The lovely staff and amazing quality of room with exceptional bathroom, bed, coffee maker. Had a nice little terrace within our room (although not with any kind of nice view, just look out to the roof) as well as larger shared terrace (again not with a view but still nice). Enjoyed being close to the brilliant restaurants in Testaccio, being close to the river Tiber and only 30 mins walk to a lot of attractions.

It was very noisy, both from the neighbouring street and internally. With the walls and door being quite thin you can hear the buzzer at reception very loudly as well as when guests walk through the corridor. The other issue was the air conditioning - we were so hot in the night but couldn’t turn it on. We asked reception and apparently the heating is centrally controlled by the building so we couldn’t change anything. This combined with the noise meant we slept pretty terribly.

This hotel is located in a really great area if you're looking to be away from the crowdedness of Rome central but love to have the buzz of good restaurants and bars around. I really liked this area a lot, it felt safe and the area of the hotel also felt safe. Inside: the bed is comfy, nice decor and a great bathroom. I stayed here alone for 3 nights and had a great time.

I found the experience with having to use Sonder's own digital platforms (website or app) for checking in very tedious and annoying. I don't understand why they made it so difficult and if you are on the go it is very inaccessible. I really didn't understand why it was necessary as you already have to fill in so much information on booking.com -- another thing is that this hotel is basically just one really long corridor, which means that if you're on the side between reception (in the middle) and elevator (front) you will have some noise complaints if you go to bed early or get up late. It wasn't too bad but maybe nice to know // nicer to stay in the back.

The hotel is super nice. Very clean, spacy big room with nice bathroom and a nice big balcony. Plus are the electric shutters, the self check-in and the padlocks (no need for access card or key). Testaccio is a very nice neighborhood if you want to experience Rome as a local.

The location is perfect if you want to experience a local vibe of Rome, but transport to the city center is not easy at all. The breakfast options and variety could be better.

It was located in a neighbourhood with all local people not a lot of tourists. This hotel was very new so everything was fresh! Very well located to transit and sites. 15 min walk to Travestere.

We needed one more night later in the month on our way back to Canada but as the staff was so new, when I asked to book it direct at the hotel, the girl didn’t know how to do it. When I went to book on line for the one night, it was 3X’s as much so we booked elsewhere.

This was my second stay at the property. This time, I was assigned unit #11, which is located right by the entrance hallway. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to the building's poor soundproofing. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection in this room was weak, a problem I did not encounter during my previous stay in a different unit.

I was working at FAO, and could walk easily from the hotel to Circo Massimo, but if you want public transport, there's a tram and bus stop on the main road, Marmorata, about 10 minutes walk away. The local Testaccio district is full of excellent restaurants, one literally just across the road. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the room quiet and efficiently air-conditioned, spacious with a huge bed and excellent shower. It also has a small and pleasant terrace (although the temperature, in the mid-thirties, meant I didn't use it). Large containers of very good shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are provided in the room. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always available. They were happy to call taxis and make restaurant reservations. Breakfast was delicious, and having chilled water available on tap in the breakfast room 24 hours a day is a real bonus, especially in Rome in late July!

A minor thing, but the touch-screen air conditioning unit has a very bright light once all the other lights are off. I had a sunhat with me that came in very useful as an efficient temporary shade. But if a small hinged wooden panel could be added to the unit to mute the light at night, then the room would be completely 100% perfect.

We did not have breakfast included in our booking but I did have breakfast a couple of times. There was a good choice for 15 euros and it was easy to book through reception. We did extend our 5 night stay by an extra 2 nights but could not have the same room as it had been booked. This was not a problem as we could leave our luggage in the lockers as we was heading out for the day.

We did prefer the first room we was in at the front of the hotel even though it was noisier as the balcony was overlooking the street. The second room was nice but you are overlooking the roof, there is no view as you are at the back of the hotel.

I needed a hotel for one night before flying out and chose Sonder due to its location and reviews. I was staying in a nice 2 bedroom Airbnb prior. They were more than accommodating. They had my room ready early, were informative, very kind and the room had a balcony to sit on and people watch. Very clean, spacious rooms with high ceilings and VERY secure. I will definitely be back!! All the staff were more than helpful! You won’t be disappointed. Very close to affordable restaurants (I recommend Ar Monte in Testaccio 2 blocks away) and walking distance to the colosseum, circus Maximus and more.

I liked EVERYTHING!

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh foods, savory and sweet. Coffee of all types available in an instant from the machine. The water station was so handy, even offering sparkling water on tap! It was great to have the balcony in our room (really a private patio on the roof), though we didn't sit there (too hot that week); we hung our laundry and it was dry in no time :)). The neighborhood was full of restaurants and things to look at; it was busy day and night, but we found the room amazingly quiet. Great friendly staff, all English-speaking.

The hotel was nice and fresh, comfortable room (though hard bed but that has been the same for all our hotels in Italy). We had a slight problem at check in as the code for the building doesnt work before check in at 16:00, but the staff solved this quickly and we got an early check in. The staff in general was very friendly and professional! There to help 24/7 and tried to help with all they could. Thank you!

The location is both ”bad” and good: It is quite far from city center and not so close to subway or trainstation especially in the summer heat - so we relied alot on buses but that can be hard in Rome - i recommend to read up on this! This being Said the hotel is still within walking distance to train and bus, it is also right next to Testaccio Market - I Highly recommend a visit!
