It was fabulous! You need to remember that this is a b&b, not a hotel - if you need a hotel's 24/7 facilities and staffing, stay in a hotel, but if you want somewhere with real Sicilian character where you meet the owners and can communicate directly with them (using Google Translate), this is for you. We were in room Cattedrale, which was very spacious and with an excellent end section of the wonderful terrace - beautiful plants, table and chairs and amazing views of the harbour (cruise ships), the hills and the rooftops. The rooms overlook a side street with a couple of restaurants and which is closed to traffic, so are reasonably quiet for a large city. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The fridge was very welcome as was the bottle of water in it. The aircon, even in mid-September, was just what was needed, and could be turned on or off and adjusted to suit. The private bathroom (yes, it's across the corridor - you will get used to it) was extremely clean, and there was always lots of hot water. I have never stayed anywhere with such huge bath towels - a real luxury! We were very grateful for the kind attention of Julia and her daughter in supplying a range of gluten-free items for my daughter for breakfast. Breakfast is soft, Sicilian pastries, yoghurt and cereal in a small but pleasant room - and you can sometimes eat on the terrace. The B&B is well located on Via Roma - an interesting 10/15 or so minute walk from the touristy area - you can hop on a bus (buy tickets from tobacconists) if you like, but there were lots of excellent restaurants within 2-5 minutes' walk. All-in-all an excellent choice, and we very much hope to return.

Nothing - it was wonderful! My only suggestion would be some cushions for the chairs on the terrace, a kettle (there was one in the breakfast room - maybe that can be used - we brought our own) and a little more shelf space for clothes in the bedroom - we were here for a week. Also, and this is outside the control of the B&B Al Passio, you are on the 7th floor, and you might find the lifts (there are two) a bit small - but they were fine when you got used to them.

Together with my girlfriend we had a wanderfull stay there. Our room was on the 8th floor in a building situated very close to Palermo center. It was extremely clean with a very comfortable double bad and a terrace with a terrific view over a big part of Palermo and a cozy pedestrian street below full of restaurants. Marvelous Italian breakfast took place on another terrace where all guests had access. Here, the view on Palermo center and close mountains was absolutely gorgeous. The hosts were very helpful and polite. We strongly recommend this charming place to everyone who wants to feel the beauty and the atmosphere of Palermo.

There wasn't such thing.

The host were incredibly welcoming and given our flight was delayed and we arrived at 1am, they were so friendly. They have a restaurant that makes wine that we enjoyed and the view at night or day from any if the balcony's of the 3 rooms we had were great. When we visit again, we will absolutely stay here. The location was perfect, and could not be better. My husband and I were with his 60-70 yr old parents and we walked everywhere, even at night and it was a reasonable distance and felt safe. While someone in our party was fluent in Italian, communicating in English was no problem. Lastly, they have Italian and American coffee, breakfast is fresh sweet or savory pastries - very good. Stay here, you will be pleased!

Big terrace and warm and welcoming host made our stay really enjoyable. Breakfast, some mornings on the terrace, was very good.

Maybe a light bathrobe could be a good idea to have because bathroom was not in the room, even though it was private. The bathroom itself was spacious and comfortable.

Central location, just a few minutes from the main attractions. Our room had a balcony with a view to Monte Pellegrino, which we enjoyed very much. Easy check-in, even though we arrived late at night the owner was waiting for us at the property!

The bathroom is outside the room and when other guests were going there it was quite noisy because of door opening / closing.

Great location in the center of Palermo. Julia was very nice and accommodating. I was a bit skeptic at first regarding the bathroom being in the hall, but it was no problem at all.

I would have liked some regular bread, butter and cheese for breakfast. It was a little too sweet for my taste. Both Via Roma and Via E. Amari are busy and noisy streets, meaning that if your are a light sleeper (like me) I would recommend earplugs.

We spent 3 days in Palermo and we couldn’t be happier with our hotel choice! the hotel is located in downtown, on the top floor of a building with an elevator. everything is extremely clean, rooms are spacious and the bed is super comfortable. we also had our own balcony with a breathtaking view from Palermo! + the owner is extremely kind and helpful! highly recommended!!!

The apartment is just next to city center and shopping street. You get a nice view of the port and can see big ships from the balcony, which makes it to be perfect place to stay. Also you are greeted every morning by the property managers/care taker with fresh & nice Sicilian breakfast. I would like to stay again here

Beautiful and comfortable room with all necessary staff. Amazing terrace with fascinating view and beautiful plants and flowers. Lovely hostess, who always tries to please her guests. Perfect location.

Noisy key locks in toilet, you're trying to not disturb with it's sounds other guests. But it's nothing after all.

Location is wow, just a few minutes from the city center and in a very good neighborhood (Prada, LV just round the corner) 😃 The room was big and clean, balcony with the sunrise and we asked to have breakfast on the balcony which was approved so we enjoyed every minute of it. Tasty croissant’s and a lot of cappuccino. Thanks for everything

We liked everything, even the fact that toilets are outside the room didn’t change our opinion that we booked really amazing place
