Hotel Pace is the perfect location right in the heart of Sirmione. The hotel is located in the pedestrian area of the city, within walking distance of all the beaches, attractions, restaurants and shops. This makes it necessary to park far from the hotel, but the shuttle service offered was convenient and the driver was very cool. Overall everything was super!
As we had to leave half an hour before breakfast, we asked for something to be prepared in advance, but nothing was offered. It's not a big problem, but it would definitely show a good attitude towards the guests - even a cup of coffee to send them off.

The location was perfect - Sirmione is a beautiful peninsula and therefore attracts a lot of tourists, but the Hotel Pace is quiet whilst being only 4 minutes' walk from where the shuttle bus drops you off (it's easy to get to by bus from the main bus station in Verona), 3 minutes from the ferry terminal, and 3 minutes from the Terme di Sirmione spa. Breaksfast was excellent, and the restaurant was good (mostly Italian tourist fare but well cooked and presented), with superb views of sunsets across the lake from the deck. In addition to visits to the spa (which was also excellent), there is the castle to visit and the grottoes of Catullus (a Roman villa - do also take a ferry to the villa at Desanzano if you like Roman ruins) as well as boat trips on the lake and various walks around the peninsula. I had a lovely room (sort of shabby chic) with a fridge, which was useful, the bathroom, whilst not luxurious, was spotlessly clean and there were fresh towels daily. I had a beautiful balcony and superb views of the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly and will definitely be booking it again.
The only improvement I could think of would be to have a small safe in the room - otherwise, everything was perfect.

We had an amazing time in Sirmione and that is due in large part to Hotel Pace. When I say the location is amazing it is not an exaggeration. Sirmione is such a beautiful little lakeside town, and to wake up in the morning right in the heart of the historic centre was such a joy. Breakfast each morning and drinks in the evening in Hotel Pace's restaurant on the lakefront was heaven. A lot of the hotels in Sirmione are outside of the "Centro Storico", and more of a walk down the main road towards the motorway, but Hotel Pace is right in the heart of the history. The staff in the hotel could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. From Thomas the concierge right the way through to all the waiters in the restaurant and cleaning staff, everyone was a pleasure for the entirety of our stay.
Some of the facilities in the room could be updated- the single bed wasn't fantastically comfy (understandable) and the doorknob on our balcony door was loose.

We needed a late check in as our flight was delayed, we didn't check in until 2am which was excellent, however there is a late check in fee of 60€ so bare that in mind. We had a room with a balcony and view of the lake which was stunning, the restaurant for breakfast is on the pier overlooking the lake which was stunning. Location is 10/10, smack bang in the middle of Sirmione. The rooms were immaculately clean and cleaned daily.
The wait staff were OK, one woman was excellent and very polite, and the man who checked us in went above and beyond, there was one man who was rude and abrupt and often forgot our coffee order in the mornings, and then proceeded to get frustrated if you asked for it a second time. Other than that every thing else was exceptional! Would return to hotel Pace again.

Nice room. Friendly safe. Great lake view which I did ask for in my notes. Restaurant on pier was gorgeous to watch sunset. Waiters really great too.
Parking horrendous. Charge Euro15 for parking when you can park closer with no need for shuttle in large private csrpark just outside castle for Euro6 per night. DO NOT PARK IN STREET is my best advice. Hourly rates don't cap so you will end up paying a fortune plus you need to move the car every 8 hours. Use the large carpark with the barriers about 500m from the castle. (Its a huge carpark so don't miss it!). Don't drive into the castle; we did and got in a bit of trouble.

The view is AMAZING. Absolutely to die for. I also liked that they had a solution for parking that did not cost a fortune :) Overall the restaurant staff was not amazing, with the exception of a guy on our last night who sold us a bottle of wine and was ok with us staying in the terrace enjoying it even though the restaurant was closing (we are a family of 5 between 30 and 70yo, of course we left everything perfectly tidy afterwards). On the previous days, when we asked "ok but we want to stay talking later and there is no common area, what do you suggest?" they just shrugged.
Too little power outlets in the room, we would arrive to breakfast 30min before it finished and have close to no food options (e.g., eggs were gone, often no more bread,...). When asked about it, staff would shrug. Overall, the restaurant staff was not amazing. The place works both as a restaurant & hotel and everyone was clearly more focused on the restaurant part of the business.

It’s situated right in Old Town Sirmione which is adorable! Like living in a charming little village with gorgeous Lake Garda, ducks, boats as the backdrop. The stay included breakfast each day which was fabulous! Lots of variety, we’d be full until dinner time. Pizzas from the hotel were great, my husband ate at least one a day! They also make a great Hugo cocktail. Staff were all friendly, the Moroccan cleaning ladies we chatted to most days were so beautiful, accomodating and friendly!
Just a personal preference, the mattress was very soft which my lower back doesn’t like, also not great wifi.

Beautiful lake view from my room and wonderful balcony. Location is inside the castle area, and restaurant is downstairs and offer good food with attractive price. You need to park your car at hotel villa pioppi, and they will arrange shuttle service with a compact car. Walking to hotel Pace from where shuttle car drop you is only few hundred meters. I definitely will choose this hotel next time when we visit Sirmione !
The air conditioning was not working during the midnight because the temperature was too warm. So I opened the door to get some cold air in the room. However, in the morning, I found many bees in the shower room and one of bees even bite me on my ear! It was so painful. Besides this, everything is good

The location is amazing. Right in the centre, with the pier off into the lake. Staff were really friendly and recognized us quickly and knew our usual order. They booked us a taxi on the last day, which was much cheaper than booking it independently, (80 Euro to verona). They let us keep the luggage in the hotel and relax on the sun loungers all day while we waited for our taxi. You can swim off the pier - everyone is around eating but there is a separate walk way down to the end and a spot to sit and ladders down. The food was really nice and well priced, virgin mojitos were delicious! We felt we were treated so well, the staff were subtly very attentive, but not over the top. No one else really used the sun loungers so we had this to our selves and then would stroll over to eat on the pier. It was very relaxing. The water was lovely too!
The beds were quite hard - but we were given 2 duvets and put one down on the mattress. The receptionist also gave us an extra pillow when we requested it. We had a lake view room, which meant it was quite loud when the kitchen was clearing up as its aty the front of the hotel, but it really wasnt that bad. The room is really cosy but basic.

The lake view balcony though small was lovely, at breakfast they had a wide range of food on offer and you could choose to sit inside or outside. The restaurant, although a little more pricey than some others around, was lovely. Sirmione was a wonderful place to visit and the hotel is in the old town, a lot of the others we had looked at were not. Well worth a visit. Cleaners were in daily to change beds and empty bins.
The room we had was not one we had seen in the pictures, it was a little basic. The double bed was very firm and only one pillow each. There is no tea/coffee tray and no cups or glasses in room so had to buy plastic bottles of water from local venders. Only one hot drink per person was offered at breakfast also.
