We liked our stay here. This is historical old building, age of centuries, very atmospheric and with interesting architecture, the former monastery. Our room was spacious and airy, with high selling about 4m high and thick brick walls, faced the backyard with very beautiful view (see foto attached), quiet and warm, we even switched the heating regulator to the lowest level, because it was too warm for us. Beds were comfortable, wifi was good (2nd floor, 207 room), breakfast was basic but enough to start the day (ham, sausage, cheese, bread, croissans, 2 kind of pies, coffee, tea, juce, youghurts, butter, jam, etc). The highlight of this hotel is the rooftop terrace available 24/7 with very beautiful view on Rome, both in an evening and a day, see foto attached. Another highlight is location near the archeological area, very green and intreresting to discover, not typical touristic but the place where local people live and walking. Also Christian sacred places are nearby (Laterano basilica, The Holy steps, Baptisterio, Santa Croce in Jerusalemme basilica, etc). Colosseo, Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Prassede, San Clemente and San Pietro in Vincoli basilicas are in about 30 min walking. And staff was very friendly and kind. Thank you.

Nothing to complain

The location was fantastic - very central , right next to Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. There were many restaurants and coffee shops around as well as great public transport connections. The staff was very polite and friendly and helped us a lot with booking a cab as well as holding safe our luggage. The rooms were clean and daily service kept them neat. We loved the vibe of the old monastery as well as the architecture and its history. Its view from the terrace was amazing and the whole archaeological complex was magnificent. Comfy beds and desks and chairs as well as renovated bathrooms.

Breakfast was very poor for a 3* hotel. We were definitely expecting breakfast staples like: eggs, omelette, bacon, more fruit, muesli, different types of bread, sausages, some veggies etc. Just a note to management : if you fix your breakfast options and you include more European choices then it would be well worth it. Also, it was slightly cold in the room with temperature set by central heating which the system did not allow me to change.

The location was exceptional. The staff was incredibly responsive and attentive. They spoke enough English to make my stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was a real bonus. The attitude of the staff was so professional. I felt like I was staying at a very pricy place. This was an incredible value, and I am already planning my return here.

Nothing. There were mini-markets close by, restaurants were everywhere, and the buses, metro and taxis were so accessible.

Domus Sessoriana is a lovely hotel if you're looking for something non-pricy in the close-to-the-city-center but less touristy area of the city. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice and air-conditioned, and the bathroom even had a bidet! The rooftop terrace is to die for and sitting there at sunset was one of the highlights of our Rome trip.

The breakfasts were a bit lacking, but okay overall. The biggest complaints were the beds - the mattresses were very hard to sleep on, but we were too busy exploring the city to even notice to be honest!

It's a nice and safe place with friendly staff. There are many options nearby, such as a park, a bus station in front of the building, and a metro station about 10 minute walking away. And we were able to leave our baggage at the reception before the official check-in and after check-out - without any fee. Very much recommend.

The breakfast was alright, but if it was a little bit more versatile it would have been wonderful - The breakfast terrace was on the top of the building, it was really beautiful, the view was amazing.

Fantastic hotel. Felt like staying in a palace. The room had A/C which was a huge bonus. Staff were lovely. Very clean, great bathroom facilities. Great location.

We had one bad situation last day where a cleaner/staff during breakfast service got very angry and he was rude to us because the pigeons flew down to our table while we were taking a picture together. That was quite a poor experience in terms of customer service. I hope this customer service could be improved before staying again!

Facility inside the church and old monastry building. Amazing panoramic view of Rome from roof terrace. Pretty sufficient breakfasts. Room was cozy, and cleaned every day.

No wifi because of the old building I assume. Not all the outlets worked in the room but we didn't do anything about it. I think if we would have asked the staff would come and fixed it. Far away from the center, but its elemenates crowds, but when we learned how to use metro everything become easier. I should say that even without metro it took us only 20 min by foot to get to the Colleseum. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is located well with a Metro station in walking distance and also rather close to the Roma Termini. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable. The furnishing is a little bit old, ,but our rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. The rooftop terrace where breakfast is served offers a nice view over the city.

Breakfast was very basic and (due to COVID regulations) unfortunately there was no buffet offered. There is limited space on the terrace where breakfast is served so it may happen that you need to wait for a table to become free.

Close to metro and bus stop. Many good restaurants around. Quite and safe area. Decent breakfast on the beautiful roof terrace. Friendly and helpful stuff on reception. I don’t understand why some people give bad reviews, our stay was nice and pleasant, we would stay there again.

The cleaning lady never refill soap and shampoo. On the third day we complained to a guy on reception and he gave us everything.

Bags of historic atmosphere in a great location and friendly staff. It is a converted monastery adjacent to the historic church. Usual continental breakfast on a superb roof terrace. Comfortable rooms. Central location about 10 min to nearest metro. 25 min walk to Termini. Near parks.

A kettle would have been nice but then that's a British thing.
