The bedroom was spacious with two easy chairs. McGettigans Bar extremely inviting with good range of drinks and service Bedrooms quiet despite being next to a roundabout on a main traffic route across the river Location next to river and riverside walks Breakfast served rather than help oneself.
Provision of other rooms or facilities rather than operate in a kind of bed and breakfast mode: especially when taking account of the usual weather experienced in Limerick McGettigans being open earlier especially on wet days not open until 4:00pm on 21st July

Stayed for Limerick Marathon and is about 500 meters from start. Excellent location in the centre of Limerick, walking distance from everything and good value, room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Talked to 3 different members of staff re Breakfast and got 3 different answers. No one seemed to know the start time or how you pay which led to a bit of an uncomfortable conversation at the desk. Long story short, I got breakfast (by chance) and it was lovely. Limerick City Hotel - you are 500 meters from the start line of the marathon with thousands of people doing it (along with the festival). You need to advertise as the place to stay for runners and accommodate an early breakfast (even cold). (I got fed but still not sure what the official breakfast policy was)

I recently stayed for 2 nights in the Limerick City Hotel. The hotel is conveniently situated on the quays at the Shannon Bridge and an approx 10 minute walk from the railway station and closeby to O'Connell Street and an approx 15 minute walk from the Arthurs Quay shopping centre. All staff - both at check-in and check-out and also in Henry's Brasserie - were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nicely finished. Breakfast in Henry's Brasserie was excellent. The hotel adjoins McGettigans bar and restaurant. The reception staff were very accommodating in allowing my holdall to be stored for a while. I would look forward to staying in the Limerick City Hotel on any return visit to Limerick.
Nothing springs to mind

Great location, clean comfortable room. Parking for 24 hrs was 9 euro in the multi story car back at the rear. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd a lovely room over looking the river Shannon. It's a very short walk to the city centre. No taxis are needed to explore Limerick from here. Thomand Park & The Gaelic Grounds are also with in walking distance. Dolans Warehouse is right around the corner.
The worst pint of Guinness I've had in many years served to me in McGettigans bar in the hotel. It was undrinkable and I left it after me. Disgusting stuff. Other than that it was a top place to stay for a night out.

Location was perfect Staff were exceptional welcoming and helpful yet not over powering or over the top just right
The access to the hotel was confusing at first also I had a person with a disability with me which was difficult to get access to and from hotel without proper signs and directions also we needed 24/7 access to the car which was difficult as there was no parking available outside the hotel doors for a disability space, if our stay had of been longer we would of figured it out alot quicker but it has taught me to ring ahead to other hotels and be prepared myself so it's not technically the hotels fault my mother has been newly diagnoses with a disability so we are learning as we go

The property was beautiful. The Lobby was perfect. it was modern, classy, clean and very impressive in first impression. wonderful layout, easy to navigate and just brilliant The staff were incredible, and the man who checked us in was truly the best customer service we’ve ever experienced! So accommodating, welcoming and personable. the breakfast was AMAZING also. overall, just an amazing experience. can’t wait to come back
it’s VERY hard to find something I didn’t like about the hotel. if I HAD to, then the carpet in the hallways are a little dated. very Burberry style, but honestly, you wouldn’t notice too much

The location was excellent. Fairly near to both Limerick's main transport hubs. Arthur's Quay, and the train station. As soon as you get out of the Hotel, the view of the River Shannon accompanied by Ireland's typical greenery, welcomes you. The Hotel's pub is an outstanding experience in itself....and the food served there is possibly the best food that I've had in my 6 days at Ireland. You don't have to ask the staff for anything.......because what you expected is already there.
There must have been a school's weekend holiday when I stayed in this hotel, because there were plenty of children moving around the corridors of the hotel......but children are harmless (although sometimes a little noisy), and their innocence is a spectacle in itself. What is more, their bedtime is respected, so I had no trouble with sleeping at the end of each day.

Great location . Helpful staff . Car parking was easy and good price
This is more 3 star than 4 star . Room was quite hot and stuffy during the night even with window open as wide as possible . No decaf tea in the room Lack of decaf and low fat options for breakfast . It was quite unhealthy . And a continental breakfast option would have been nice . Felt it catered for the American market too much

The receptionist we checked in with was so helpful and had great craic with us. The room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Great value for money. Will definitely be back again in future.
The only issue we had was that we were in a room beside the elevator and could hear it every time someone used it but we didn't mind at all because the beds were so comfy we fell asleep right away!
