A lot depends on your expectations, so we didn’t have any:) And then what we found: a red carpet on your entry, a beautiful apartment with windows to canal, a beautiful serenades each morning from gondolas, the sun and a little breeze when you open a window and nice people smiling at you from a little bridge; at nights you can feel soft waves of water when very silently passes the boat (but really not disturbing, instead lifting the spirit 🥰); we also experienced how clean can be the room and towels changed every day without even asking or nicely surprising about shampoos filled every day 🤗 we experienced how tasty a food can be (for international guests it might be important to have more than croissants for the breakfast, so there you can find plenty of choices and hot meals changed each morning; we also met a very fun and smiling waiter well taking care of customers and making sure tables and clean and you feel comfortable. And here is our top - we were lucky to meet wonderful Matias🌹 and one more man who helped with the night leave of my daughter 🙏 So by summing up it all - you will receive a very generous and warm attention and smiles from people doing their job with joy and happiness ❤️ and this is the fruits of a person who stands behind it all - Thank you to the owner of the hotel - and Thank you everyone in front for a wonderful experience of our family and one special Thank you to you, Matias ☀️

That I booked through Priceline for 3 person room. Beds were shown for 3 as well. When I got there it was for a reservation of 2. So I was charged more when I specifically made sure I was booking for 3. Shame on Priceline and booking.com

Authentic and lovely hotel at the center of the city. Amazing view from the windows to one of the canals. It was quite romantic to hear and look at the singing gondola drivers right from your window. Stylish rooms with mediteranian feel and style. So romantic and beautuliful, we didn't want to leave. Excellent breakfast with a great coffee. Still, the best thing is the kindness and support from the staff. This was one of the best attitude and support we have ever received. We will always remember our visit not only because of the city, but also because of this hotel! Don't look any further, this is the hotel to stay in Venice.

The location for the price was really amazing. The staff especially Mattia was so friendly and helpful and gave us so many golden recommendations. We loved safely secure out luggage on final day. We liked opening windows and seeing the world outside - no views but it really felt like we were in Venice!

The shower was so small. I am not sure a lot of people would fit. No lifts probably anywhere affordable in Venice. But if you can get a lower floor that would be better. We were on second floor of three with about 50 steep steps.

The staff at the desk was excellent and extremely helpful. They answered many questions, gave recommendations, and made our stay very enjoyable! Very friendely and pleasant.

We had a very difficult time finding the hotel. This is a problem that is very easy to solve. The address doesn't help. Google maps didn't help. Provide some photos on your website of the corridor, nearby areas, etc to help visitors locate your entrance. We were nearby (within 200 feet) and still didn't easily see the entrance. If the website indicated to go down the corridor and look for the circular Hotel Mercurio sign above the door and provided several landmarks we could have more easily found it.

The location was perfect and the hotel was very very clean ! The personnel is extraordinary, everyone was very polite extremely helpful and always with a smile! And this was true for all of them! The breakfast was amazing. The location was perfect, nothing out of the interesting things in the old city was more than 12 minutes far. , plus that it is inside the canal! Best hotel experience I have had in a sensible price !

I liked everything! It is just good to know that there is a stair in the entrance that you cannot avoid .

The breakfast was fantastic. But the best thing about my stay- aside from the room - was the lovely woman who heads the reception area. She was incredible! Warm, friendly, intelligent & thoughtful. She gave me a lot of insight into Venice today and historically!

Be sure you tell people how many stairs there are. I have a bunch of mobility issues, but I’m still going to stay at Mercurio next time, I’ll just be in training before I go.

Excellent location for visiting the city. Beds are quite good and rooms are good for this category hotel. Young man at the reception was very kind. Good pressure and temperature in the shower. Very clean in the rooms and good housekeeping.

This is personal but I don’t like wool blankets and would have preferred duvets/bed covers. Common areas look worn out. Air conditioning in the room is basic- was not a problem for me given the season but it would probably be too warm in the summer.

We started our Italy vacation in Venice - this was our first stop! We were welcomed with smiles and a room upgrade. The room was just fine - not "modern" at all, but lovely. The shower was great with lots of hot water - and they provided slippers! There is no view, if that is important to you - just get out and walk - you'll see canal after canal!

Nothing - Venice is magical! Don't be picky - just get out there and enjoy yourself!

Cute hotel in a perfect location next to a canal....close to shops, restausants, and all the key sites. We loved our fantastic suite with a canal view...seeing the gondolas passing below our windows and hearing the gondoliers singing will be in our memories forever. The Staff were very friendly, helpful and truely cared to make our stay very pleasant. They were so helpful in getting our transportation to the airport... A boat ride located right next to the hotel to the airport..Outstanding...down the canals, pass the Grand Canal out to the open seas to the airport. We will be back again !!
