Comfortable bed and good quality pillows. Carefully decorated in line with a period home. Chandeliers were spectacular. Food in the restaurant was really good. Breakfast was amazing. Large lounges were great for relaxing. Staff were chatty and helpful. Peaceful location

Disappointed with our room. We didn't get the comfortable armchairs that were in all advertising pics. Instead there were two dining chairs. No slippers, no chocolates or cookies as advertised. Bathroom was large but shower was lethal. Water went all over the floor. Hairdryer was not easy to use. Recommend bringing your own. Garden was a let down. Flower beds devoid of any planting. Weeds and catnip do not a garden make. Biggest concern was a lack of disabled parking.

I took a chance booking this hotel hoping for a quiet peaceful room and hotel to get a restful sleep etc as I was attending an event with my daughter and we needed our rest! Well...I have never slept in more luxuorious beds...duck down pillows...heaven...but most importantly...quiet as a mouse come bedtime!!! So relaxing and restful❣️ Delicious breakfast with fresh local produce, excellent service and the staff were so accomodating at every stage of our visit. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK 🥰

The fridge was leaking in our room. The staff did what they could to accomodate this...turn the fridge off...but as I brought milk and cereal and fresh fruit for snacking..this facility was spoiled.

Absolutely superb experience at the Rockhill House. Our room was spacious, superbly appointed, and a word that I don't use much in reviews, luxurious. All of the staff - front desk, restaurant, housekeeping - were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast, as expected, was fantastic. The grounds are lovely with manicured gardens, fountains and statuary. After touring estate houses all over Ireland it was fun to get to sleep at one. Drivers will like the easy and secure parking. Cost was above average, but the Rockhill House was worth the price.

The only thing I did not like was that my trip schedule only allowed us to stay for one night. I would have liked to spend several nights with this as my base.

Booked for a 3 night stay, mid-July 2024. Unusually for me, I paid a little extra for a garden view room and our random room allocation won us the jackpot! A truly sumptuous room. Breakfast is great, wthe taff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice to walk around. The location is perfect for driving around Donegal - Glenveagh National Park, Rathmullan, Port Salon and Ards Friary are all 30-40 minutes drive from the hotel. If you need picnic supplies, Letterkenny has everything from an Aldi to a Marks and Spencers.

Bit disappointed a 90-minute spa visit was an extra cost of €50, most hotels would allow free use of the swimming/dipping pool at least for guests.

Absolutely stunning, luxurious rooms and decor throughout. Beautiful Chandeliers graced the rooms and hallways, just absolutely gorgeous. bedroom/ensuite spacious and beautifully designed too. Bed was super comfy. This manor has been designed with love and care and it shows. The gardens have beautiful statues and a fountain, which were lovely to walk around. We had a 2 night stay and ate at the on site restaurant THE CHURCH, beautiful food, and great service too. A luxurious stay in a peaceful setting, can not wait to return.

Just one thing, a restaurant for dinner within the manor would make the stay perfect. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant whereas dinner is just a short 5 minute stroll to the church restaurant. Be nice to be able to have a light lunch rather than a dinner especially if staying a few days

Breakfast was all freshly cooked or baked and delicious - we had omelette, pancakes, wheaten bread, little scones, fresh frit salad and yoghurt. The estate is verdant and the house well away from anywhere. The furnishings and decor are splendid and full of colour and character so that it feels like a stately home. We had a four-poster bed with luxurious bedding, beautiful wall coverings and fabrics, and a large modern bathroom as new.. Staff made us feel really at home and we were met by the owner who took us on a tour of the 5 impressive sitting rooms, dining room and courtyard rooms.

The property itself is stunning. The rooms are big. The beds are super comfortable. There’s a restaurant, bar and wellness center on site. The restaurant food was mouth watering and well seasoned. The wellness center was very vibey and we were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. Perfect spot for 1 night to just disconnect from your day to day life and relax.

There was some minor issues like one of the hairdryers did not work, one of the towels had a pink stain and the towel rad didn’t work. But like I said they were minor they didn’t affect our stay.

Rockhill House is a beautiful mansion house with no expense spared on fixtures and fittings. The small band of staff are great. If you want a quiet place to chill out this is it.

The hotel seems a bit disjointed and doesn’t seem to promote itself and just seems to be ticking along in 3rd gear.No one ever mentioned whether we’d like to use the spa and it almost seems like it operates as a separate business. We have stayed here on a few occasions before and nothing seems to have progressed. The walled garden, which many visitors probably don’t know exists, has had a fair amount of money spent on it a few years ago, creating a pond , fountain etc however it has been totally neglected and is now fairly grown over.

Rockhill House is a beautiful country house in a great location. The rooms are full of period features, character and old world charm. There are lovely drawing/sitting rooms where you relax in the evenings after having a meal in the nearby 'The Church' restaurant. We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming and would highly recommend Rockhill House for a relaxing weekend. We will certainly return.

The only thing amiss is a vegetarian option on the cooked breakfast offerings. A vegetarian fry offering potato bread/soda bread, savoury pancakes, vegetarian sausages etc. in place of bacon, egg and sausage would have been a nice option.

The house is just fantastic, decorated to an amazing standard with small touches of classical themes on every turn, and totally could not fault the beautiful premises.. outstanding 😀 Plus.. lovely thoughtful food gift, left in our room, as it was my wife's birthday. It was really appreciated so much.😘

Unfortunately, Front-of-House is let down by pure customer service. For example, no one there, at arrival or leaving. Bar prices change depending on who served you. This is just a wonderful place let down with a few simple things that need addressed Also, please upgrade the napkins in the restaurant. The paper ones are just so cheap and in keeping with breakfast room in the main house.
