Serendipity....oh my goodness....what a unique special place this is. The Continental Breakfast selection was excellent, delicious and plentiful with fresh fruit, pastries, meats, cheese, muffins, scones, a variety of coffee, tea, juice and more. A reasonably priced separate cooked to order breakfast menu was offered as well. Two evenings, we had a fantastic dinner in their private room at the back of the property which has an amazing patio view of the city. Our room on the top floor was quiet, spotless and cozy. The owner Stephen, Chef Sheamus ❤️ and Caroline (who worked so hard and her beautiful smile never left her face) we're so welcoming and friendly, we hated to leave. Needless to say, Serendipity is highly recommended by Canadian mom and daughter traveling through beautiful Ireland ☘️

View from bedroom window of the city walls and glimpse of the river and peace bridge. Lovely spread for breakfast, continental as weekday (will try a weekend for a cooked breakfast next time). Friendly staff. Single room was perfectly functional and the best value when I searched for accommodation As a solo female it met my top criteria/needs of safety and cleanliness 100%.

It is made very clear the "private external bathroom" is not in the room but just to clarify it is on the floor underneath the single room D. Keypad entry so just for your use, very clean, powerful and hot shower in a big cubicle, decent towels supplied. Not an issue but a dash in the middle of the night!

I had not received information about self check in, (which was reported to have been sent by email)and I arrived very late with the understanding that the Reception was 24 hrs(as the Booking.com website stated). The host/owner was extremely helpful and welcoming in overcoming this issue. I have never seen so comprehensive and wonderful the continental breakfast…it was amazing, and the servers keen to offer local information on various sights, transport etc. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much

I opted for a single room, but was not aware that the bathroom and toilet were not en-suite until I arrived. It was not at all convenient to have to make trips to a lower floor even to get a glass of water, not to mention perform ablutions and use the WC.

The welcome from Carolyn was outstanding. The location is good for walking into the city walls and the parking was straight forward on the street outside. The view from the guest back terrace is great. Our room was of a good size and the location was quiet. The bed was comfortable.

Some other guests were noisy at 2am when struggling for a longtime to master the key pad to get in. Being by the front door meant everything in the hall was heard. Likewise in the bathroom the wall to the kitchen was so thin it was distracting. The bathroom itself had some decent finishes but lacked finishing properly. The toiletries were lacking compared to other b&b stays. The breakfast staff were having a bad day.

Very nice B&B within walking distance of the town (note: it goes up and down). The decor is good, the staff are friendly and the little pub hut outside on the terrace overlooking the town would have been nice but was closed during our stay. The breakfast (Full Ulster Fry + various side dishes) was wonderful.

Unfortunately the little pub hut was closed. It was one of the reasons we booked this B&B. I had a "private bathroom", but to enter it you had to leave your room and enter a 5-digit code at the door. This proves to be a bit difficult when you're tired in the middle of the night ;-) But none of this is really bad.

Cracking view of the city from my room. Nice beer garden.

Private bathroom was downstairs for room D. It was only for my use but not ideal if you need to use the toilet in the middle of the night.

The staff (Aoife and Caroline) were so helpful and friendly, allowed me to check in early as room was ready, gave me all directions to town that I needed and ordered taxis for me. The food was exceptional in taste and portions, and the chef was very friendly too. All round, great little place to stay 😃

Parking may be a bit of a problem for some although I got lucky and found a space right at the door. Didn't move the car again though until I was leaving as I might not have got another one so easily

The guesthouse is close to the city centre although it is up a slight hill. Thank goodness taxis in Derry are not expensive. Staff are friendly and rooms were clean.

Whilst the guesthouse advertising states "breakfast included" this is a continental breakfast and if you want a cooked breakfast it's an extra £10 but it's definitely worth it. Breakfast is delicious.

Good location overlooking the City centre from the terrace bar and a less than ten minute stroll to the main City centre area. Lovely staff, very attentive and helpful, room was compact but everything you needed and comfortable. Continental breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice plus you could get a cooked breakfast for a small charge but the continental was enough for us. Nice terrace bar area, which we took advantage of, overall a great place for a base to do your Derry exploring.

The staff were really helpful and the location was good for exploring the old city centre. The breakfast buffet was included and the continental option was adequate, good coffee too.

The bedding on my single bed was not made very well and the sheets came off during the night, there was no mattress protector for some reason. My friend's room was very hot when we arrived. The radiator was full on. It was summer and 25C in Derry so this was rather odd and irritating. It did cool down though later on The place has steep stairs that might not suit everyone. Hot breakfasts were charged extra but I can see why the B&B would do this, as not everyone needs one The on-street parking was not that easy but we got parked on the hill opposite with no real hassle.
