I liked everything! Donal & Sean are darling & delightful, kind & gracious. They couldn't be nicer - you will love them! They check on you at breakfast, as do their lovely helpers, making sure you have everything you need- you feel as though your guests in their home. The breakfast was a veritable feast - eggs fried or scrambled, sausage, bacon, baked beans, tomatoes - oh and toast! Cereal or porridge. They even offer to make you the cutest poached eggs if you prefer to save a calorie or two. Yogurt & fresh fruit - blueberries, kiwi, bananas, apples, and oranges (grapefruit too I think). Coffee, tea, cappuccino, lattes, or espresso - at breakfast & self- service throughout the day until 10:00 or 10:30PM. The beds are comfy - perfect for sleeping & middle of the day naps. It's easy to pop back to your room before you head out to a pub to listen to trad music. The rooms are clean & the facilities always tidy. The location: a 10-minute walk to Eyre Square (I walk at a moderate pace). There's also a bus stop right out front. Here is bus, train, & coach information depending on how much luggage you have: the coach station is between Eyre Square & St. Jude's - it's a short walk up or downhill depending on whether you're coming or going. The buses & the train station are 2, maybe 3, blocks further down on the same side of the road as the coach station. They are in the same location (to each other) and are right before Eyre Square. There are taxis at both the coach station and the bus/train station to get you there. Donal & Sean will ring for a taxi when you leave - just be prepared that the taxis charge a few extra euros if you call for one when you leave, but well worth it. There was nothing I did not like, except for the fact that I couldn't stay forever.

Location was PERFECT! 10 min walk to train station, bus station, city center. The owners are very kind and hospitable. Late one night we booked a bus tour to Cliffs of Moher and in the morning, the owner was nice to call for us to double check the pick up location (good thing bc it was different than stated online!). We ate the full breakfast one morning, which was a great deal for €10. They do offer complimentary coffee and tea all day too. I would definitely stay here again.

One of our favorite stays in Ireland. Great value, large room, absolutely pristine clean, comfortable beds, extra pillows, kettle, coffee and tea in the room. And the location is spectacular. We booked for 2 nights but wish we had made it 3. Walking distance to Spanish District, famous pubs, nice restaurants, shopping, Salthill. And the proprietors were a delight...welcoming and ready to provide local information. They even went out of their way to find a bag of ice and deliver to our room when I experienced a small injury while out sightseeing.

Lovely clean spacious room with welcoming person at reception area. It’s within 10-15 minute walk to port for Aran Islands and downtown Latin Quarter. Free parking and 2hour laundry was available! Very hospitable and we booked additional night upon return from Aran Islands! 👍

Breakfast was an extra fee but since we were taking a rough ride on ferry to Aran Islands we didn’t want breakfast anyway (so not to increase chance of sea sickness 😉) better off not paying additional charge! 👍

The location was great as you are a short walk to the bus station and main square. The breakfast was delicious and affordable, the staff is very kind and helpful. The laundry service is very convenient and was a fast turnaround. If you are doing a day tour with Lally tours, the bus will pick you up right out front. Overall, it’s a great spot.

Be aware, the room and bathroom are small. Our room was a little warm especially after taking a shower so we opened the windows to let in fresh air. However, our room faced the road so the trade off was hearing traffic especially in the morning. I’d recommend bringing earplugs.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to park the car early before check in and late after check out, and also made available the toilets, coffee tea and water which was much appreciated. The parking was free and in a safe location. The B&B is in a nice quiet neighbourhood, and just a short 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Overall this was perfect for our stay, and was priced very reasonably versus other available options.

Location, value and great service combine to make this modern but cosy B&B a superb choice for anyone wanting to see Galway. We stayed just before Christmas 2024 and walked to the Xmas markets in no time. Our hosts were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us really. The room was great, the shower excellent and having good complimentary coffee available all day was handy. You can’t go wrong and we would definitely stay here next time we’re in town. Thanks for a great stay!

Our experience at St. Jude's was excellent. The owners were attentive, kind, helpful, flexible, welcoming. The parking was a huge bonus for us traveling by car. We were early but our room was ready and we dropped our bags, had a cup of tea, and set out to enjoy the city. We had great information about sites and dining options. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and healthy. The rooms are simple and basic. Definitely no frills, but comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The location was terrific with an easy walk to the center of the city with its shopping and sites. We highly recommend St' Jude's.

Nothing. There are many students from the local high school who come in at lunch time. If you are bothered by the "noise" of kids having lunch together, you might be bothered. We were not. The kids were polite and respectful of us older folks sharing their dining room.

Very friendly hosts and lovely breakfast. We stayed in the St. Gerard house and everything was nice and quiet. The property was convenient to the bus station which we used to leave Galway. We also liked that it was a few blocks away from the business of the city center. Everything was within walking distance without being in the middle of things during a busy summer season.

Our room had a twin and a double bed in it that were close together. This seems to be the norm. We spent very little time in our room so it didn't matter much.

Great location, walking distance (5-10 min stroll) from the high street, Eyre Square, and the bus depot. Super friendly staff, excellent full irish breakfast. VERY impressed with the shower, wonderful water pressure - and you don't normally think about that, which goes to show how good it must be to be noticable. Feels like you're at a spa.

Room was a little warm, particularly at night, even with the window open. Not at all a problem, just noticable. Might be nice to have a fan or something.
