The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I was able to borrow a transformer (I traveled from the UK) to charge my phone. The bedroom was of adequate size and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. I also appreciated their storing my luggage for the day while I explored the city. The location is central, lots of restaurants and churches in the vacinity. Also a large bookstore near by, with a great selection of books printed in English. I had finished my book and was looking for more reading material!!

The stairs up to the hotel are very steep and the entrance location is a bit confusing to someone not accustomed to Italian cities. That really was the only drawback that I experienced

This quirky little hotel is in a 500 year old building and each room is decorated in the theme of an artist. We had the Michaelangelo room and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of space for us and we liked the provided breakfast. It was easy walking distance to see Michaelangelo's David, the Uffizi Gallery and the centre of town. It was also an easy walk from the train station. There were lots of places to eat nearby and also a laundromat (staying on top of the washing becomes of great interest when you travel with children for six weeks!).

It's Europe, and a 500 year old building so expect stairs. We found the entrance a little hard to find (although it was pouring rain, so that made it more difficult).

Location, location, location. It was perfect. Also around the corner, (up more stairs!), was a self service cafe. 3 courses, drinks for 4 under 50 Euros! It was so easy to get to the station, the Duomo and everywhere else. It fitted all 4 of us and we had a bathroom.

So many many stairs but the location and staff made up for that. The decor was a little tired and an acquired taste, walls a bit thin but I would happily stay again.

The location is superb, the host is very helpful, met us at the hotel, explained everything we needed to know and the stay was fine with a small but good breakfast. The room was very unusual in the style which is very interesting.

The bathroom is for sure too small but it is not a huge problem and obviously the house is quite ancient so this is a chance to see how it was earlier.

Basic but comfortable accommodation, very small washroom but good shower. Quirky room - amazing to fit everything in. Helpful staff who organised earlier breakfast to fit in with early online museum visit- heated rolls/ croissants were very filling.

Good to be away from the traffic noise as not on ground floor but knew before we booked that this meant a few steps to climb to get to our accommodation. ( Good practise for the sightseeing to The Duomo)

Breakfast was lovely (nothing fancy, some bread, cheese, coffee and juice) and the lady who owns the hotel went as far as to knock on our door to make sure we didn’t miss it on our last day. They were all very nice!

I needed a warning that we were to pay in cash because I had not taken out the money prior to and needed to run to an atm.

Could not have asked for a better location. Right in the middle of everything, short walk to all sites. Comfortable bed with great Air Con. Super friendly Staff. Super Simple yet good breakfast.

Only thing I didn’t like was the Toilet/Shower setup, this is quite normal in Italy to not be great in this field. Water would spill out into the bathroom from shower.

The room was very interesting, very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was ok.

You have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the reception, but this isn't mentioned anywhere. Even though the bathroom is really clean, there is this weird smell when you flush. At the end of the stay, the city tax has to be paid, and only cash is accepted, but it's not mentioned anywhere beforehand, so make sure you have cash on you.

The host was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. We loved the baroque style room. It was quiet despite we had street view. :) The hotel is 3 mins walk from the Cathedral.

The shower cabin is very small, even for thin people. And overall the bathroom would need some renovation. We were there in the end of March and the room was pretty cold.

The hotel is located right in the center of the historic city, a few hundred meters from the main sights. The staff is very nice. Good price/quality ratio.

The bathroom is not spacious. The breakfast is tasty, but not very varied.
