Me and my boyfriend booked a room. We went down to the restaurant too have dinner and the we ordered drinks but the woman who was serving us asked us for Id.I didn’t have my id on me but my boyfriend did but the woman turned around and goes too me ino your over 18 but I don’t believe your over 21 which makes no sense too me because I booked the room and the legal age too drink is 18 not 21 and I also had drinks at the bar the night before so this makes no sense too me at all and I’m 25 which should’ve said it on my booking so I feel like something should be done about this

Close proximity to the city's centre, very friendly and welcoming staff. And I could actively decide to "go green" and not have our room cleaned every day to save energy. Can't say anything about the pool or sauna, as I didn't habe enough time to try it out. Maybe next time ;)

If there's one thing I would nitpick - it's the shower. The showerhead mounted on the wall had a strange angle and proximity to the wall it was hanging on, that a shower set half of the bathroom under water, as the shower curtain couldn't completely cover the space between tub and wall. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a minor inconvenience.

It was really nice to have the restaurant on property especially the first night when we were super jet lagged and just wanted a quick bite to eat before going to bed early. We also liked that two grocery stores were just short walks away so we could keep drinks and snacks in our mini fridge. Our teens also liked the workout facility! We were also thankful that our teens were in a separate room from us, each with their own bed.

The rooms are uncomfortably warm/hot due to no air conditioning. We tried to find ways around this by leaving windows cracked open as far as they would go (in the bedroom, only one window cracks open a few inches) and leaving curtains closed all day to block out sunlight. This only marginally improves the temperature, so keep in mind if you are used to/require a cool room to sleep jn. It was a 20 minute walk into town which was not very convenient.

The family suite was perfect for us. It was really spacious with two bedrooms a little hallway and a bathroom. The beds were really comfortable but the pillows were a little bit flat for my liking. The location was good. €12/€14 for a cab to the city centre. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The interior of the hotel is really nice and we also enjoyed the pool.

Check in took a long time. Our room wasn’t ready till 4pm which messed up our plans for the evening. It seems like maybe there is a problem with staffing in the hotel at the moment. When we got to our room the hallways were lined with all the dirty linen from the rooms they were still cleaning. Not the best first impressions. To be fair the hotel was really busy while we were there but even so I think by 4pm you would expect cleaning staff to have finished.

We really enjoyed our stay. We are in the restaurant and the food was very good and the service was lovely. There was a magician there who went around to all the tables and it was great entertainment. The lobby and the restaurant were very modern and both were great areas to sit and relax in. Also there is ample free parking which is a bonus for Galway.

Overall we were happy with our stay and we will definitely stay again. Only one criticism may be that as there was a group of us staying in the hotel, we got to see some of the bedrooms in both block A and block B. We felt the rooms in block B were a little old fashioned.

The property was brilliant for our needs we had a little one who enjoyed the pool and activities that the connacht hotel had. It was very well presented was comfortable exactly what you would expect and want in a holiday place. Couldn’t fault it on bit. the staff were incredibly friendly helpful and such a pleasure the restaurant in the hotel was very good and the food was lovely also the staff especially a lady called Mila was extremely lovely and it was such a pleasure and most definitely would recommend and hope to return soon. The location was a little more out then I expected but it was about a 10 mins drive to the city centre and 15 min drive to salt hill beach but due the place being so child friendly and staff being so friendly it didn’t bother us at all. thank you for a lovely little holiday. 10 out of 10.

perhaps the location could have been a little closer but really and truely nothing to complain about everything else was absolutely brilliant

Brilliant staff throughout the hotel. Would recommend the hotel to others ONLY if the prices were realistic and not over the top. Both of us enjoyed the gym and pool facilities- really clean n cared for.

Obviously the price! Paying a little below €500 for 2 nights board for 2 people…… breakfast extra! Not justifiable!!! In Vegas? Yes! In Galway…. NO! There were First Communion parties in a function room at the weekend. A lot of noise and very young children running about ( throughout the hotel bar and restaurant)with little apparent parental control outside of the function room. This is a parenting issue and not the hotel’s role.

Beautiful hotel in a great location just a few minutes drive from galway city centre and salthill. The staff were so friendly and the whole hotel Is child friendly. Our kids spent 1.5 hours upstairs yesterday evening watching a movie in the friendly fellows club. Gave mammy and daddy some time to enjoy the great music in the bar. Will definitely stay here again.

A member of house keeping walked into our room at 9.30am without knocking. Not a massive issue as we were just heading down for breakfast but a knock before entering would have been appreciated.

Although this is a large hotel that caters for groups of tourists and students, we were greeted cheerfully and efficiently and our special request for a quiet room was met, a room with a pretty view of wildflowers. The swimming pool was excellent. Breakfast was like a military operation with bookings at 15 minute intervals. There were nearly 1000 people to feed on Sunday morning yet everything went smoothly and the food was good and plentiful. The location was excellent for touring into Clare.

The bed was lumpy and groaned.

A large hotel that seemed to be bustling. Lots of hen parties going on during our stay! Seems like a place chosen by the locals to book events. It's just outside of the Galway town center, so it's easy access by bus. Or even a nice walk (about 1 mile away)! Nice variety of foods for the breakfast buffet.

Bathtub was narrow and difficult to get in and out of due to its height. I'm pretty agile, but I was afraid I would slip or trip and fall. A bit of wear and tear/water damage in the bathroom as well.
