breakfast was cool, menu even changes slightly over the course of the 4 days i stayed, staffs at the entrance are quiet yet initiates to assist when they see the need arise.

requested for a room with sea view as that was my booking, however, the room i got had alot of bird defecates on the window, had a hard time actually taking good photos of the view without climbing up the chair for an area of the window that was cleaner..

Please was clean with few project coming up. Will be exciting once the projects are completed.

The power socket has issues. We have problem charging our phones. The internet is not strong enough.

I love all the facilities the staff was so.good, all good and nice answer inquiries and request perfectly. My family love it

Need to hire more staff at health club. Me and my sister had bad experience male visitor trespassing the female sauna when its a FEMALE SPA FACILITIES. we are shock a man suddenly enter the sauna room when both of us was in there. Thankfully the hotel male staff realise and chase him out. Please hire more staff to guard the female facilities cuz it is dangerous if the female guests was using the facility alone...

Gurney Bay under Park Royal Hoel management is the best hotel we have stayed in Penang. Everything in the room is refreshed everyday. From towels, bottles of water, bed sheets even fresh daily apples. These small touches made our stay restful and enjoyable after my wife was discharged from hospital and need the extra time to recover from her medical event. The staff from reception to the doorman were courteous and helpful We could not ask for more.

The stench outside of the hotel that came from a drain between the hotel and the new Green Bay Park. I suggest that the hotel management should alert the Penang council of the sewage stench that really spoilt the seaside ambience. A simple flush of the drain should remove the stench.

The room is so nice and cozy, All of the utilities prepared and all are just perfect. The hotel location is also strategic and easy access to shops, malls and the park! Though I did not get the sea view room, I still think that my stay is more than just perfect. Major shout out to the hotel staffs, most that I have met are very friendly and helpful, especially Sir Badrol. Thank you for being so sincere in helping me load off my bags after check-out while my hands are occupied with my baby. Overall, I had a blast staying in this hotel

I personally think that the room interior can be upgraded to a more minimalist look and the carpet can be upgraded as well.

It is my experience that most hotels did not take the opportunity to upgrade or maintain their Hotel facilities during the Covid-19 shutdown. Evergreen Laurel is one of the exception. I must applaud the Hotel Owners and Hotel Management for doing a fine job taking good care of the Hotel. This is my favourite Hotel in Penang and coming back to the Hotel a few years later was a most pleasant experience. It reminds me of how well managed Evergreen Laurel Hotel is. Thank you to the Management and Staff. I salute all of you. I truly enjoyed my stay here. With a great location and an excellent team managing this Hotel... You guys are truly an amazing Hotel. Kudos to all of you.

Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to dine in any of the Hotel's Food and Beverage outlets. Hence, I am not able to comment on it.

To me, it is a very good rendition of a “text-book, really good 5-star hotel of the 90’s” and not necessarily the “ultra-modern” type that we are used to seeing nowadays. Love how they kept the hotel’s charm intact & just overall well-maintained..just by simply ensuring that everything is clean and maintenance is top-notch.

I am pretty sure that this thought are on the minds of some guests, particularly those who loves frequenting hotels..that it is the logo of the hotel..just doesn’t seem to exude that “sense of hospitality” or even “hallmarks of an excellent hospitality establishment”, that it truly is..but anyhow, that’s what i feel and it may probably not matter at all..or for all we know, the logo could be the secret to their success.

Majority of hotels in Malaysia offer breakfast as part of the room package but not here. Thankfully eating places are not far from the hotel. Check-in took too long - there was a young trainee at the desk. I was charged a higher price then what I had originally booked. Then at checkout I was informed that they had made a mistake and there was still a balance to pay. Despite protesting, the hotel still charged me for some additional RM30 when they could have easily absorbed the cost.

the place is close to the beach, 8 mn by taxi to reach city center ( Geroge town) , the room is big ( i've been upgraded ) , the hotel it's also next to a mall, which is easy to go to for shopping, with many stalls and food courts are nearby, and also night market . it's a quiet hotel and have many installations, such as gym and a swimming pool ( the pool could be a little bit more clean ) in general, it's nice, and comfy to stay. The staff are super nice and very helpful

Friendly staff; I go back to the same hotel whenever in Penang. I know most of the staff and we always get treated very nicely.

Post- pandemic, likely by necessity, catering seems more in tune for the locals; hence the breakfast choices became a bit limited. Nevertheless, even with limited range, still good value for money.
