The hotel (palazzo) was amazing! Our room was a gorgeous chocolate brown- tastefully done. The modern conveniences are there, worked around the original elegant theme. There IS an elevator (a big deal in Europe). Breakfast offers a wide selection of goodies-eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, grains, yogurts, fruit, vegetables, juices & coffees. It’s advisable to add on the breakfast packaged as I didn’t see too much in the way of breakfast during my walks. The staff was very helpful in finding me a hairdresser around town - I had a photoshoot but didn’t take my hair tools with me. The staff also called a water taxi for us when we left. My husband & I are thankful to the management & staff for making our 25th anniversary very memorable. We deeply appreciate your attention to detail. Grazie! Until next time, Paige & Albert.

Beautiful unspoilt Venetian building. Fabulous common hallways on each floor with lots of natural light. Lovely courtyard garden for hotel guests with possibility to take breakfast or a drink there. Bedroom decorated and furnished in Venetian style in keeping with the architecture and spotlessly clean. Easily reached by water taxi straight to the door or fast vaporetto from platform B at Pizzale Romana to Zattere. Also very close to Accademia bridge and Grand Canal vaporetto stop. There was an interesting selection of food for breakfast with very helpful pleasant waiters. In fact all of the hotel staff that we met were very professional and helpful.

There was taped music in the garden from early morning until late evening which seemed unnecessary in such a beautiful setting especially at breakfast. It woukd have been nicer to hear the birds and church bells. There was a bit of noise in our room facing the canal from the Cicchetti bars beside the canal but this didn't seem to be a problem when we visited in March as they closed about 21.30.

The hotel was a beautiful building, and the renovation of it was just stunning. We were very fortunate to have been upgraded to a junior suite; everything about it just dripped Venice! From the beautiful chandelier from the Murano glass factory to the exquisite fabric wallpaper, it all just breathed opulance which, after all, is what Venice is about!

If I had to find something on the not-great side, it would be that the Breakfast eating area was pretty small and if more than a couple of groups, you would almost be on top of each other. However, our visit was in February at 2 degrees so we didn't venture out into the lovely garden, which is set up for breakfast in warmer temperatures. One other point which sounds as if I am being pedantic, but with everything else being so perfect, the toilet paper was very cheap and not thick and luxurious!

Stayed at this location for the purpose of celebrating my darling’s birthday in Venice. The hotel is located in a quieter but nice area of Dorsoduro, which we much appreciated, yet it is still in short walking distance of the center on San Marco. It is a former city palace and has been lovingly restored and furnished to retain all of its former splendor. Upon hearing about the purpose of our visit, the hotel team went out of their way to make this stay for us a memorable experience. Not just did they give us an upgrade and the most beautiful room we could ask for, but they prepared a little birthday cake for my partner the next morning and spoiled us with a bottle of Prosecco in the room in the evening. This was such a lovely touch of kindness and we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the hotel team. Highly recommended hotel!

Not a single complaint!

Fabulous property and service! We paid to get a private transfer from the airport to the hotel and it was well worth it. No waiting in line, figuring out the ferry service immediately after arriving on a red eye, and able to ditch our bags right away. The front desk staff was accommodating in every way. The room itself was gorgeous- hello all marble bathroom! Delicious coffee and cocktails available at the bar.

The AC stopped working in the middle of the night on the 2nd night of our stay. It was working again by the next afternoon so I'm not sure what happened but it was definitely a little hot and when we opened the windows we got mosquitos in, so don't recommend doing that!

The location was ideal for us, we were close enough to the places we wanted to visit, and it wasn’t too busy around the area. There was plenty of choice for food nearby, and a great gelato next door. The staff were amazing, super friendly and especially Michael on the main desk, he was so helpful.

The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, we did get an upgrade for free which was really kind of the hotel, but it was still quite small.

Hotel was absolutely amazing an old palazzo opposite the last gondola boat making yard . Staff were amazing the room was gorgeous overlooking the canal. I think I must have got an upgrade. Sitting room with a large balcony huge bedroom and ensure beautifully decorated. Also included a free boat trip in a private speed boat over to murano to watch actual glass making

The room temperature was really hot and seemed to automatically go to 24 degrees minimum whenever I put my card key in. I had to switch it off each time I came into the room and open the windows . I lots of places though were this hot so it might be they like it warmer.

Beautiful renovated old building, slightly out of the busy centre but just around the corner from a vaporetto stop. It was a great relief to return every day to the air conditioning (the weather was very hot and humid) and away from the crowds. Staff were really helpful, professional and friendly. Lovely garden, good breakfast, spacious and comfortable room - we were very happy!

Really nothing to criticise, everything was wonderful - although ideally I would have liked a cool bath or a swimming pool in the hot weather!

We enjoyed a fabulous stay! Would recommend this to anyone travelling to Venice. We booked last minute, securing a beautiful room for a very cheap price. Upon arrival we enjoyed complementary Prosecco and fruit in the room, a generous breakfast in the courtyard the next day and our balcony in the presidential suite had a beautiful view over a canal, overlooking a church. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
