I recently stayed at the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick and had a really lovely experience. The room was excellent – spotless, comfortable, and well-kept. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. The location is a little bit outside of the town centre, but taxis in and out were easy to get, so it wasn’t an issue. The pool was a great bonus – clean and relaxing. The staff were all lively, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay, which made it even more enjoyable. I’d happily come back again. Highly recommend for a relaxing break in Limerick!

The stay was a bit on the pricey side.

I liked everything. The room was newly renovated and spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food was second to none. We had seafood chowder at lunch, which was the best I have had in years. The dinner was also of a very high standard. The same applied at breakfast time. The staff are what made this hotel memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated so well. It is obvious that this is a happy workforce and of course this is helped greatly by the good example given by management to their staff. To see a manager on the floor of the restaurant doing the same tasks as the staff was very refreshing.

There was nothing negative to say about this hotel.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. Free car park was very much appreciated. The location is excellent for visiting Limerick and Clare. The bar was very clean and comfortable.

Diner was very good but badly presented. Staff were friendly and helpful in bar/restaurant. Breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs were tasteless, puddings very poor. We had a long wait for service even though the breakfast room was quiet. A few small things which should not happen- soup brought to table without a spoon, main course brought without knife and fork. We had to ask for them. Reception staff not friendly.

We used the hotel as we were going to a concert in Thomand Park. The location was exceptional for that. The stadium was about a 30 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel also offered a mini bus shuttle to the stadium for a 5 euro per person. The hotel also offered barbecue style food for concert goers which we thought was very good value for money. The public transport links to the city were good and easy to navigate.

While the facilities were clean, the changing rooms in the leisure centre were very dated. There were a few broken lockers etc. which was a shame. Apart from that the pool facilities were nice.

Room was lovely and clean and comfortable. Our room was the first on the corridor and we thought it would mean there would be lots of noise, but we heard no one! The pool was a good addition. Very close to the Bun Ratty banquet experience 🙂

The gym equipment was very dirty. After using it, our hands were black. Breakfast was average. Our hotel door was very heavy, with no soft close catch, annoyingly it could only be closed by slamming it shut, which must have been irritating for the neighbours.

Lovely, large room, nicely furnished. Very comfy bed. Everywhere in the room & hotel was spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast and superb Friday lunchtime carvery. My wife is vegetarian and there wasn’t a ‘hot’ option, only salad. Although not on the menu the chef put together a huge plateful of veggies with mushroom sauce which my wife said was ‘absolutely delicious!’. Really friendly, helpful staff in the hotel, bars & restaurant.

There are absolutely no ‘fittings’ in the bathroom! No toilet roll holder, no towel holders and no hooks to hang robe. Pillows a bit too soft for me..

The food we had for dinner and breakfast was very tasty. The room was clean and comfortable.

At dinner we received very good service until we were waiting to be offered desserts. We tried to get someone's attention for around 25minutes! Once we managed to beckon a waitress over to us (even though the restaurant didn't seem to be overly busy), we learnt that our waitress had gone on her break and another waitress had gone home. Sadly this led to poor after service. We didn't bother with dessert or coffee and just returned to our rooms. We could hear the people in the adjacent room very clearly, not great at 4am. At breakfast the waitress appeared quite grumpy ( a different set of staff from the previous evening) and off-hand. The breakfast was tasty though.

The hotel is clean and the rooms spacious. Easy to use showers, the knobs are not under the shower head, so you don't get hit by cold water when you turn it on. A kettle in the room is useful. Comfortable bed, the pillows not great, but pillows are tricky. Inclusive use of the leisure facilities is great, we really enjoyed having a swim and a jacuzzi after spending a long time in the car. The location is good, on a main road so the access is easy and easy, plenty of parking. There is a big Tesco 5 minutes away. We didn't eat at the restaurant because I have food allergies, but from what we saw, it looked well done with good portions.

The decor is a bit aged, too dark for my taste. You can see where there is wear and tear that could be done up. Otherwise it's a great place to stay.

The hotel was situated in a lovely area and we had a view of a nice courtyard and fountain from our window. The gym was kitted out well and the swimming pool and leisure facilities were good. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the food smelled good and looked good when we visited the bar. Didn't have any issues so didn't really speak to staff apart from checking in or out and they were nice enough during those times. Beds were comfy and the room was clean.

There was a problem with the Jacuzzi affecting the temperature so it was a bit cold but still okay, then water in the bathroom was absolutely roasting hot so be VERY careful. There's also rules in the pool e.g. swim caps must be worn if going in the pool so be prepared for that. We drank at the bar twice and the staff were lovely but they had no prosecco apart from a tap which was flat when I had it. When we booked we knew it wasn't right in the city centre but it was about an hours walk in which we did once as the weather was lovely but probably be ready to jump in taxis in/from the city centre.

Beds were comfortable and clean. Rooms were a large size. Shower pressure was good. The communal areas were also clean and smelt fresh and inviting. The room colour schemes and decor are very classy, they help to set a calm, relaxed mood. This hotel is great value for money and had I been better prepared, I’d have fully utilised the leisure centre facilities.

The only thing I could say that needs reviewing (and it’s a TINY point, it didn’t impact us massively), the draft in the corridor causes the door to shift when anyone opens or closes doors outside the room. We thought the door was open initially but it’s the pressure of the through-draft
