Good location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was clean and basic, which was to be expected for the price. We also received a breakfast package as we were leaving early. Five stars. +++++

From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The pricing was reasonable, and though we initially hesitated to stay for breakfast since it starts at 9 am, I'm so glad we did! It turned out to be the best breakfast we had on our entire trip—absolutely worth the wait. Every employee we encountered was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend The Bowers Bar and Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful stay

The only way you could lock your room door is from a key from inside for when you sleep.

The location was excellent adjacent to a car park and in the centre of the town. The breakfast was good and service was excellent. All staff were very welcoming. The rooms were great value and beds were very comfortable. The restaurant below was very convenient and served very tasty and good value meals.

The only negative was the the breakfast served on Sunday was too late (after 11am) and we didn't have time for it.

Nice double room above a quiet street. Breakfast is in the restaurant of the property which opened at 9am .if I had not been rushing away I would have enjoyed that. I appreciated the large bottle sparkling water and plentiful tea coffee station in the room Nice linens and plenty towels.The price was well positioned and I was happy all round even without me being able to wait for breakfast.Would book again for sure..

Nice friendly pub, good location and car park over the road. Good sized room. Very good breakfast with lots of choices, generous portions in the restaurant. Lovely friendly staff. .

Despite secondary glazing, the traffic outside was noisy in the morning, as was the snoring and chatter from the next room. Double bed had a slightly bumpy mattress, but we slept well.

Room was warm and comfortable, bed was comfortable , tea and coffee making facility was excellent . Plenty hot water in the shower. Great breakfast. Lovely bar and restaurant area. Staff were great, food served quickly and with a smile.

Informed the owner before I left so hope he takes it the right way and acts on what I said.

The location was perfect as we were stopping at a place only a mile or so away to do some exploring. The breakfast service was excellent, with yummy food.

The breakfast does not start real early. Since we were tired from a long day of travel the day before that wasn't too much of a bother.

The room was clean & tidy. It was a no frills kinda place but comfy too. The restaurant was great, good food to be enjoyed.

There was no electric outlet near the mirror so I had to use the cord from the lamps to get the hair dryer to work. there was a tea pot set up, just nothing for the hair dryer. I think the tall clothes cabinet should be on the wall with the window so you do have access for the outlet to dry your hair or to use your curling iron or flat iron.

There was certainly enough choice at breakfast. The staff were super and could not do enough for you. Our room was very comfortable and the bedlinen and towels were spotless. The location was perfect for us as we were travelling to see family and sightseeing.

we arrived quiet late and the hotel an bar was about to close - but nevertheless the satff was superfriendly and let us in, handed us the keys and showed us everything so we felt very welcome. unfortunately we only had a short stay before we countinued our ride. the breakfast was really good.
