It was my wife's birthday 🎂 and I asked about flowers as they will provide if wanted and I bought a card myself and gave it to them prior to my stay to place in our room with a bouquet of flowers that they chose andvprovided,,, the flowers were amazing my card was there and they also left a personalised complimentary box of chocolates and a little card from themselves,, a beautiful gesture to my wife. The hotel staff were brilliant, polite and went beyond their duties to make us welcome and comfortable. They upgraded our room free and the room was truly outstanding. The breakfast was second to none. I will 100% be back and would 100% recommend this hotel.

The hotel was incredibly comfortable and clean! From the minute that we checked in to check out, every staff member that we had an encounter with was extremely lovely and helpful. It's an extremely good value for money property as you are getting a high spec room for a great price. The little touches like the coffee machine and the water being replenished in the fridge each day made the hotel stay just that little better! The location was in a lovely part of the city and not too far from the centre of Dublin.

Comfortable beds, free bottles of water, friendly cleaners, right on the canal about 15minute walk from St Stephen’s Green

Thin walls—could hear some people going by. If it’s raining heavily you’d end up taking taxi/bus to go to the main areas of the city as the walk would be too much then—although it is flat and a straight line.

Location was perfect Cleanliness & Staff fantastic Fitness centre very good We arrived after very long flight from Australia 🇦🇺 Lillee came up to me, and offered to help with my bags to our room…..she mentioned the parking & offered to look for one & let us know when one became available!! I think she had noticed us earlier and went above & beyond to help……..within 15min my husband was able to secure a carpark! We were so impressed Thank You so much Lillee

At 3pm there’s was no car parks available, they are very limited! We found one in side street & paid 12euro then saw someone leaving carpark. That was annoying

Great spacious room, very comfy bed and pillows, clean bathroom with powerful rainfall shower with Ritual products which was a lovely touch. The additions of the fridge, robes&slippers and water gave it that extra special touch. Good bars and restaurants nearby and not too far out that we were able to walk back from Bord Gais. .

Car park said full but on checking for spaces there were five free. I understand car parking isn't guaranteed however using a board to share about spaces/being full is probably not the most effective. The free carpark is a great addition but we very nearly paid for on street parking when there were plenty of spaces.

Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond with a few requests that we had during the stay. Room was spacious, warm and very comfortable sleeping. The breakfast buffet was excellent too and we had no issues with parking onsite. It is a delightful hotel!

The room (we were upgraded) was in an area of the hotel that was a little disconnected from the lobby and required a good memory. It was also backing a quieter alley that had a lot of delivery trucks and was surprisingly noisy in the mornings but never really disrupted us.

Room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Excellent value for money especially given the location. Location within 10 mins walk to city centre. Hotel in the locality of plenty of amenities such as; restaurants, pubs, Sports Stadium, boutiques etc. Breakfast wasn't included in the nightly rate, however was at a very agreeable €30 for 2 people. Given the minimum breakfast rate in Dublin would be €20 each, the selection provided by the hotel was vast and fresh!

We couldn't Fault the Mespil and would gladly stay there again!

The rooms are very comfortable.Rituals products in the bathroom. Refillable containers so much more sustainable than tiny bottles & smelt gorgeous. Bed was so comfortable. Coffee machine. Little fridge. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. We were there for a concert in the National Concert Hall & it was just a short walk away. Lovely area highly recommend.

The only thing is it's first come first served with the parking. We missed out as we ran late but that was on us. We were told where to park safe & sound & it was only around the corner & free from 6.30pm Friday for the rest of the weekend.

Staff was wonderful, when we had an issue with our original room due to lack of cleanliness it was changed immediately and they also gave us two cocktail vouchers for the bar which was a nice touch. Also checked multiple times that the new room was clean enough. Masterclass in customer service.

The in room dining breakfast could use some work. The food wasn't of great quality, the brown bread was super dry almost stale, and the meats tasted a bit funny. It was weirdly plated in a way that didn't make sense. It seemed thrown together and not very detail oriented.
