I think it was a very good catch. The location is perfect. It’s walkable to the beach and you are in a very good area of Sanur. The place is very simple but I was really enjoying it. The AC, the water pressure and temperature, the cleaning were great. You need to put a sign on your door if you want your room cleaned. The bed was comfortable. My husband who is 196 cm long was happy with it. The room was small but you can see how they did everything possible to make it comfortable. We even had a charger station in our room. The staff was very nice, helpful and welcoming. I got great massages from Ketut in the evening. We would prolongate our stay if we would be lucky with the waves at the moment.

Great place for early / late check-in in the centre of Sanur / Tamblingan Road. Helpful and friendly staff. Small-ish rooms but with everything I needed – hot shower, wi-fi, aircon, safe – and a really nice balcony area with a kitchen and fridge. Will stay here again. Ketut is a terrific host.

Would prefer a sheet to a doona on the bed. Have to crank the aircon to sleep under a doona and that doesn't help with acclimatising to tropical heat and humidity. Just a sheet, please! (Yes I'll ask beforehand next time)

The location of the property is great because it’s within walking distance of shops, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants etc. The rooms were clean, tidy & the air conditioning was already turned on for our arrival. The staff were all friendly, happy & helpful. Upstairs outside the rooms is a fully equipped open kitchen & so you can cook your own meals, if you prefer to do this. The entry to the property is via a short laneway up the side of a beauty salon, which offers massages, hair salon, pedicures/manicures - you have to pay for these services. This salon is owned by the same woman who owns/manages the property. There is not a formal reception/lobby & you need to enter the salon to let the staff know that you’ve arrived. The bed & pillows were comfortable & the shower pressure was great. There is a small security safe in each room for your valuables. Our flight home was at 11pm & the staff allowed us to leave our luggage in a secure room all day & free-of-charge.

The rooms are upstairs & the stairs are narrow which made it difficult for me to carry my luggage whilst walking upstairs/downstairs (I have bad knees). The decor on the rooms is a bit outdated & old.

Gustav Home Stay is easily one of my favorites! it's an easy 10/10 as it ticks every box Very very clean, great facilities, fast wifi, great hot shower, comfy bed and pillows!! there are two things that stand out. the staff and the outdoor area Ita and the whole team are so so friendly and always smiling! they're really lovely and I extended my stay several times! There is an excellent outdoors / indoors space complete with two hobs to cook on. not everyone wants to eat out 3 times a day so I loved it. well stocked kitchen, places to sit, cool decor and lightning, unusual and definitely a highlight! to sum it up, value for money it's unbeatable and I'll be returning soon I hope!

The location and it's quite calm during the night. The toilet was super clean and the shower had hot water. I would sleep there again. Just 15 min. Walking from the market

Everything was fine

Its tiny rooms with a bit space around bed and wardrobe. Good cooling AC, shampoo and soap in bathroom, hot shower, clothes dryer. Wifi was okey. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Bed was comfortable for me. In common area some sits to chill and you can find kettle and cups, you can heat water for yourself. For one-two nights is okay.

Small ants in the room, doesn't bother much.

Great location, walking distance to everything in Sanur and only 7 mins to the beach. It’s a safe area just off the main road so it’s easy to stay if you’re solo - there is always someone there to greet you and help if you need anything. They’re very friendly. There is also a fridge and cooktop of you want to use it.

Nothing it was great.

The homestay was great. The rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed + had a good standard. The shower was hot and the water pressure high. Outside was a well-equipped kitchen including fridge and lots of sofas. The homestay is centrally located, within easy reach of everything.

What a nice little plce to stay in Sanur! Staff were very friendly and even tried to help me with an unfornunate event I had with a taxi, very polite. Room was very clean and quiet. They had already the AC on when we arrived to the room and it was cool waiting for us!

However, it is a homestay so do not expect anything fancy. It was a local place to stay but great value for money.

Super clean and comfortable place. The staff were awesome, especially the young guy at the front desk. He cleaned our room very often and was very nice to us. Thought we will stay there for 2 nights, ended up staying there for about 2 weeks. Very happy with our stay
