covers most of the main shops and restaurants, and the alley to the beach is almost opposite so just 5 mins max to the seaside strip. Even though the road is busy a lot of the time Akaya felt quite calm and peaceful. Staff are really very nice and helpful, and the place was kept spotless, I have never seen anywhere sweep the floors as often! The pool was a nice size and enough sunbeds around and there was another area upstairs where you could lounge and have breakfast served if you liked. The Akaya cafe was excellent, I think it probably is one of the best cafes around and so we ate breakfast here most mornings. There was tea/coffee in the rooms and while the cafe was open (until 7 I think) you could order food and drinks and have them in the pool area or your room etc. The rooms were a little run down but good facilities, nice big shower and cupboard and good aircon. The balcony areas are a nice cute place to sit.

We would stay again, but a couple of things to note - The pool is used by the scuba dive school for their pool-based lessons sometimes - if that is a few people that does make the pool difficult to use for a while. It is also a very nice area but not very private as the other end (not shown in the photos) is the dive shop/reception which is glass fronted and then more glass to the cafe and street, wouldn't stop us staying again though. It would be nice to have more privacy in the rooms/balconies, but as the rooms/balconies face either the pool-side area or (upstairs) an open walkway there might always be someone walking past and so often kept the door and curtains closed.

everything! it is such a quaint little place, friendliest of staff, extra clean, comfy bed and pillows, cold ac, hot shower with nice pressure. excellent breakfast and great location to good restaurants, gym, coffee shops
