Great location and easy to get to from the water bus. Our large/generous room overlooked the square to the side of the hotel and double glazing kept the room quiet (although a little stuffy). The breakfast room had a good selection and in the late afternoon you could enjoy a drink from the Bar and sit on the deck out the front and watch the gondola’s and boats go by. An older hotel with character.

A couple of notes (not dislikes): if you want to have your breakfast on the deck, there is a charge. There was no aircon in the room. The shower was over the bath and abit bizarre (something from the 80’s). but all round great value for Venice and would stay again!

Great location close to the main places. One of the main streets next to the hotel, but rooms are really quiet and it doesnt disturb at all. 15 minutes walking to train station.

Bath was dirty or already too old and from the looks of it, it didn't make us want to take a bath in it. The shower nozzles and the shower corner in general would need to be replaced.

Room was an interior room, but decorated with heavy curtains that kept out available light. Bathroom was in need of serious upgrading. Shower mechanisms very old and funky.

Didn’t realise you could not use a European adapter here, it had to be a Italian one!!! ( never had this problem in Sorrento), also be aware that you have to pay the city tax in cash only, not by card.

The location is fantastic - on the grand canal with a small number of tables on the waterfront. Staff were excellent. Nice quiet room. The AC was very good and a huge relief as we visited during a heatwave and desperately needed it. Very close to several vaporetto stop and the gondola station is literally next door, where you can cross the grand canal or take a tour.

The main reason I booked was for the roof terrace which was closed, so I was very disappointed about that. Particularly that I wasn’t notified on booking or in advance of arrival. I recommend checking when booking as that’s a big attraction.

Beautiful, antic hotel in the heart of Venezia. Perfectly located by the canal, with views. Vaporetto is just next to it and the ferry to other islands nearby. Walking distance to everywhere! For breakfast the waiter offered a fresh unlimited cappucino from the kitchen cause he didn’t like it from the machine ;) highly appreciated!

The reception should inform about the views offered from the hotel - we would never know about the wonderful roof where you can sit and enjoy 360 degrees view on Venezia - if we didn’t take a trip through the hotel ourselves! Same with the entrance with the view on the canal. These are these hotels biggest advantages and should be praised :)

The Location was unbeatable, right on the Grand Canal, great access for walking to everything, Rialto Bridge 5 minutes, San Marco 15 minutes, Gondola station 10 metres away and a Vaporetto Station within 50 metres. The Hotel has a small outside terrace which was lovely to sit out on the Grand Canal. Breakfast was very comprehensive and couldnt befaulted, rooms for Venice were very large and comfortable, would not hesitate to recommend.

Obviously Venice Hotels are expensive, but i don't think Foscari is relatively more expensive than any where else. All in all a great place to stay.

The placement of the hotel is very convenient, the connection from the watertaxi is nearby. It is also within reasonable walking distance from all attractions. The room was clean, had all listed ammenities available and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also good, there are enough options to choose from.

Not a complaint, only probably a missunderstand on the second day when we got a call that we were expected to check-out when in fact it was not the case. The minutes until everything was clarified were a bit tensioned but all was sorted out in the end. Not the fault of the hotel , but across our room the neighbors had some tin foil on the window and it created a lot of noise during the night, if you are a fan of sleeping with the windows open.

I liked the location of the hotel very much. I was able to navigate the area very easy and there was many dining options as well as shopping options. There was a gondola station at the entrance of the hotel that allowed for easy access to a traghetto ride to cross the Grand Canal into another Sestieri.

I didn't like the pesky pigeon that joined me as I ate breakfast in the dining area overlooking the Grand Canal. However the pigeon did not prevent me from enjoying the beautiful moment of starting my day in such a blissful way.

Beautiful bedroom, very spacious and clean, good size modern wardrobes. Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant. Central for seeing Venice.

A hotel bar is listed in the description, however it was a small empty room that reception staff had to service when asked. They did not stock any red wine! There was a TV in the bedroom however only italian channels were available, without any subtitles. Could not find any UK channels, or English speaking news channels.
