Location is very good - only a short walk from the Train station with only one bridge to go over. Facilities are clean and modern but with a lot of Baroque Venetian flair. Beds were also comfy - we slept very well. Also, we arrived very late after an arduous 22 hour train journey and our host gave us a complimentary bottle of Proseco which was very much appreciated!

We booked this location specifically because the description included a balcony/terrace and canal view. However, the room we got had no balcony or terrace and only an oblique view of a canal. So while I had looked forward to relaxing with a glass of wine on the balcony, soaking up the ambiance of Venice, we had to hit the bricks for that experience. So I wasn't able to lounge on my balcony in comfy clothes after a long day of sightseeing which is the ideal vision I had for my stay.

Lots of confusion around check-in. We had to fill out extensive forms including passport info which we sent 2 days in advance on WhatsApp. When we arrived, the check in lady could not find it (and did not want to let us in the building until we filled it out while standing outside lol). We pushed back, she let us in and she found it. She also spoke English to us through the intercom but would only speak Italian to us in person which was odd (we do not understand Italian lol). On check out she asked for us payment again which we had already paid in full on check in. Did not ruin it for us, in fact, it was kind of funny.

An atmospheric authentic hotel in an excellent location

We loved our stay at Palazzina Veneziana and I will recommend it to anyone! The property is in a fantastic location, being in a central area surround by lots of restaurants and shops. Nicole and Roza were fantastic hosts, they were so accommodating of us and made us feel so welcome. The facilities were great and you can see that they really put in a lot of effort and thought of everything to make you feel so welcome. An absolute lovely and unexpected bonus was that we didn't have to pay for any of the drinks (water, beer, champagne, soft drinks) in the mini fridge. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the room named "La Salute" and loved our terrace, probably most of all. It was a unique room and view of Canale di Cannaregio. For this room, we did sacrifice a little bit of space and a shower (bathtub with a hand wand instead); however, we felt that it was well worth it for the terrace view in the mornings and evenings. We were in Italy to explore, not leisure in the room. The staff was very courteous and kept our room very clean daily. We would choose Palazzina Veneziana on our visit back!

Beautiful rooms kept in old Venetian style. It really felt like being in a palace. Location is great - very near to railway station, you have bars to catch the coffee and snack, restaurants, grocery - whatever you need, however for short term trips the room is equipped over the expectations. For the next visit I am more than convinced to come back to Palazzina Veneziana.

If you are fragile to noise, please keep in mind that as it is located right above the canal, so mornings might be a bit loud. Now also some construction on the other side of the canal is in process - it is not a fault of the Palazzina, I did not mind, as the stay in such beautiful place compensates such slight inconveniences.

A very cozy room with a view of the canal, all amenities nearby, and just a 7-minute leisurely walk from the train station. The city center, with all the interesting historical sites, is about 20-25 minutes. The location and value for money are excellent! We’ll definitely come back here! There are no breakfasts or a kitchen, but there’s a bar in the room as a gift (champagne, water, cola, Fanta) and coffee in the common area. A truly memorable morning with a cup of excellent cappuccino in hand, overlooking Venice, will always be at the top of our best memories. The staff is pleasant and unobtrusive, and the Slavic girl at the reception answered all our questions and was always available by phone. It’s very calm, quiet, and feels like home at this accommodation.

I absolutely loved the rooftop terrace. It’s why I booked this location and I believe it is one of the best views in all of Venice. Rosaria is a beautiful and charming hostess. It’s a lovely old property with a lot of charm in a great area walkable to everything, which is exactly what I wanted for my stay in Venice. The rooftop terrace was beautiful and I enjoyed it every day and evening. It had a bit of a fairy and gnome mystique to it. The terrace door we nicknamed the hobbit door since my son is about as tall as Gandalf. It’s a bit like stepping through time in a lovely way.

If you book the rooftop terrace, within the room and bathroom, there are sloped ceilings and a bit challenging for anyone over 5’6. My son is 6’2” and bumped his head a few times. However, for me, it was part of the overall charm, and I would definitely stay here again. Also know if you enjoy taking a shower, it is a bathtub with a shower nozzle. Due to the sloped roof, you cannot stand up, but we made it work.

We booked the room with the terrace, and the terrace was stunning. We loved enjoying the view from there, and had breakfast there (bought locally) and late night drinks. The room was beautiful too and had a lot of character. The host provided us with a mini fridge full of drinks, including water, soft drinks, beer and prosseco all free of charge. I asked to arrange flowers for the proposal celebration, and they arranged beautiful roses and provided another free bottle of prosseco. The location was good too, only 20 minutes walk from main square and lots of bars and restaurants in the area.

The bathtub was under slanted ceiling. Luckily we are short so didn’t struggle too much, but its much better for taking bath than showers, as there isn’t too much space to stand. We had merged twin beds instead of a double bed, so it was not comfortable to cuddle.
