From the moment we approached Reception, we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile, with staff who could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The receptionist was so helpful, providing a list of places to dine in Westport and recommendations based on our preferences. The location is perfect for shopping and dining in Westport and for escaping out of town to Croak Patrick, Old Head, Lousberg. The bedrooms were so comfortable, even providing a fan in the room in case it was too warm. The breakfast was delicious, prepared individually and as you request. The dining staff were the friendliest and most accommodating I've ever experienced. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this lovely hotel.
Nothing!

.Beautiful lobby/reception on arrival - immaculate and inviting. Superb colours. Kathleen on reception was welcoming, helpful, and warm. Our room was perfect & had everything we needed but simple. Uncluttered. . Again immaculate. Enormous bed. Lovely to see a hotel where the hallways to the rooms are as well decorated & cared for as the front of house. And don't get me started on the breakfast - sensational! And great staff in the Boat Room. Super efficient and their customer service was second to none. Amazing location too - close to everything - including parking and bus links
That we could only stay for 1 night!

Room was lovely, clean and everything you.need was.there. Breakfast was lovely., staff very friendly and excellent service. Hotel was bright and clean and very welcoming. Very central to everything in Westport.
The room was very warm and even though we turned off the heating and opened the window room was still very warm. Also when we went to the bar to.order.soup/sandwiches at 3.10pm we where told only soup. I was clearly told they severed until 4pm in a previously sent email.

I like that the breakfast service is not self-service, that the staff provide table service. I found the staff in the breakfast room very attentive, patient, and courteous. They were friendly and professional, and I appreciated their service. I like that the housekeeping is not daily, for sustainability reasons, and because I tend to spend a bit of time in the room working or journalling before I start my day. If supplies ran out, I either rang down to Reception or asked the housekeeping staff in person for milk, etc. Shower and bathroom was fabulous, roomy, and warm and comfortable. The room was perfect for my needs, a desk for an occasional work task, and double bed that was perfect. I found Karolina on Reception to be very helpful on my check-in and check-out, and overall the Reception staff were excellent, plenty of info and advice for me, as well as stowing my luggage for a train that afternoon. I was unwell with a bad throat late one evening and needed to make up a salt rinse; when I went down to Reception, Michael there was able to source some in the bar. Happy to recommend the Mariner to all.
I found the Mariner to be lacking a little bit in personality - while the bedrooms feel ‘boutique’, some of the areas on the ground floor could use a bit more warmth to really help me connect with it and want to spend more time there.

We loved everything about the Mariner.. Exceptionally clean, really comfortable beds, central location.. We've stayed in many places in Westport over the while, and this one has just ticked a lot more boxes.. Breakfast is fantastic, superb ingredients with table service as opposed to buffet style in other local hotels we have stayed in.. Great coffee at breakfast served in a coffee pot was another bonus.. managed 3 full cups from it.. Staff were brilliant.. Really impressed .. We had booked a short 2 night break to climb Croagh Patrick with no real plans to be back in the short term, but we were that impressed with all aspects that we booked a longer break on this hotel in the new year, before we had even left the hotel..
Nothing we didn't like but did notice that the washbasin within the bathroom was really high

Location was great in the town centre but still quiet. Room was lovely. Breakfast was very tasty. Had a lovely waitress called Carrie who served us. She was friendly and efficient and made the breakfast experience fun. TV had a cast function which was very easy to use so we could use our own TV accounts on our phone through the hotel WiFi but watch on the TV. Public car park across the road was very handy but you needed coins for the machine so make sure you have €2. It's only€2 for 24 hours so excellent value.
The bed was comfy but it was 2 singles together as a double and there was a noticeable bit in the middle that you couldn't sleep on. Not the end of the world as it really was comfy and huge. Lift was slow but we just used the stairs which was better for our waistline, especially after all the lovely food in Westport!

We are travelling around Ireland and carefully planned our trip before going on this adventure. The Mariner Hotel at Westport has surpassed our expectations. It’s completely renovated, rooms are very comfy and considering that we have stopped in many different locations in Ireland, this is by far the best breakfast we’ve had so far. Very generous portions, top quality products and superb staff. Very highly recommended, so make sure you stop here because you will definitely enjoy it!
Very highly recommend, absolutely nothing negative to comment on this amazing stop!

The hotel location was within easy walking distance to everything. We found on street parking right outside the hotel easily and there is a car park down the road as a back up plan for only 2 Euro per day, which is very convenient. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bathroom and shower were large and modern. It was nice to have a kettle in the room to make tea or coffee in the mornings. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast - lots of options to choose from.
Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay!

Friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable, quiet and clean.
It was a lovely stay , these are few things that would improve the guest experience; the shower, when it is on it can spray straight out of the opening onto the floor unless you move the shower head. Also, I would have preferred a shower to be higher than shoulder level. Also, the cold water tap runs hot to begin with, you have to run it for 5 mins to get cold water.can be a pain in the middle of the night when you want some water. Toilet flush, pipes are loud. Breakfast was fine, but I think more flexibility would improve the offering. Eg, not everyone wants black pudding with their hot breakfast. No fruit yoghurt. Generally good though.

The whole experience was excellent. The staff were so nice and friendly. Breakfast was amazing such a selection and so tasty. No matter what you asked for you were given. The whole place was spotless and any information you wanted staff were willing to give you advice. I will definitely return there again.
There was an argument in the corridor between a customer and I think a night porter so that disturbed our sleep during the first night.
