Hotel Maalot is a total standout gem and my favorite hotel in Rome. Everything is impeccable, from the central location right by the Trevi fountain (which I love passing by and saying hello to every time I leave and return to the hotel!) to the gorgeous rooms with unparalleled design, and the outstanding hospitality where every team member truly goes above and beyond. Housekeeping was prompt, thoughtful, and seamless. Breakfast is a beautiful and attentive affair - and the F&B manager is so delightful and clearly has such passion for her work! It was a joy meeting every member of this incredible place, which feels more like a 2nd home to me than a "hotel". I love interior decor and design and so fully appreciate their decor which is beautiful and tasteful - modern with a nod to classic Italian styles. But what is truly unbeatable is the people - the entire team is so wonderful and helpful. I truly felt so taken care of and had an incredible seamless experience. I have been to Rome 5 times, and this was my 2nd stay at Maalot because they left such an impression the 1st time - and after this 2nd amazing return stay, they have sealed the deal and I will not be going anywhere else. They also wow'd my partner who I was so excited to introduce to the Maalot this time. I travel globally often and this is a very unique place. Of all the places we stayed all over Italy, this was #1. Special shout out and big thanks to Jonida the manager for taking extra good care of me - including an unexpected knockout deluxe room set aside for me, and snagging coveted sold out tickets to the Borghese Gallery! I can't wait to return again.

An oasis in the heart of the tourist district of Rome. In the frenzied Trevi fountain location, stepping into the lobby of the hotel, one is immediately transported to the luxurious calm of this special place. The interior design is stunning, creative, extravagant and full of whimsy. As an interior designer, I loved the design. The staff at the front desk are highly trained to ensure that your experience exceeds your expectations. The rooms at the back of the hotel are incredibly quiet, and the beds are the most comfortable I have experienced in any hotel, anywhere. A surprise for a country notorious for beds of the rock-hard variety. The complimentary minibar stocked with waters, juices and soda and bespoke snacks again make you feel taken care of in your home away from home. The housekeeping staff deserve their own 5 star review. I have never experienced anything like the housekeeping at this hotel. First, they are essentially invisible. Yet, out of nowhere, your room is refreshed to the state of check-in twice during the day. Once for the morning service, and again for turn-down. Simply put the "check-mark" sign on your door and that signals to the discreet staff that it is their time to shine. When you return to your room, you will be delighted. Aside from what you would expect from housekeeping service, you will also enjoy replenished minibar and snacks, replaced fresh towels (the softest, most absorbent!), bedside water and treat. Breakfast is not the usual Italian buffet, but instead, plates of chef created goodies and a brief menu of creative items are offered to enjoy with your delicious coffee of choice and fresh squeezed juices. Although the hotel is on a busy pedestrian street, we did enjoy the absolutely central location. You can walk anywhere in central Rome within 20 minutes of the hotel, so when going out for the day, it was easy to keep coming back to the hotel to drop shopping bags, or just take a break.

The Maalot hotel in the center of Rome is an absolute gem. I've been to many 5-star hotels, but this on stands out in so many ways. The hotel is situated perfectly for a weekend trip in the eternal city, allowing you to walk to all of the city's attractions. The attention to detail is extraordinary and service i second to none. You'll instantly feel "at home" and the hotel staff will try to make every wish come true! If you want to treat yourself to a luxury stay in Rome, look no further!

Given that the hotel is in "the middle of the action", you will hear some happy tourists and street-musicians. The hotel is very well noise insulated, but every now and then you will hear some sounds from outside. We didn't mind at all, but if you're looking for complete silence and quiet surroundings, this might not be your hotel. But if you, like we were, are looking to be close to just about everything the city has to offer, then this is your hotel for sure!

The moment we walked in, there was eye contact and a smile from the first staff member who greeted us. It felt sincere and all the staff ensured that we were comfortable at all times. The location is excellent. The rooms and hotel are tastefully decorated.

We could hear a bit of merrymaking from the streets late at night. However, we were well aware of where we were located so we actually did not dislike it. It is the heart of Rome after all. We also enjoyed being able to see the hustle and bustle from our room window.

This is such a cosy, beautiful, fashionable, neat boutique hotel at the heart of the city, 1 min walking distance to Fontana di Trevi, 9 minutes to Spanish steps. Staff was wonderful and so friendly, Laura, Fabrizio, Alessandara, Eleonara, we had concierge what app for restaurant reservations, great housekeeping services, clean good space gym for a boutique hotel with water and towel services, everyday water bottles ( glass so sustainable) in the room and a nespresso machine

Nothing at all! It is such a gem

The hotel was very comfortable and well staffed with a willingness to help well beyond our expectations. For example , after a long day of travel we were greeted with a very pleasant welcome service of tea and cake in the reception room.

The location is optional but because of it the area is crowded and noisy. Even with the double glazing of the windows the street artist that played for the crowds around the corner with an extremely loud speaker system made it through into our room and that was annoying. The hotel staff have called the police a few times but they always return. If you don't spend time in the room between 8 and 11 then this should not be a concern for you.

Absolute perfection! A stylish, welcoming, comfortable interior with attention to detail everywhere as soon as you walk in. The room itself was spacious, sunny, airy, and super pristine thanks to superior housekeeping. There were lots of nice little luxuries -- and nice turndown service and conscientious replenishment of the complimentary minibar. Great bed (super spotless) and small walk-in closet. But above all, it was the staff that made us feel so happy the whole time. We stayed six nights, and they delivered a superior level of service throughout -- they almost anticipated what we needed before we even realized it. The breakfast was delicious with abundant choice and outstanding service. And we had a nice dinner in the dining room one evening too. Staying here is worth every penny.

The staff is an outlier. Incredibly polite and always willing to help with any of your needs. The room is a good size room and the bed is very comfortable. Everything always very very clean. The gym is amazing with top tier equipment. The breakfast is also an upside with great multiple choices on the menu.

Since we walk a lot in Rome, I think that if it had a spa (like a sauna space or inside pool) to relax at the end of the day, it would be perfect!

Fantastic location very close tp Trevi fountain, clean and well-equipped rooms, excellent reception staff, agreed private airport transfers without any problems, offered welcome drink and water several times, helped with printing travel documents. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices.

There was nothing I did not like, it is important information that with cars cannot access the property (as in a limited or pedestrian street neither with taxis) but they contact you from the recepction with whatsapp message and come to pick you up where your driver can leave you nearby.

We were so happy we chose Maalot! The hotel is gorgeous and artistic. I especially loved the cocktail bar. The restaurant, including the complimentary breakfast, was one of the best I’ve tried in Rome. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Quality of hotel and staff for the price cannot be beat.

Due to being so close to Trevi, foot traffic just outside the door can be quite hectic, but that’s what you sign up for when choosing this location.
