Absolutely loved staying in the castle as we had done previously in February. We'll aim to come back very very soon, love the rooms and how beautiful they are. The beds are so comfortable and we always get a great sleep when we're there. Also loved relaxing in the lounge looking at the horses.

Not the hotels fault at all, just there was a wedding the second night we were there which impacted our sleep but very little that can be done about that.

The bath was lovely as well as the views of the hotel. The location was great beside lots of walks. Meant to be a ghost or two. Hotel is apparently going to be done up with new rooms, a swimming pool and saunas.

Located above the bar when the hotel was relatively empty and heard loud booming voices until 1am. Brought to the attention of staff, they apologised but took no action or offered any recompense of any kind. Came for the Dungeon bar but they had it all locked up. Hotel a tad rundown at the moment.

Loved the castle rooms. We felt like we were staying in a castle rather than a generic hotel. Greart attention to detail throughout the castle. Breakfast was excellent.

We had to wait about half an hour to check in.

I was on a work trip traveling alone from the USA. I usually stay at chain hotels because I know what to expect. I figured I could not pass up this castle experience, and wow was I right! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I was unable to attend the onsite breakfast the next day because I had to leave early for work. The 2 women at the front counter said they would see about getting me a little "to go" bag with maybe a croissant or something for the morning. I thanked them and told them I'd be ok and not to worry too much. The front counter wasn't open when I left, but there was a gentleman downstairs that worked there. He saw me and said there was a breakfast bag for me. To my surprise there was a very nice sandwich with bacon and sausage, an apple, yogurt, a water, utensils and a napkin. I cant believe they went out of their way to make sure I had something for the road. I don't know what the other 36 rooms looked like but I feel I had the best room in the castle. I had the Michael P. Murphy room. It was located in the top right corner of the castle. It was a large room with a singe bed. The bed was carved into the shape of a boat, and my bathroom was the entire top tower floor. The room was very comfortable and had everything you need for a great stay. As an American I could have used a mini fridge because I like my drinks super cold, but I know that's not very European and I would never fault them for not having one. Also there is a cool Cat on the grounds. "Boots" is my new favorite Castle Kitty! Next time I'm in the area I will make sure I have my wife and kids along as this is a one of a kind adventure.

Honestly, There was nothing I didn't like and there wasn't much they could do to make it a better stay. No complaints at all.

Booked Kinnitty to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday and was a bit nervous in case it didn’t live up to expectations but thankfully I was wrong- Kinnitty Castlr blew us away from the minute we arrived! The setting is stunning and the castle is magnificent, so much character. It’s a little shabby chic but the staff mentioned it will be refurbished soon. We had lunch in the dungeon bar, dinner in slí dála restaurant and afternoon tea in the lounge, all of which were excellent. However it is the staff who make the experience special- all the staff we met were friendly and helpful, and really went the extra mile. We were there during a big snowstorm and everything still ran smoothly- the manager even dug our car out for us the next morning. A truly magical stay and we will definitely be back!

Nothing!

The building itself has existed for centuries, so it's steeped in history and folklore. Long, narrow corridors, archways, trinkets, and wall decorations create a rather quaint palatial ambiance. That alone makes staying there worthwhile. The grounds surrounding the hotel are also quite picturesque, great for a morning walk, weather permitting of course. The courtyard, which features a lovely seating area, was closed, probably because it's off-season. I'd imagine it'd be open by Spring. We did not have any dinner/drinks, so can't comment on that. We did have buffet-style breakfast (included with the price of a double room), which was tasty, particularly the sausages. There was no scrambled egg option though, only fried.

Despite being a castle-type building, the wall partitions are paper thin. Coupled with a very squeaky bed, well, you can imagine the implications of this for, shall we say, the intimate moments. Conversely, while our neighbours next door could clearly hear us, we could clearly hear them talking, watching TV, and, um, snoring. Every time they moved, it sounded like they were walking past our own bed.

loved the breakfast. Lots of choses and everything was presented very nicely. Staff was quick to our needs and friendly. Food very tasty. Tables were lovely with the linens so white and clean. Location perfect.

The only complaint we have was checking in. We were told just a few minutes which turn into over an hour wait. Sat in the reception room with all our luggage which only had two chairs to sit on. It would have been nice if someone had said we are sorry to keep you waiting. We are running a little late because of being short staffed. Please we will put your luggage somewhere safe and come and have a coffee in the library while you wait. We know that at times things do go wrong and are out of our control. Just keep in mind that checking in is the first impression and should always be a priority. People don't mind waiting as long as they are compfortable.

We stayed at this amazing castle for 2 nights. We were greeted with a warm welcome at reception and chatted for a while about the area. Even though we were 2 hours early, they told us that our room was ready and were invited to check in. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. They provided a warm menu for breakfast with lots to choose from with a continental buffet as well. We already miss our time there and loved exploring the castle's hidden treasures and surrounds. Will definitely be back many times!

Nothing, was perfect!

The staff were absolutely amazing! So friendly! And had a lovey surprise for my husband up in the room as it was his birthday! The castle was so cozy and full of character.

The room was cold when we arrived and the carpet looked like it wasn't hoovered before we checked in, there was a wrapper from a sweet by the bed...There were no curtains on one of the windows in our room (room was called Thomas Winter). The satee in our room seriously needs to be upholstered! The shower in the bathroom produced only luke warm water, but there was a free standing bath that was great!
