The location overlooking Capri and the sunset over the island was magical. The room with a terrace really overlooks the sea, the other room, while being slightly bigger does have a view on the sea, but not on Capri. Lucia is a very kind host, and a treasure trove of knowledge of the area; well worth doing what she proposes. The breakfast is very copious, keeps you going pretty much until dinner. The croissants and brioches especially are very good. Many sights, beaches and hiking possibilities are easily accessible from the property, at least at the beginning of November.

As mentioned by others: parking is not easy for a bigger car. With our Fiat 500 we just squeezed into a space beside the road, larger cars will likely be sticking out a bit. Having said that: although the road is bendy and people drive fast on it, at least the locals know how to drive, so the risk to your car is not great.

This is by far the best accommodation we stayed in on a 2 week trip around Naples and Amalfi Coast areas. Lucia was a warm and welcoming host and made us feel right at home. The room is located on the 2nd floor of Lucia's home, however we had full privacy in the room, key access and were able to enjoy both the private deck attached to the room as well as Lucia's large property anytime. Lucia operates a large-scale kicten beside the house which is where we were provided with a huge and delicious every morning. Conisdering a huge daily breakfast is provided, the price we paid was incredible value and worth every cent (€600 for 4 nights). We were the only people there aside from the many cats and dogs which made for a private and fun trip. There is a bus stop 50 metres down the road and costs less than €2 to get to Sorrento in about 10-15 minutes. For this reason, it is a great location for a private stay while also be close to Sorrento and walking distance to the closest beach. We would come back in a heartbeat!

The stay at Villa Lorelei was beyond expectations after the fantastic reviews that we read. It was a great base to explore the area, with good bus route links and a nearby trail to the nearest beach. Lucia, herself, was warm and welcoming. On arrival, we had lunch and wine, before recommending local places to visit. We always felt like we were part of a family home and the pets were an absolute bonus. Breakfast was prepared wonderfully and the views of Capri from her beautiful kitchen were a highlight. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Thank you Lucia, family and doggies!

A relaxing place to get away from tourists in Sorrento. Mama Lucia was very, very accommodating. The property was perfect for our trip. Fabulous eating- cooking space. One must take her cooking classes- a very fun evening had by all!! Staff was excellent. Morning breakfast was fresh and amazing.

Location is a bit tricky because it is right off a very tight roadway with buses, motorcycles, cars whizzing by.

We had a private balcony with a stupendous view. The room was attended to every day ( bed was made, bathroom cleaned). The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, varied and very generous. They have two sweet dogs and the mother cat had a litter of cats that were 2 months old.

It is very close to a wonderful but pricey restaurant. Otherwise you need a car or be willing to walk on that one very narrow road to get to Massa Lubrense centro, which for us was not an option after dark.

We had an excellent stay. Lucia is a wonderful person and host, we immediately felt like at home. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious. The sunset view is amazing. The villa is conveniently located, close to a bus stop and a very good restaurant just one minute walking distance.

Lucia and staff are so warm and welcoming providing you with everything you need and then some! Any question we had was answered immediately from recommendations to ironing(full service) to travel inquiries.

This is like a home stay with a twist, Lucia runs a cooking school and has a couple of rooms for accommodation. Lucia is a very warm generous individual who goes out of her way to connect and share her life with you. it’s rare to find accommodation with so much heart & soul. We stayed two days and while we were there she had a pizza cooking class, we were invited to socialise and enjoy some of the pizza. it was a lovely experience and a great way to meet others. The location is a short bus ride out of Sorrento, the bus stops 20mtr from the Villa. There is a good restaurant - 2 min walk down the road and the area has a local beach and cafe restaurants down the hill which you can walk to for a slice of local life. if you want a flashy hotel this is not for you but if you want to experience a slice of Italian life, then it’s a gem!

I stayed at Mamy Lucia's place as I had a wedding nearby. I cannot speak highly enough of Mamy Lucia and her place in Villa Lorelei. She gave me the warmest welcome on arrival and made me feel at home right from the start. The kitchen/dining area is beautiful. I loved it so much, I decided to take one of Mamy Lucia's cooking classes. We made Ravioli, Calzone, Calamari and more all from scratch. She also has two beautiful dogs who are so friendly and playful. I spent a fair bit of time relaxing on the grass and playing fetch with Toto. She gave very clear instructions on how to reach her place for from Sorrento and helped me out of a few difficult situations. One of the best travelling experiences I have had to date, I loved every minute of it.

we’ve had the most amazing stay at Lucia’s house, the property is beautiful with her own garden and huge kitchen where you will be served with home made delicious breakfast. Lucia is a great host that will make you feel at home and most welcome and will give you all the tips to visit nearby beaches and sightsee. The rooms are charming and very clean with all the necessary amenities and AC. when you’re there make sure to ask Lucia for her cooking class to learn the secrets of traditional Italian cooking. We will definitely be back there next time!
