We have just spent the most fabulous weekend in the Everglades celebrating our marriage. Our guests could not have been happier with the venue and it truly was a magical time spent with friends and family. It would be remiss of me to not mention Sam and Finn by name. Their dedication to their job and our guests went above and beyond what could be expected of them. This is especially true when the day after the wedding Finn found us a bar to watch the Everton game despite it not being listed on TV. Sam too was such a reassuring presence throughout the weekend even when typical wedding nerves and stress kicked in. We cannot wait to return for our one anniversary. Thank you!

The reception staff upon arrival, are always excellent ……. Professional and welcoming. The hotel is spotless and the bar staff are well trained and again professional. The bedrooms are extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay, including iron/ironing board, hairdryer. Their Espa bathroom products are lovely and the towels are big and fluffy. I love the fact that they continue to leave two bottles of water in the room and also little biscuits to have with our coffees. In a time when all hotels are cutting any extras to the bone, this hotel continues to maintain its standards. It’s the little touches that make the difference. Can I also say, the Xmas decorations were fabulous. Well done to you all and a happy Xmas.

Friendly helpful staff, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Hotel common areas, reception & lounge etc beautifully decorated & furnished & all facilities were spotlessly clean, outside areas were really well maintained & the flowers were blooming out of every planter & flowerbed. The room was spacious, well appointed & in excellent condition decor & furnishings wise. The beds were extremely comfortable & the pillows & bed linen were of high quality... Would definitely recommend & plan to stay there again myself in the future

Only stayed one night but couldn't really fault anything, breakfast was probably a bit on the expensive side but that is about the only negative thing I could say, lovely hotel, lovely staff

Most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful except for 1 of the receptionists. The hotel is close to the town centre, walkable if you are a good walker bit literally 5-10mins in the car

Bed was too high for me, I am disabled (not wheelchair bound) and struggled to get into bed. When I booked I was not aware that it was a room only basis, I thought I was booking bed and breakfast and when we arrived to check in we were hit with a bill of £48 extra to pay for breakfast. They did not advise us of this when we first arrived and we had to make a separate payment less than 5 mins after the original payment was taken There was no power sockets beside the bed, so we had to charge our phones and watches at the other side of the room and the power sockets were hidden. Everything about the everglades is perfect, from the minute you enter to the time you leave you are looked after, with kindness, care, professionalism, the reception staff are friendly and warm, nothing is too much bother to organise. The beds are the most comfortable ever, like sleeping on a cloud. The location is 10 minutes to city centre with taxis costing around £6. The breakfast has everything you could ask for. The bar staff are attentive with a good sense of humour and knowledge of cocktails.

Always a friendly welcome at the Everglades - but that is very typical of Derry people. Bed very comfy and room spacious. Room rate very reasonable considering the Jazz festival was on. A decent walk into town if the weather is good but taxis aren't hard to get or expensive. We will definitely be back.

One very minor niggle - Housekeeping staff arrived at 10.30 even though we were due to check out at 11.00. No big deal but probably not that difficult to fix.

Beds were very comfortable. Library Bar is really nice with lovely staff. We ate our meal in there and it was really nice and relaxed.

Our room was near the road and the road noise was appalling. The rooms were too hot as they have no AC. I was moved to the other side of the hotel and the road noise was much better but room was way hotter. They will provide you with a fan though if you ask. Not very good for vegan guests. At breakfast there was limited choice for me and I had to ask about everything. Very disappointing.

The receptionist was so helpful and nice. We found mould and could not close the bathroom door in our first room and the receptionist immediately gave us another room to move into. However this room was a double bed rather than the twin beds I booked but once again, the receptionist made sure another room we required would be ready upon our return from dinner. The lobby itself felt very cosy with a fireplace which was great during the cold nights

There was mould in one room however consequently the other rooms we moved into were clean. Additionally the location was a bit far from the centre (30 minute walk) where you are required to walk via a pathway very close to a busy road. Nonetheless the taxi to the centre was very cheap and receptionist booked them for us with a 5 minute maximum wait

Staff were amazing, food in bar and breakfast the next morning was lovely. Room was really comfortable and beds were nice.

On arrival our sink hadn't been cleaned properly and toiletries were used. Think cleaning staff just forgot to switch out toiletries and do a final check before we arrived in. The room was quite hot overnight as well with no Aircon and the window facing the road sounded like it was open (we checked and it wasn't) made for a bit of a rough night's sleep. Room itself was very clean so we didn't mention anything to staff.

Excellent hotel. The one drawback was that the room was very hot when I first stepped in. I raised the issue of air conditioning but was told none existed. However, the staff member kindly provided me with a table fan, without any charge. That was very much appreciated.

Provide air conditioning or at least table fans in the rooms. I found lots tiny black insects hovering my meal in the restaurant. One insect fell into my drink and when I reported the drink was replaced. I hope something is done about those insects.
