We were greeted by Christian, the front desk staff. He was a wealth of information, and if he didn't have the answer, he promptly found it. The hotel is cute and it feels like you are staying at a family owned house. The breakfast was small, but the staff was lovely and it was nice having a restaurant attached. It was right around the corner from everything but away from all the crowds. We were in Academia district. Great cafes, water taxis, sight seeing all right there.

The shower was weird. Small kidney bean shaped tub that didn't leave much room for showering and due to where the shower is mounted, water leaked out and we wasted a lot of towels to keep the floor dry. Our children's room was not like that. They had just a stand alone shower, so they didn't have the same issue. The restaurant attached had a limited menu and was pricey but has a high rating. Aside from breakfast we didn't eat there because it was too expensive and not many options. But so many other places near by. I will say a lot of places closed early, so if you are looking for decent food open late go around the corner to Gino's

Great location in Dorsoduro, away from the business of San Marco. Close to the Alilaguna ferry to the airport. Small, clean and friendly. Good breakfast. Great base for Venice.

Wonderful hotel, great location located in a quiet area of Dorsoduro, close to the Accademia stop and from the promenade to Zettere. Great breakfasts with aquiet and green garden, very friendly staff, always helpful and informative. I would recommend to everyone and for sure I will return there :)

I would like to thank all the staff at Hotel Agli Alboretti for making our holiday in majestic Venice comfortable, safe and enjoyable beyond expectation. The hotel is located in a fabulous neighbourhood (Dorsoduro), very near to the Gallerie dell' Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery and just a 5-minute walk from Zattere where one can easily take the boat to and from the airport. The building of the hotel is beautifully Venetian, the breakfast was delicious and we were treated with respect and warmth. I am really looking forward to coming back to Venice and Hotel Agli Alboretti. Grazie mille!

We always return to Agli Alboretti because of the gracious, friendly and welcoming staff in a city overrun by tourists. The reception, the housekeeping and the breakfast in a garden are superb. The location is relatively quiet and so convenient between two vaporetto stops. The hotel is beautiful, featuring lovely terrazzo floors, large airy rooms (sitting rooms on each floor and outside terrace on top), historic Venice artworks and decoration with modernized bathrooms and air conditioning- a perfect combination of style with utility.

Location in a quiet part of Venice, but within minutes walk of both Accademia and Zattere vaparetto stations and 10 minutes walk to Saint Mark's square. Breakfast included - quite substantial. Room great -- tea and coffee facilities topped up every day. I've stayed in Venice before and this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Great value for money, exceptionally helpful staff. Our room was on 4th floor, and might be a bit tricky for people with mobility issues (elevator is very tiny) but I am sure that travellers with specific requirements could discuss with excellent hotel staff.

Lift a little small, but that's par for the course in Venice.

Hotel Agli Alboretti is a real jewel. Located in the heart od Venice, close to two vaporetto stops, yet very quiet. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is very good and can be eaten in a lovely small garden. There is also a roof terrace with beautiful view towards the island od Giudecca. I recommend the place to all sorts od travellers, maybe not families with young children.

Everything was fine. Only the timing of breakfast on weekends could be extended to 10 a.m.

The location is really perfect! Just walking distance to the main places, public transport, restaurants, pubs, shops, supermarket, etc! No noise on sleeping time as the hotel is not in the centre. It is located less than 0.5km from the centre and from public transport (ferrovia, bus to Marco Polo airport). 15/20 min in a normal walking. Easy, easy! Breakfast fast is good for a 3 stars hotel. Actually the exceeds my expectations to be honest! I highly recommend them! The staff are really great, friendly, very professional, all good! Christian, the guy from the reception was amazing in helping us even advising in terms of what transport to take, what to visit in Venice etc. Tchinzia (not sure about how to write the lady’s name (on the reception), and the stuff looking after us on breakfast, where so professional and amazing! To me, it is 5 stars job for all the team! Definitely, if I came back to Venice, before I search for another hotel, I’ll check the availability on this hotel first!! Ah, by the way, there’s a frigo bar in the room with welcome drinks (water, beer, coca-cola…) for the first day, a lot of tea and coffee everyday! Even a kettle is available in the room, toiletries including sleepers. The mattress to me was really good! If you need more pillows, just ask them. Air conditioner in the room… all good!! In the morning, the lift is too slow as it has been busy (breakfast time). Don’t get bored. Take the stair is good for our health (if you can of course). There’s a balcony on the top floor, people who sit there they are respectful, don’t disturb other guests on that floor. Amazing!

Everything was perfect. Venice is the most beautiful city I've visited, and its magic is evident everywhere. Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in, even though I've been accommodated in more expensive or technologically advanced hotels. This hotel is a gem, a true treasure. It's a jewel with the most wonderful staff possible. I especially want to congratulate Christian, the receptionist, with whom I spent over an hour on the first day during check-in. He explained everything I needed to know and answered my questions in the smallest detail. He's like a guide, making sure every day if we need anything or if he can assist with information. When needed, he went the extra mile and even left notes with places to visit, websites, and more. The hotel's location is perfect, it's clean, and it offers an astonishing view. The best hotel I've ever experienced."

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Those at the front desk were always willing to provide directions and suggestions. Right from the first day they knew us and handed our key to us automatically when we returned! The breakfast was superb- a selection of meats and cheeses, fruit, cereals, bread, hard boiled eggs, delicious pastries and cakes. The staff in the breakfast area were also exceptionally nice. The location of the hotel was fantastic, steps from the Accademie bridge.

Not a dislike, just to be aware of- you need to go up and down one step to access the elevator.
