Not far from Central Station, metro stop and trams/bus is also close by. The room was clean but very small (yes I booked a single) it looked like a student accommodation Breakfast was good offering plenty of option including fresh fruits. The staff was always very kind and helpful. There is also a small gym - perfect for my morning work out.

Big room and very big well appointed bathroom. Very comfortable and quiet room. We were only there 1 night, but it would be very good for a longer stay. The metro was just down the street and only 3 stops to the Duomo. Also down the street was great shopping. We found an excellent restaurant too - Gustin. So good! It was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel.

The air conditioner was old and noisy. Luckily, we didn't need to use it much. The neighbourhood is so-so. It looks iffy during the day with lots of graffiti around, but all the cafes and pubs open in the evening and the streets come alive and are more inviting. We never felt unsafe, just were disappointed in the graffiti.

Room was clean and comfortable, bar very pleasant, and it was great to have the garden to relax in with a drink. Staff were very helpful - they found us a room that was ready when when we arrived early, kept our luggage on our last day etc. Easy walk from Centrale station and very convenient for the centre, with a tram stop just around the corner.

We were pleasantly surprised; much better than expected. We actually chose the hotel primarily based on the price and didn't have high expectations. But the Sanpi is a nice mid-range hotel in a convenient location; everything is in good condition and the rooms are sufficiently large (for ancient european cities). There's a lovely courtyard, and the staff speaks english. There are many bars and restaurants nearby, yet it's not too noisy. Milan is a very compact city, so the location is by no means as remote as it appears on the map. In good weather, you can get anywhere quickly by bike (bikeMi); but there are also trams, subways, and regional trains (for day trips) within walking distance. . We didn't try the breakfast or the restaurant as there are plenty of alternatives in the area.

We would absolutely recommend this hotel, and would stay again. The Hotel Sanpi Milano is well situated, just a short walk from the Metro (subway) and a short taxi ride from Central Train Station is well situated. The staff are very friendly and helpful with maps and directions and assistance with public transport. We arrived early and were able to store our bags quickly and then walked to the Duomo. The hotel hallways and rooms appear to have been recently renovated. The rooms were clean with its own desk and bathroom, which appeared newly renovated. appointed. We had a room that looked over the courtyard and although we looked into neighbouring buildings we could see the sky - a lovely outlook. The hotel had a lift which was good and it like most Italian hotels it was small 3 people max, 2 with luggage. Breakfast was held in the hotel restaurant which is a very stylish area off the lobby. the food was delicious. There are lost of cafes and convenience stores nearby, and a McDonalds near the Metro. There is a great full service laundromat nearby where you can leave your washing and the lady will ensure it gets washed and dried by the time you return.

We travelled with big luggage and like most Italian Hotels there could be more storage space. Like most Italian Hotels the shower is small to make space for the bidet.

For a first time trip to Milan, I was trying to find a location that was close, but not where it would be too noisy and busy. Hotel Sanpi is in a neighborhood that has a number of restaurants and bars that are either a short distance or even across the street. Being just north of the Public Gardens, it was nice to walk past or through to get to the other areas for shopping or sightseeing. There was a Metro stop and a Hop on bus route just down the street as well. Nearly all our meals were in this area. The room had enough space, had towels replaced daily and had ample amenities. The robes were a nice touch. The rooms were quiet. The front desk is manned all the time and the whole staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby has a small restaurant and bar with really pretty outdoor seating if you want. I thought the breakfast options were a big step above, just a continental breakfast with a lot of pastries, drinks and hot foods. Plus friendly staffing there as well. Not all places will have elevators but Sanpi did and even had a fitness area. I’d certainly stay here again and thanks for making it a great place to stay.

It was about over a mile to Duomo, if you want to walk, but the fashion district was a nice, shorter walk. If the weather was adverse just make sure to pack a jacket or umbrella. You are about a mile away from the train station, so just check your options if you have to taxi or want to take the train back to the airport. Which pretty much would be anywhere.

We didn’t experience the breakfast as we had early morning trips. The room was very pretty and the breakfast looked good and fresh each day. The room was very pleasant to sit in . They had an outside garden which was beautiful and relaxing to end the day. We also requested a balcony which we got so it was lovely sitting outside. The trams are so close by along with a supermarket and a cafe .

I have no negatives for the hotel at all. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate along with the hotel. Only downside was the dustmen one morning at 7 which to be honest if that’s my only complaint it sums up our stay as being great.

Comfortable room in a hotel w/lovely bar/lobby seating and a courtyard. The room provided all needed amenities ,as well as 2 chairs and space for luggage. The hotel is a quick walk from Milans Central Station,and offers an earlier checkin than most-very welcome after an overnight flight. We enjoyed the lobby/bar/breakfast room space,both for a cocktail before heading out to dinner,and a full breakfast . There are multiple close good restaurants,and an easy walk to the Metro into central Milan. Really an excellent choice at a good value. And the staff were so kind and helpful!

The hotel worked on all levels for is,no complaints.

Hotel Sanpi is situated outside of the city centre however this is not a problem as the Metro and trams are within easy walking distance. The central station is a bit further but also still in walking distance. Our room overlooked the road but its a quiet street and no traffic noise. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable, perfect for a city break. The hotel doesn't serve evening meals but there are plenty of restaurants locally. Breakfast was continental with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and lots of other bits. There was also a small selection of hot food such as scrambled eggs. There is a bar open in the evening for drinks and cocktails and it was nice to sit and have a pre dinner drink in the outside courtyard area. However what is really makes this hotel exceptional is the staff, they were friendly, extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all I highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again

We liked everything

Very nice breakfast buffet (as long as you don’t get there late and the eggs are cold). Good pastries. For folks who love coffees, they serve everything. Good bar for later in the day. My room was good size and very comfortable. Pleasant decorations. Too cold to enjoy the outside patio area with beautiful flowers. Close to the Metro and easy walking to Central Station. Loads of restaurants nearby of all sorts. Looks to be recently remodeled - new paint, very clean and very nice carpeting.

Noisy! I had a room facing the street giving me a nice view. However, this is a very packed urban area and it is noisy. A bar across the street didn’t seem to close until 5am and then they still were out whooping it up after that. The folks at the desk were very kind to move me to another room - that one had a balcony and was very quiet. If you are used to a quiet environment, take that into consideration. Other than that, a very nice stay in a very beautiful city.
