This was a great location, within easy reach of the Rialto and St Mark's Square, at a good price. Breakfast was available for €10 per person, which I don't remember seeing advertised, but having a fridge in the room was great, meaning we could get our own supplies and save a bit of money. (There is no cutlery though, not even stirring sticks for your tea/coffee, so bring your own!) As other reviewers have said, the man on the front desk was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is not luxurious, but good value for the money in this very expensive city.

The rooms are up a long, steep flight of stairs (3rd floor), which we were informed of, but after crossing so many bridges with our luggage, they were quite daunting! The room was an odd mix of basic (no cutlery, even for stirring tea, no milk/creamer, no bath plug (though this was supplied when we asked), only one bedside lamp), and well-equipped (fridge, bath, bidet, nice wardrobe). I found the mattress a bit firm (my husband liked it), and the TV struggled to tune to many channels. A good, basic place to explore the city from. Note: the owners have a dog who is usually around during the day. He ran into our room as we were going out one morning. Something to be aware of if dogs bother you.

The family that run the hotel are fantastic people. We completed nearly every recommendation. The location was amazing with only a 4 minute walk to st marks square. Easy to get to by water bus from the train station stopping at Rialto bridge and a 10 minute walk from there. You don’t need tickets, you can just tap on with your credit card or buy a pass valid for length of stay. We went everywhere on the waterbus! We had the breakfast one morning for 10 euro and it was delicious! I highly recommend it! The property was spotless clean.

The room we were in was quite small but it was sufficient and isn’t really a negative as we expect that in Europe especially in the old towns. We also could have booked a family suite for a bit more space. Make sure you order cicchetti and the local special of baccala.

We spent 3 nights at this lovely place and had an amazing experience. The hosts were extremely kind, understanding, and always available to help us. They provided us with a map of Venice, great recommendations for places to visit, and even suggested excellent local restaurants where we could enjoy traditional dishes. The room was very clean and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

The only small downside was the number of stairs to climb, which might be a challenge for some guests. However, it didn't affect our overall experience!

Cozy, family-run boutique hotel in a quiet corner just off the lively Santa Maria Formosa square. Central but peaceful. Rooms are romantic, with classic Venetian charm, you'll want to linger in the morning, especially with the scent of fresh pastries and homemade cakes drifting from the dining room next door. The owners are warm and welcoming, happy to share tips for exploring the city. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance, making this gem a great value in a city that steals your breath at every turn.

3-night stay wasn't enough!

When we arrived at the hotel our room was ready already even though we were very early. Jada was so friendly to receive us and gave us lots of insider tips on what to do and see in Venice, getting off the beaten track. All the team were very approachable and nice. We did not have breakfast but it looked nice, we were just too full still from dinner the night before. The location is great, just 8 min walk to Piazza San Marco. Would definitely recommend.

Just a minor issue, the mosquito netting on the smaller windows was broken and let in some during the night.

Staff were amazing, extremely helpful with tourist attractions and gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat. Loved that the place is family run as it seems like they do care about your visit. Room was very nice with an old Venetian style just like the photos and the location was extremely convenient with attractions and good food nearby. Staff were happy to help when I had questions about buying glass and seemed to be very kind in general. Lovely place and will definitely stay there again in future.

The family who owned the business were really helpful and very kind. Location was perfect - close enough to centre to not get lost and far enough away to get away to more peaceful area in the evenings Room was very nice We had to stay in Venice an extra day due to our flight being cancelled and the family gave us another night. We also had to change our travel plans and they gave us really good advice on how to get to the bus station on the best route. Really appreciated their help with this as Venice can be such a maze to get lost in!

This was the best hotel in Venice!!!! Perfect location, close to all the main sites and close to many nice restaurants/ cafes too! A short walk to any ferries you might need for trips around the island, and to Murano/ Burano. Very easy to reach from Venice train station by ferry. The staff were soooo friendly and gave us amazing recommendations. The breakfast for only €10 is so worth it too! I was able to extent my visit when plans changed, and the staff made this so easy. 100% recommend and I hope to be back soon! :)

The staff here is incredible. They gave us amazing tips and recommendations specifically for activities and restaurants that would suit our two young children. They were so friendly and helpful, and it's what made our trip to Venice so wonderful and memorable. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious enough to accommodate an extra bed and a baby cot for our kids. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything, but totally quiet and peaceful at night.

The bath/shower head wasn't attached to the wall, which made showering a little more challenging (but the kids had fun with it!). Be aware that this is not going to be a modern, newly-built hotel space. It is full of old charm, but that also comes with minor inconveniences like stairs instead of elevators, and an older style of furnishings. This wasn't a downside for us, as we liked having a more local-style experience.

Location was great. Very close to san marco square so convenient location! The staff were amazing. Really friendly and helped us with planning our days there and suggestions for places to visit. She also helped with our bags on departure as our room was on the 3rd floor and that was a great help! Even suggested to take the water bus from the airport which was a great idea! Saved us time and cost efficient Chippy the dog was so much fun to be around! Would definitely recommend!

Showers were a bit tight on space but shouldn’t be a major problem esp for short stays
