I had a wonderful stay at Gustav Bali Homestay! The room was cozy and charming, perfectly designed to feel both intimate and relaxing. It was spotlessly clean and pleasantly cool, creating a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and consistently hot water. One of the highlights of my stay was the discount massage offered—a perfect way to unwind. The location is fantastic, close to the city center, making it easy to explore local attractions. It was also easy to find the homestay, and the owner were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. I highly recommend Gustav Bali Homestay for anyone looking for a cozy, clean, and relaxing place to stay in Bali. I can’t wait to visit again!

However, the only downside was the small stairs leading to the rooms. They were a bit narrow, especially when carrying luggage. That said, it didn’t overshadow the many positives of the stay. I would still recommend Gustav Bali Homestay for its excellent amenities and wonderful atmosphere, but just be mindful of the stairs!

I think it was a very good catch. The location is perfect. It’s walkable to the beach and you are in a very good area of Sanur. The place is very simple but I was really enjoying it. The AC, the water pressure and temperature, the cleaning were great. You need to put a sign on your door if you want your room cleaned. The bed was comfortable. My husband who is 196 cm long was happy with it. The room was small but you can see how they did everything possible to make it comfortable. We even had a charger station in our room. The staff was very nice, helpful and welcoming. I got great massages from Ketut in the evening. We would prolongate our stay if we would be lucky with the waves at the moment.

Great place for early / late check-in in the centre of Sanur / Tamblingan Road. Helpful and friendly staff. Small-ish rooms but with everything I needed – hot shower, wi-fi, aircon, safe – and a really nice balcony area with a kitchen and fridge. Will stay here again. Ketut is a terrific host.

Would prefer a sheet to a doona on the bed. Have to crank the aircon to sleep under a doona and that doesn't help with acclimatising to tropical heat and humidity. Just a sheet, please! (Yes I'll ask beforehand next time)

The location of the property is great because it’s within walking distance of shops, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants etc. The rooms were clean, tidy & the air conditioning was already turned on for our arrival. The staff were all friendly, happy & helpful. Upstairs outside the rooms is a fully equipped open kitchen & so you can cook your own meals, if you prefer to do this. The entry to the property is via a short laneway up the side of a beauty salon, which offers massages, hair salon, pedicures/manicures - you have to pay for these services. This salon is owned by the same woman who owns/manages the property. There is not a formal reception/lobby & you need to enter the salon to let the staff know that you’ve arrived. The bed & pillows were comfortable & the shower pressure was great. There is a small security safe in each room for your valuables. Our flight home was at 11pm & the staff allowed us to leave our luggage in a secure room all day & free-of-charge.

The rooms are upstairs & the stairs are narrow which made it difficult for me to carry my luggage whilst walking upstairs/downstairs (I have bad knees). The decor on the rooms is a bit outdated & old.

Location is great 30 second walk to the main road, easy to walk everywhere yet it’s quiet to sleep. Hot shower, a safe for your belongings, the bed was so comfortable and clean. The place is clean and tidy, the people were friendly. There is a card laundry on site, for 26k you can do a big load of laundry wash and dry no weight limits.

Nothing, it was perfect for me - if you’re a couple you might find it a little small.

Gustav Home Stay is easily one of my favorites! it's an easy 10/10 as it ticks every box Very very clean, great facilities, fast wifi, great hot shower, comfy bed and pillows!! there are two things that stand out. the staff and the outdoor area Ita and the whole team are so so friendly and always smiling! they're really lovely and I extended my stay several times! There is an excellent outdoors / indoors space complete with two hobs to cook on. not everyone wants to eat out 3 times a day so I loved it. well stocked kitchen, places to sit, cool decor and lightning, unusual and definitely a highlight! to sum it up, value for money it's unbeatable and I'll be returning soon I hope!

The location and it's quite calm during the night. The toilet was super clean and the shower had hot water. I would sleep there again. Just 15 min. Walking from the market

Really comfortable bed, well working shower and lovely host who was accommodating with our late check in and gave us a great restaurant recommendation that was still open late.

There is a steep staircase up to the room and we had big bags, which wasn't super practical, but the host helped us to carry the luggage upstairs.

It was a surprise to find this place hidden in the laneway. We were impressed with the room, it was clean and comfortable with the added bonus of having a shared kitchen and lounge room on the balcony. It'd be perfect for a family group. Great location in central Sanur, nextdoor to the supermarket. I would stay here again.

The homestay was great. The rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed + had a good standard. The shower was hot and the water pressure high. Outside was a well-equipped kitchen including fridge and lots of sofas. The homestay is centrally located, within easy reach of everything.
