Great location to get to the main sites in Venice. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in, had maps and coupons for a few local restaurants. The room was very small but that's to be expected with the central location in Venice. It was very clean and just what we needed so we could be out and about in the city.

It is right by a main street so can get a bit noisy at night, but we were there for New Year's Eve so that's to be expected. The windows do a pretty good job of blocking out light/noise.

The hotel location is unbeatable, surrounded by nice restaurants and cafes and literally a 5-min walk away from the St Marco plaza and all the exotic beauties that come with it [I recommend traveling lightly for the sake of cobblestone alleys and bridges and the many stairs in the hotel]. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and the bed was comfortable, and you could find lovely delicacies and a guidebook of Venice in the room. More importantly, Deborah and Elvis went out of their ways to recommend places and routes to visit for a day of sightseeing and for telling me about a direct ferry to the airport that did not show up on Google maps!

First and the most important thing was the friendliness of the staff. I'd come back only because of the manager who welcomed us in. Unfortunately I haven't asked his name. Then the location. If you want to walk around Venice - it's perfect. Although that same host told me that Venice actually doesn't have a center, for tourists, I think, the center is the Doge's Palace. And this hotel is right next to it.

The rooms are quite small but I'm not complaining. It's a 1-star hotel, you don't expect much anyway. And as I've already said the people who work there are just fantastic and you feel really welcome and it's all that matters for me.

Great location not far from the Water bus and from the main attractions & restaurants. The staff were very good and took the time to add a personal touch to helping with planning your visits in the city and recommendations. The room on the top floor with the balcony is an absolute winner and amazing views of the Basilica and a relaxing place to chill in the evening, highly recommend getting this room!

The room we picked right on the top floor wit the balcony was excellent for the views but the bed isn’t the most comfortable and probably needs replacement, the mattress is a bit uneven!

Incredible location just one block from St Mark’s Square Helpful and cheery staff who spoke perfect English Comfortable bed and nice snacks in the room

3 flights of stairs to the room (no elevator) An older house with narrow hallways and worn decor. It was fine and in some ways charming but this is not a sleek modern hotel. Set expectations accordingly Cramped bathroom - toilet was so close to the sink that you could barely sit down to use it

Excellent location right in the heart of Venice. Fantastic roof terrace view of city Our room was at the top of hotel accessed by lots of stairs (no elevator) and was absolutely full of character and quirky which we loved. Staff contacted us prior to stay to offer advice on best ways to get to hotel, layout of the hotel, places to eat and places to see

We loved everything about the hotel and would return. Not advice would be to any tall travellers, this room & bathroom might be a little compact for them. Was great for us though.

The room was clean and had a great rooftop view. Alvise was professional and very helpful. The location was in the middle of the action but very quiet.

The stairs are hard after a day of walking but doable. We are in pretty good shape. If you have knee or hip problems you might want to reconsider. The room was clean but basic. We are fine with no bells and whistles but if you want pampering then reconsider.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast. Good size room. Lots of complaints about the shower, you build it 🤣 if you don’t close the doors all the way and leave it open you have plenty of room

The lift was slow, small and felt very unsteady. I didn’t like that housekeeping moved my personal things around the room. And hated that I had to leave the key on the 4th floor (while staying on the 1st) every time we left the building

The location of this property is out of this world. It was so convenient right next to the Piazza San Marco and super affordable. But I would say the best Part was the wonderful lady at the front desk. I’ve never had someone at the front desk caring so much about our vacation and well-being. She made a lot of recommendations, gave us 10%-15% discounts and helped us find the cheapest ways to get from the hotel to Jesolo. In the room there was also a book full of good restaurants to eat at and we were not disappointed!!

The room was really small, the pillows were really uncomfortable and the bathroom was partially clean.

The hotel's location was just perfect. Very close to Piazza San Marco and lots of options for dining very close by. The room itself was small but clean and very comfortable. We travel light and only had one suitcase so the size wasn't a problem for us, if you bring two suitcases or more you might have a problem storing them. The bathroom was small but fine for our needs and very tidy. The shower was nice and warm and everything worked as it should. Our room was on the top floor but the 3 flights of stairs was manageable, even after walking round Venice all day (and we're in our late 50s)! Having a small fridge in the room was a bonus, we were able to keep cold drinks and snacks in it but perhaps a kettle for tea or coffee would've been a nice addition. Mind you there's a very nice cafe right opposite the hotel if you really need a coffee! The staff were very helpful, Chantal and Alvise couldn't meet us at check-in but sent full instructions to get into our room and plenty of information about local restaurants and cafes. We saw them the next day and Chantal gave us lots more help with places to go in the local area.

We really don't have much to complain about. As I said perhaps a kettle in the room would be nice for making tea or coffee but there's not much I would suggest needs improving. Taking into account the very reasonable cost of the room, the proximity to San Marco and the amount of choice in terms of options for dining there's nothing we can say we didn't like about our stay. The only tiny issue is that we were so close to San Marco that the bells ringing from the Campanile through the night occasionally woke us up!
