The view from the room says everything. I was totally not expecting the stunning scenery when I chose to order a room with the canal view. The hotel is old but all necessary facilities are well equipped with all the Wi-Fi and air conditioning working well. The location is super convenient, just a 3 minute walk from the water bus station. The spot is hidden away from major tourist spot so a cozy and silent atmosphere is guaranteed. Went to a restaurant nearby (3 min walk again!) which serves great pasta (Trattoria ai Cugnai dal 1911). Definitely a great place to stay!

The breakfast is not particularly good but satisfies basic needs. Would be a great plus if the hotel could serve simple made to order dish instead of buffet service.

The location is superb- canal-side, with a wonderful view out towards Giudecca. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was much larger and nicer than expected. Venice is expensive and this place offers surprisingly good value for such a great location. The hotel exudes friendly, old-fashioned charm and is definitely somewhere I'd stay again.

The mattress was a bit firm for my wife, and we both felt the lack of any coffee-making facilities in the room. Unfortunately our schedules required early starts each day so we missed breakfast- having the ability to make a cup of coffee would have been great. However, I don't know if this facility is something that is often offered in Italy and it was our schedule which was at fault, so this shouldn't be seen as a criticism of the hotel.

Pensione Seguso is an old fashioned place, breakfast is only basic and cold, the staff is really polite and helpful. From train station you can get waterbus line 5.1 to Zattere(9.50e) which is 2min walk to the right from the PS and to get back is line 5.2.Tickets can be bought in the machine or at the ticket office outside train station .My room had a lovely canal view from the Windows.Couple of restaurants on the Shore and little Shop within 2-10min walk.Supermarket towards Accademia bridge. Most places are closed between 10-11/rarely 12pm.PS is located minimum 15-20min from main attractions, however, with amount of people on the little streets it can take you up to 40min.

Small shower cabin.Showering was ok but It was hard to wash my hair.It might be difficult for a bigger man-just to take that into consideration. You need to push hard to close the room door-which might "Wake up" neighbours

Breakfast was excellent, buffet, a sideboard with varied and very delicious food .... the perfect start in the day. Pensione Seguso is tastefully and comfortably furnished throughout the house, that means, I enjoyed it very much to be guest in this stylish Old-Venecian ambiance for seven days that offers you several modern comfort like lift, heating, air-conditioning, wlan etc. etc. too. Further I would like to notice positively that there are max. about 100 meters to go by foot to a vaporetto station, where several lines intersect.

..... the weather in the first half of May 2023 .... a lot of rain, wind etc. but that's not the fault of Pensione Seguso ..... !! This hotel is a very friendly and clean and above all, an ideal place to stay during a holiday in the Old town of Venice.

Location, old hotel charm and family ownership, large bedroom and view. It offers great value accommodation in a lovely peaceful yet central part of Venice, with great transport options.

The shower did not have a flexible hose and handset, just and overhead spray like those near public changing rooms, so washing was difficult. Also the shower rail arrangement was so old and cheap that the door came off despite being very careful. It turned out that the hanging fixture was broken and I felt embarrassed when told I had broken it… it may have been the previous guest, or just sheer wear and tear! I like the hotel otherwise, this was my second stay.

It exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Location in Dorsoduro is very strategic (away from crowds and still close to walk or take a vaporetto wherever you need to go). The building faces the water on two sides, so lots of rooms do have a view. The interior and the overall style and feel of the place is exceptionally authentic. You feel the spirit of the city and the long-life of this family hotel. As a designer I enjoyed all the details around the rooms and the shared spaces. Rooms have all I needed: old charming furniture, comfortable bed, airco, clean bathroom, strong shower + the view (did I mention the view?) :) Great detail is that the breakfast is always included and the coffee is to die for. Very friendly staff, that offers you all kind of tips and assistance needed. In short: I'd prefer to keep this place a secret, so good it was.

Nothing, except I might have liked to have a little kettle in the room to have a tea in the evening

We found Pensione Seguso a perfect fit for our one-day stay in Venezia. A professional and helpful staff, inside the building which successfully merges its history with modern trends, provided us a pleasant stay in this Italian icon. A really good breakfast in a nice dining room made a great start for our long journey home.

Sometimes noisy canal motor boats right under our windows, which were full of loudly tourist groups with decibels of music until very late night. However, we did understand those acquiring different kinds of entertainment then us.

We loved the fact that little had changed since our last visit in 1983! We like that the Pensione feel has been retained and the interioir decor which reflects the tradition and history of Venice itself. The location, with rooms over looking the water, is central but quieter than hotels between the station and St Mark's square. Now that cruise ships no longer enter the lagoon the water front and its restaurants are very pleasant and numerous. The owner and her staff were very welcoming and friendly.

The room we had was excelent but for us the bed mattress was a little too hard. The breakfast was adequate but we would have appreciated a wider range of choice including something hot - even if the cost increased slightly.

I like everything. All staffs whom we met are very friendly and helpful. They answered promptly when i sent some enquiries via messenger before i check in. Location is near to water bus to airport/city too. It is a special experience to us for staying in a 400 years old building and the ornate decorations/furnitures. We stay there conveniently with the added facility-lift. Overall, they maintain the building and furniture well.

Breakfast was great, a large selection of items, excellent staff. The history of the hotel was quite interesting - building in the same family for 500+ years. The room and bath were fine for European size hotel rooms.

The only real issue is its location, it's not very central to everything in Venice. As long as you understand you may have a little more walking to do, the hotel is great.
