Love the HiB but sadly it's looking very dated. Beds are soooo comfy and the rooms were very clean. BREAKFAST was fabulous. Dinner, last night, was lovely. Think there were 4 choices chosen between us all and everyone really happy with theirs. Great service from bar staff and we had several rounds. Entrance is, just dark and dismal. If it weren't for the lady's lovely, cheerful smile it wud be miserable. You've put in some cheap looking grey (!) plether furniture at the back of the lobby - take my word they ARE NOT comfortable. I'm afraid the consensus among the 8 adults last night was that unless ye do SOMETHING then when the Central hotel reopens you're gonna be in trouble.

Sorry I've said it all in the above. Oh except that u badly need a toaster/microwave in the dining area. We couldn't hear the pancakes or waffles this morning AND there wasn't any sauce for them,!!!! STAFF all friendly and helpful.

Stayed here as a single occupancy for a night away with work. Assigned me a massive room at the front of the hotel overlooking the main street, and it was great to have the space to relax in. Excellent bathroom and toiletries. Leisure centre and pool as well. Good breakfast was included.

The hotel generally could probably do with a revamp, and parts of the room were showing some need of refurb (stains on ceiling, peeling window frames) but I am realistic enough to realise the expense of doing these things while keeping rooms fully occupied.

Reception staff lovely and friendly, room was great and very very spacious, lovely shower, and room was very quiet. parking facilities at back of hotel were great with ticket provided from reception as well. Lovely breakfast area with loads of choice and friendly staff.

Bar area for food in evening was not great at all, counter was full of dirty dishes and glasses, not a nice sight really, waited a while to be served but no staff (there was 5 or 6 staff around) even acknowledged me !!!! and there was a couple of other people waiting too to be served ....... so....left, and went elsewhere !!!

This hotel was a great place to stay. It is an older hotel with some upgrades. The rooms were quiet. The staff were wonderful. We had been put in a smaller double room the first night. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning. They apologozed and moved us to a larger room with a street view as I had originally requested. They stated that on the first noght the hotel was very busy and that is why we unfortuately gave us a smaller room . The facilities were great and centrally located as the only hotel in town. We loved out stay

One of the beds was incomfortable . Needs to be upgraded. But the room was nice !

I got a room on the second floor. It was a double room. It was big enough for one person. It was very clean and tidy. The bathroom facilities were very good shower and the usual toiletries and towels supplied. The bathroom was spotless. I had breakfast in the hotel for the three days I stayed. It was the usual Irish fry up with tea and toast or rolls. There was orange juice and pastries if you preferred the continental breakfast. The location of the hotel is very good as it is near almost everything you would need in the town. There is a bank next door, Mac Donald's across the street for the kids, and various other restaurants if you want to eat out. i.e. Indian, or Asian, or Chinese foods in the local area. Most of them reached by foot. The hotel has a pool and leisure centre behind it, and there is an outdoor type of garden where you can get snacks in the middle of the day. The staff in the hotel were excellent, and went out of their way to give their customers great service.

Located 10mins walk from the train station, Hibernian Hotel looks pleasant and homely both on the outside and inside. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with a sizable bathroom. Staff were helpful throughout our stay. With a good variety of restaurants and cafes nearby, we were spoilt for choices!

Accessibility was a slight problem as I have a bad knee, but have to climb up and down the stairs to get to my room and out.

I loved the hotel, it was like a maze with fun locations at each turn - the pub, resteraunt, garden bar, pool and gym. The location was amazing, one of the best playgrounds we've been to at the castle. Mcdonald opposite - kids were very happy. Shops close by for anything we'd forgotten - ideal. We will be back!

The breakfast wasn't the best, but there were plenty of options, and it was still okay. I had to go out to get a decent coffee. The staff were great tho. They warmed the pancakes up for the kids, which was great. Oh and the kettle in the bedroom was positioned in a place where the plug wouldn't fit (because it was low down at the desk and had no room for the wire below plug). And because of this the kettle had clearly not been used for a long time, it was slimey and gross inside. I gave it a good wash and moved the kettle to beside the bed but I was still put off at this point because I had none of my usual cleaning things (obviously). I'm sure if I had made them aware they would have changed it, they were very good.

Lovely hotel, great location in mallow main St. with a handy car park at rear, free for guests, we really enjoyed our stay, rooms are nice and bed was so comfy, staff and service good especially Adam in the bar, we didn't have breakfast but bar food was superb, live trad music at night was brilliant too, they also have a lovely heated beer garden at the rear, separate pool area at rear, but we are land creatures so never use it, overall a great hotel to stay in and base for exploring Cork!!

Creaky floors and thin walls could hear other guests at night!!

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We wanted to check in early as we needed to get ready for a wedding and the staff went out of their way to facilitate us. The carvery was excellent.

Accessing the carpark from the hotel and visa versa. It was tricky and the signage was poor. Some of the staff weren't sure of how to navigate either.

A good location to stay as we needed to be close to RathMór . Reception staff very patient & helpful. Anyone of hotel staff meet you with a greeting & smile.

The evening meal was in main bar area but as we entered none of staff meet you to seat you with menu. I thought staff here could be more professional as food was great & what we ordered we got. The shower could be better.
