The location is very good, it's near to train station and major ferry station. Many restaurants around too. Given the building was 100 year+ old, it's considered very well maintained. Our room comes with two toilets, one at each level. Staff were friendly, greeted us warmly and gave us very clear explanation. It's very good value for money, for its execellent location and inclusive of breakfast. Breakfast was good too.
There's no elevator, you have to request the staff to help carry luggage. We are not used to asking people to help with luggage, and not sure if tipping is required. Our room got 2 levels, 3 beds at the attic and one at the lower floor. This was rather inconvenient because none was willing to split to sleep in the lower floor alone. Not able to control the room temperature easily to the right level. But all in all, still a great place to stay in Venice.

It’s a pretty hotel with gorgeous decorations. It’s nearby the train station, despite that we didn’t have any issues with loud noises from travelers. We booked a superior double room and it was a wonderful place. It was cozy, everything we needed was present. The bathroom was clean and the shower was spacious. The bed was sturdy, but comfortable. This was my first time traveling alone, I was meeting a friend in Venice but I arrived first at the hotel. I was quite nervous as this was my first time having booked a hotel. It’s safe to say that the staff were very kind and made me feel at ease. Checking in was a breeze and the man at the reception was sweet! The breakfast provided was good, with a nice variety of different foods! Overall a really enjoyable stay. Thank you for such a pleasant vacation.
The only thing I’d have to note is a minor detail; the fairly loud bells that go off around 7 in the morning. After all the hotel used to be a monastery. Truthfully though I wasn’t too bothered by it. It didn’t matter much to be, as aside from that the hotel had been really peaceful and quiet.

The first thing you notice is the wonderful staff who were so accommodating and cordial. They heartily received us and oriented us to the city and hotel. The room was beautifully appointed, but was the smallest we had in all our time in Italy, not surprising for Venice, though. The accompanying bathroom was a good size and that helped. Breakfast was diverse with a great variety of sweets and proteins plus cereals, pastries, and savory items as well as coffee, tea, and juices. This is a nice gem in a crammed city; don't let the "datedness" or location fool you. It was central to the train station, to the water buses, and main thoroughfare, so we found it easy to navigate the island(s).
The breakfast was diverse, but lacked eggs, which we found strange. The whole atmosphere needs some updating even accommodating for the fact it was a monastery in lives past. Hate their doors going into the hotel.

Choosing a hotel for our first stay in Venice was a difficult choice, there were so many to choose from, but we definitely made the right decision. The location, just around the corner from the train station, was perfect as it meant we didn’t have far to go with our luggage. Every single member of staff we came across during our stay were friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable regarding any questions we had about getting around in the city. The Hotel itself felt very grand, whilst retaining the history of the building. We had looked at images when booking, but we were actually speechless when we saw it with our own eyes. The communal areas were stunning and well maintained. The breakfast had a large selection of food to suit everyone. The room had everything we needed and was perfect. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Team Abazzia for making our stay in Venice unforgettable.
Nothing.

This was my third stay in this hotel. The location is great, a few minutes from the train station and a short walk to the airport taxi or bus with one long and easy bridge. Distances in online apps are a bit deceiving as they do not show the bridges which can be a challenge for some people with luggage, having said that porters are available but of at a high cost. The staff have been friendly and helpful. The place has a special charm as it used to be a historical Abbey. This year they it has an elevator wich made it much more convenient specially with luggage, also my room had upgraded bathroom. Breakfast is a bit modest lacking authentic quality Italian food but sufficient. The breakfast staff were nice but the menue/quality can be improved. Before Covid they used to have afternoon tea/coffee with biscuits which was a nice hospitality touch, we were told it was stopped due to hieginic reasons which is not convincing after several years post Covid. A tea and coffe maker in the room would have been great. Overall it is a charming place which I would come back to it if I visit the unique and only Venice.
Nothing other than the minor comments in the like section.

The staff here make this place second to none. From the moment we arrived the wonderful gentleman at reception made us feel welcome and helped us organise some nice lunch spots. In the evening we got some drinks in the beautiful lounge area and the staff made us feel so at home. The location is excellent, right beside the train station and near plenty of bars and restaurants. The style of this hotel is very authentic and we really enjoyed immersing ourselves in its traditional style.
The only downfall was, even though the style of the property and rooms is exceptional and beautiful, a couple of the facilities could do with an upgrade. For example, our bathroom fan gave quite a rattling noise which, not a deal breaker, but could’ve been better.

The location is perfect. 10 minutes from the bus station. The hotel is an old monastery, a beautiful building with amazing character. The corridors & rooms are quirky & brilliantly lit with clever lighting. The breakfast is outstanding with so many options to choose from. All of the staff in the hotel were so friendly & helpful. We would highly recommend the Hotel Abbazia!
It's a pity the main hall (an old area where the monks used to dine) hadn't an open bar. It's a beautiful peaceful place that would be lovely to sit in & have a glass of vino! But, in fairness,,,,, the lads said we could bring our own & drink away (which we did :)

Check in staff very friendly and helpful on arrival The air on in the room worked superb given the high temperatures outside The room maid was very thorough in cleaning the room, location was superb for easy access into Venice sights and transfers by bus to/from the airport, plus ample water taxis and located for 2 min walk to main train station
Garden area was unloved with old dead plants in some pots, which made the area look untidy Breakfast was ok though top up of rolls, bread was poor Breakfast staff seemed very unhappy 🙁 every morning compared to the rest of the staff in the hotel.

The family room for 4 was spectacular. It had a sofa bed, toilet and bath on one floor and then you climb a set of stairs into the loft space with 2 huge double beds and a small toilet on that floor!!! It had a "sky view" glass window with a shutter to block out light on the ceiling. The lighting was awesome with some Murano glass chandeliers as well!! It felt luxurious!! Great breakfast. Great staff. Great location - 3 minute walk to the train station and less than a minute to the canal and water transport options. Great baggage storage and rest room facilities if you wish to check out and return later to collect your bags.
The access to the family room only has a lift to the first floor and that was on the other side of the hotel. You still have to walk down to your side on first floor and take a set of steps to the next floor. So, you end up walking the 2 floors instead. This could be difficult on check in and check out day with 4 big suitcases. They did offer to get someone to lift the bags up for us but we did it ourselves. I'm putting this information here only for families to be aware of this just in case you have someone in your family that has any difficulty climbing any stairs. Everything else about this hotel is just wonderful so don't take this as a negative comment.

Excellent location, it is very next to the Santa Lucia station and right in front of Ferrovia boat station. Beautifully decorated, old kind of designs, well maintained, excellent staff, clean linen, very clean rooms and toilet. The hall next to entry is grand. Room though small, is excellent for short stays. Break fast is very good with good range of bakery items, hot items, tea/cofee/cold drinks. You can take a boat (very costly at 9.50 Euro per person per trip) or walk, all attractions in walking distance. They also allowed us to keep bags there after check out, also we could rest in the big hall for some time before proceeding to the airport. The bus station is very next to the hotel, we could easily take the bus to the airport.
Room size for three beds, was a bit small, but excellent for short stay, so giving 9 points for that reason only.
